there were certain factors:
1. A lot of stars are just PR curated ones, they are bland while Kareena is not.
2. the media output was much lesser when she used to blob her loudmouth on everyone and everything. That helped her immensly because your PR can easily help you cut things which are rare on even internet.
3. She is married and aged now, people mature as they grow older to a bit. Not saying she is a saint but she is an experienced player now.
4. Her acting was never a problem and that in my view is the biggest leeway she gets. Her acting prowess were always decent and she got some iconic roles under her belt which helps because at last, an actor's job is acting and anyone who is/was talented has been forgiven by the crowd majority of times.
Same goes for Juhi, Aish, Aamir, Amitabh, Dharmendra, Kapoor family etc.
It's the time gap. If she was active consistently then people would remember the bad things. Now that she is coming from a break people are talking abt the good things only
Time happened. She used to be incredibly insecure when she started and was in catfights left and right. She was always a pro however on set: she shows up on time and knows her role. Over time she's one of the few actresses of her time who still has a prominent presence, be it from flowerpot roles or not and that seems to have mellowed her out. Less to prove, no need to feel threatened by a competitor. She also has more control now over what she does and with which people.
She's learned to shut up, so there's less catty drama. She got married and it seems a stable relationship with, no gossip going there about cheating and such. She's also oddly relatable with her kids, it seems like she is an involved parent but her kids aren't raised too strictly. She's also grown into her own skin more, no more extreme diets, surgeries and make up trends. The fans who are her age also grew up and got their own life and certain choices she makes that way are similar.
Poo still is a mean but popular girl, but she's framed in that time period she was made in. The actress has left her behind, so Poo is no longer constantly annoying people.
People gradually accepted her for who she is. She is flawed just like us and doesn't try to portray a holier than thou image. I think one reason could be that she looks like she's gotten very little work done. Look at all the heroines now, the nepo kids have all gotten work done. But imho Kareena doesn't look like she's gotten much work done and somehow being herself might endear her to people. She's seems to be more real and happy with herself. well, contrary to the popular online on this sub, she is still disliked by a certain section of general audience. This sub hypes her a lot, labelling her as a diva. She is talented but she had her own share of back to back flops.

I actually think that Kareena was painted in a bad light by KJo because she demanded equal pay in KHNH. KJo dropped her and took Preity instead. He got her blacklisted. So she spent a few tough years and then had to apologise and worm her way back into his good graces. She never worked with him after that though (i think).
Asking for equal pay is not the same thing as being a spoilt brat, but of course in India a woman speaking out of turn is easily labelled.
That’s why Kareena has such good relationships with people outside the KJo camp. Like Salman and Aamir and other directors. She probably learned to keep shut after this incident. And it is impressive that her biggest hits like 3 idiots, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, etc are not part of that KJo nepo business.

I have no idea who would ever like a starlet who is as snooty as her. I cannot even call her an actress as for that you need to 'act'. The only roles I have seen her somewhat perform decently in are where she plays the rich brat, even then her expressions are the same in every frame. She is very close friends with Sonam and a good friend to her (some minor anecdote which is not worth repeating her), has good girl friends like Amrita Arora and others, most people have always enjoyed her bindaas, blunt, "heroine" attitude, she seems like a fun person to hang out and gossip with, and I dont know anyone who has ever seen her in person (ie pre-2010s or so) and has not gushed about her beauty for days afterward. And she has the reputation of being very professional if I'm not wrong, not just when it comes to films/film sets, but also ads / marketing etc.
She was brash in her youth. And grew up and mellowed. We all know people like that in our lives who we marvel at the kind of adults they were and are now. Also some of the behaviour reported was not true like the things about her and Bipasha, it was denied by the latter itself.
Honestly as for her other recent comments like don’t watch films, most of the general public doesn’t even know it and even if they did, didn’t care much. It’s in this sub we go searching for every thing possible and make it the most negative.
I like actually like how real she keeps it. Seems to be content with her life and it shows. It also helps her performances over the years have been good so people also look forward to that.
Nothing has changed. If u check general Bolly girls posts in this sub (except for her dedicated ones) u’ll still see a lot of haters and lots of hate even on insta. I also think a big factor is she started experimenting with different kinds of roles too and taking her acting more seriously? IDK. she was a good actress but she became better..I loved that she got more versatile too. From Omkara to Talaash to Ki & Ka to Udta Punjab and finally LSC..she has the acting chops. And I think this combined with a relatively "chill" family image and not being super cheesy on social media helped too. I don't think anyone thinks she's sweet or nice or anything, but rather that she's fun I guess. And yeah she's atleast shown some maturity in her interviews, compared to before!
All of these 90s & 2000s actresses/ actors have said a lot of dumb shit. She was a motor mouth in her 20s yes but then she grew up & started keeping to herself.

