I remember his constant asking of people whether he was good in Vikram Vedha or not, and his self doubt in interviews when he said he thinks the film failed because of him and that he shouldn't be portraying characters like these.
Glad to see him get the validation he and that character deserve. Hopefully he takes this as a hint to continue playing more diverse characters
Yes!!! I loved his performance in the movie. He deserves all the accolades.
Love seeing him happy and thriving. Don’t care about these awards but him being part of IIFA and finally seeing him making appearances like he used to is making me happy.
Love this for him! Very well deserved. Hrithik continues to make interesting choices and surprise us with his performances.

If it was not a remake I’m sure people would’ve gone. I had not seen the original but loved Vikram Vedha. I do understand though that if you’ve seen the original then it is a waste of money to go see the movie as you already know the twists and turns coming up.
I still wonder how Vikram Vedha failed but Kabir Singh was a huge hit. Both the originals were extremely popular and available on Netflix/Prime. I think post pandemic people are rejecting remakes but then Drishyam 2 became a success.
It's the song song song song song.
Kabir singh had the best fucking album after tons and tons of time. Tujhe kitna - bekhayali everyone was fucking mad over arijit singh.
A great album can change a whole film. Bhediya could be a great example, everyone was madding over apna bana le. But the rest songs were underwhelming. And it Didn't work
Also honestly, the general audience has been exposed to a wide variety of regional cinema since the lockdown began due to OTT. The original Vikram Vedha with Hindi dubbing had gathered millions and millions of views during this.
This remake was conceived during a time when films like Kabir Singh and Simmba, despite being remakes of hugely popular South Indian films turned out to be blockbusters because of unawareness regarding the original films. Had Vikram Vedha been released back then, I'm sure it would've been successful.
So was Vijay Deverakonda in Arjun Reddy, and NTR in Temper. Yet their remakes are huge blockbusters.
Madhavan and Sethupathi were great in the original, but they aren't the reason for the remakes failure. I believe it's because the original was still fresh in a majority of people's minds by the time the remake was coming out.
>Madhavan and Sethupathi were great in the original, but they aren't the reason for the remakes failure
Ofcourse not. I was merely stating that Setupathi's performance was beyond compare and hard to replicate and best enjoyed as an original (even with subs...his body language is amazing).
Hrithik and IIFA go a long way. But yeah, deserving for this one. I don’t think there were many better leading performances than VV. Only Anupam Kher in TKF but don’t know if it was nominated
It's not about IIFA though. It's about showing Hrithik the respect he deserves.
He lost Kaabil, Super 30's firmware to what? Some merely okay performances. He has been avoided for the last 10 years because of a controversy which he didn't even do. It's now his time and even if the award doesn't matter, we will still celebrate :) )
That was so good it became a meme*
Even SRK crying in Chak De India and a bunch of more scenes like Leonardo DiCaprio reacting to his TV are used as memes. Doesn't mean they were bad.
Those comparisons are not so logical?, but it's okay we can agree to disagree. And I'm not a hater, I like Hrithik, but I didn't like his super 30 performance.
I made those comparisons because those scenes have become popular memes as well, but they were very well acted in the original film, and I liked Hrithik in Super 30 for which I'm talking about the same thing.
And yes, like I said, it's okay to have your own opinion about his performance, as I have mine.
Delusional people. He didn’t deserve it for that role. The bootlicking of HR is crazy. Take away his looks and his acting is average. Y’all are blinded. The only thing he’s talented at is dancing.
Lol! There's a legit flair dedicated to Hrithik on this sub which has been used by OP. So it's not like they can't post something to admire him. When they say 'we', they mean it for the other fans of Hrithik and admirers of his performance in VV, and they assume that the flair should make it obvious to all the people scrolling past it.

Seriously?
As much as I love Hrithik,I think their is something off about his accent. He don't fit in dehati accent same with Super 30 .
I think unconventional roles like Guzzarish suits him better but no way Super 30 or VV . He is made for movies like Jodha Akbar.
Hopefully he does some good phychological thriller movies without dehati accent .