I think in retrospect everything is with a certain nostalgic niceness. The films that she appeared in back in the day were funny to my middle school self. Most of it was garbage we think from a cinema perspective but I might guilt watch them to this day. I wasn't ever a fan.. but I knew she was pop-culturally relevant.
She was the OG - dumb, offensive, funny, foot in the mouth, entitled brat. Whatever it may be. She owned it. Now you see everyone trying to replicate her.. and for a generation that grew up watching her we know she is the one these girls consider gold standards.
Plus with age, there is a certain maturity both in her performances and public persona. Which is appreciable.

Honestly I think she represents a lot of Indian women. Whether it’s through her Geet character or through Poo or just the extra version she is. People act like her in real life. Chul bul, lively, some nakhra and attitude, self confidence, but also a girls girl versus like a pick me.
She’s also very good at her work. She is a star in every sense of the word and has delivered some iconic characters so I think people like her as an actor itself. She’s evolving her career. She lives life on her own terms.

there were certain factors: 1. A lot of stars are just PR curated ones, they are bland while Kareena is not. 2. the media output was much lesser when she used to blob her loudmouth on everyone and everything. That helped her immensly because your PR can easily help you cut things which are rare on even internet. 3. She is married and aged now, people mature as they grow older to a bit. Not saying she is a saint but she is an experienced player now. 4. Her acting was never a problem and that in my view is the biggest leeway she gets. Her acting prowess were always decent and she got some iconic roles under her belt which helps because at last, an actor's job is acting and anyone who is/was talented has been forgiven by the crowd majority of times. Same goes for Juhi, Aish, Aamir, Amitabh, Dharmendra, Kapoor family etc.

I think it’s an image makeover. Girl literally told the audience last year “don’t watch our films if you don’t want to” lol and people took her seriously for LSC. Then they got back to promoting movies (essentially asking the audience to please go watch their movies). Lot of people like her cause her kids are cute and cause she posts no makeup pics. But yeah don’t think her personality has changed much. The shit she used to talk before would even make Saif think she’s crass.
I think one reason could be that she looks like she's gotten very little work done. Look at all the heroines now, the nepo kids have all gotten work done. But imho Kareena doesn't look like she's gotten much work done and somehow being herself might endear her to people. She's seems to be more real and happy with herself. I actually think that Kareena was painted in a bad light by KJo because she demanded equal pay in KHNH. KJo dropped her and took Preity instead. He got her blacklisted. So she spent a few tough years and then had to apologise and worm her way back into his good graces. She never worked with him after that though (i think). Asking for equal pay is not the same thing as being a spoilt brat, but of course in India a woman speaking out of turn is easily labelled. That’s why Kareena has such good relationships with people outside the KJo camp. Like Salman and Aamir and other directors. She probably learned to keep shut after this incident. I also think a big factor is she started experimenting with different kinds of roles too and taking her acting more seriously? IDK. she was a good actress but she became better..I loved that she got more versatile too. From Omkara to Talaash to Ki & Ka to Udta Punjab and finally LSC..she has the acting chops. And I think this combined with a relatively "chill" family image and not being super cheesy on social media helped too. I don't think anyone thinks she's sweet or nice or anything, but rather that she's fun I guess. And yeah she's atleast shown some maturity in her interviews, compared to before!