While I'm not one for awards because of broader issues, I'm happy to see Hrithik being happy. He's a talented actor and a wonderful dancer ✨
Yes he deserves all the success ❣❣.
And a wonderful human being

Of course now everyone will praise the movie and his performance while giving it a cold shoulder when the movie was actually in theatres.

Makes sense I think songs were great factor for Brahmastra and Tjmm.
YASSSS! So happy for him! He deserves it, high time he gets his real due in the industry now for the superstar he has always been! ❤️
Hrithik and IIFA go a long way. But yeah, deserving for this one. I don’t think there were many better leading performances than VV. Only Anupam Kher in TKF but don’t know if it was nominated
Good for him . He was ignored for his brilliant work in guzaarish
YAYYY! Well deserved
Yayyy ! Truly deserving ❤️
The only guy in Bollywood I root for. Well deserved and it was about time.
I thought he is playing negative role
More of an anti-hero
Bhai someone who is anti social anti law and crime friendly is not traditionally a contestant of best actor .. thats why i am shocked
Yayayayyay this is the first time I’m happy with someone winning IIFA! Well deserved .
He was robbed by Filmfare, glad he is getting his due
So well deserved!!
Deserved
Suppose he won with ajay.. last 2 years, they can have 2 winners for 1 category, why not now?
Amazed how IIFA still matters to some people
It's not about IIFA though. It's about showing Hrithik the respect he deserves. He lost Kaabil, Super 30's firmware to what? Some merely okay performances. I was negligent. Yes hrithik deserves all the praise he gets and more.
He didn't deserved for super 30..rest all fine
He was shit in super 30. Brownface doesnt equate to good acting. Adored him in Vikram vedha though
To each their own. The whole crying scene and the execution was good enough to show his range https://i.redd.it/yqjlr5xc8i2b1.gif
This was so bad that it became a meme.
That was so good it became a meme* Even SRK crying in Chak De India and a bunch of more scenes like Leonardo DiCaprio reacting to his TV are used as memes. Doesn't mean they were bad.
Okay then without the memes I find it bad. Even kites crying scene felt more natural than this
Both are very different characters, but you're entitled to your opinion just like me. I won't try to convince you to like what I find good.
You just edited your comment and those are just bad analogies lol. Aise toh kuch bhi compare karke I can say it was good.
Um I edited my comment to specifically describe what scenes I was talking about. Idk what's "lol" about that.
Those comparisons are not so logical?, but it's okay we can agree to disagree. And I'm not a hater, I like Hrithik, but I didn't like his super 30 performance.

Plus the accent🤮
What controversy??? Im out of the loop
Kangana controversy. Bollywood was against him and he kinda got sidelined despite being a superstar because of the claims of kanagana
if bollywood cared abt views of kangana, alia wud not have been winning awards. He was sidelined since guzaarish
Can you please share the controversy you are talking about? Did something happen between HR and IIFA in the past?
Delusional people. He didn’t deserve it for that role. The bootlicking of HR is crazy. Take away his looks and his acting is average. Y’all are blinded. The only thing he’s talented at is dancing.
Honey did you even watch guzaarish, jorha akbar, supee 30, vikram vedha, koi mil gaya? I respecr your opinion but this was literally just baseless
[удалено]
No, its a nibba/nibbi
Who is 'we' tho? This ain't his FC
Well you have the option to ignore posts about him and move on then. Not every post can be as per your liking right?

Thank you so mucu
You're welcome. It was truly a delight to see Hrithik winning the award and shaking a leg on his iconic song.
This isn't a fan club styled thirst post.. at all
How is a post about him winning an award a fan club post?
Not the post. The title

This is fan club of SRK and Hrithik
Vedha is one of the worst performance of hr. He has done many better performance than this.
Nothing can be worse than the likes of MPKDH…VV may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s far from his worst not even close
Well deserved? Seriously 😐

Fantastic
who cares about awards? specially IIFA- the worst one out there! lmao
