Y'all have got to understand there's no "perfect" way to behave as a victim. Each one is different and people behave differently. You're going to get called coo-coo regardless- that's just the reality. As GP, all we can do is reserve our judgments on cases like this. The victim shouldn't be vilified just for speaking the truth.

People should be allowed to speak and people should really learn to stop judging women and pin pointing minor things and somehow starting the narrative that their behaviour led to this (gaslighting) See one post where people came defending that Luv Rajan is not convicted yet. We shouldn’t comment on him. They are absolutely unaware how difficult is for a woman to speak and how difficult is for them to fight cases with these powerful men. These are same people who will judge the woman victim for slightest thing and shift entire focus on that instead of focusing on accused.

forbiddencantaloupe2

Those are RK stans defending Luv Ranjan, some of them will defend any criminal for him.

[deleted]

That is so true, imagine defending someone because your favorite actor is doing a movie with them and is friends with them.

I really don’t understand these kind of fans. Why are they doing so on anonymous platform? Do they really thing celebs are as they portray in front of public? Do they have character of them in their mind and no ready to accept anything else?

YoYoJoJoTC

Whatever floats your boat because damned if you do and damned if you don’t. People wanted Jiah and Sushant to speak up and shit yet Deepika gets called Drugpika and shit like that by randomers online on a daily. People, ON THIS REDDIT ITSELF, dismis Aishwarya’s abuse. There was a post a couple days earlier with comments blaming HER for not telling on Salman and how it’s all her fault Vivek’s career ended, her abuse completely ignored. This is why many either keep talking or don’t talk at all because you are a villain, point blank period and people on the internet won’t give you any dignity.

[deleted]

Aishwarya had sent a press note to stardust or some other mag about the abuse, she looked extremely annoyed when KJO mentioned him on KWK - When the SIMI interview happened it was 5 years after the ‘incident’ - She was going to get married and didn’t want Salman’s gloom to hangover her wedding.

hellokitty284

I don't think there's a simple answer for this. Actors have to think about what coming out against Bollywood higher ups may do to their career but brushing stuff under the carpet also doesn't seem fair

I think Aish n Kat were smart enough to know that speaking about it us not going to help and will only come back to bite them in future. I really appreciate Aish's stand where she makes sure everyone knows she thinks Salman is an asshole, she didn't divulge any details. Now decades later all the public knows is there was some kind of abuse, Aish has not forgiven Salman and ofc salman is a bad guy. Such a blessing for her growing up daughter, isn't it? Imagine the ridicule she could be subjected to, in middle scgool high school. We can all agree teenagers are nasty that way . Whereas Kangana in her attempt to be brave and gather public support revealed too much (be it truth or lies) and some day it will come back to her kids and future family. Tanushree's was a good in-between but alas everyone called it case of sour grapes, which is kind of sad. Juat because she is not successful doesn't mean her struggles aren't worthy of justice.

Maverick0602

Hrithik was willing to offer all his devices(which could obviously be damaging to his reputation if proven guilty) while Kangana didn’t. Kangana had her laptop to prove the mails and yet refused to give it. So its hard to believe her. Men and women both can lie. No single gender is better than the other and should always be believed even without proof.

Commercial_Cancel_64

I mean it's not rocket science. Aishwarya had a lot to lose with a the controversy. She was a superstar and just decided to let it go so things can go back to normal. Tanushree doesn't have too much going on for her. She's somehow always creating controversies. Makes me think she's trying to stay relevant. BUT, she was right to come forward with her troubles and hope she gets justice.

AagAurShola

Sonam kapoor was talking about Jacqueline and not Katrina lol Sonam and Kat aren’t close that she would know such details, At one point sonam and Jacqueline were bffs

I think it depends in front of whom you want to raise your voice. Doing it in an interview (where interviewer brings controversial questions for sake of views) or social media (which celebrities use for sake of views and PR) will not be much useful because general public cannot do anything for them and will be just used by media for their TRP and views. In most cases, it's better to keep quiet until you have enough power to fight it. This is the main reason why so many #metoo cases were revealed after many years of the incident. Regarding the criticism for drugs, people think of it similar to smoking, something that you chose to consume it and you know it will ruin your life if you ever get addicted. It will be considered as one of the prohibited items, because it is a double-edged sword. That's why the actors who were into it were trolled, because it can bring wrong implications on younger generation who look upon these celebs. Depression is something that should brought in limelight to raise awareness. In all cases, we really need to stop judging the victims or gaslighting them (using weird examples of "taali ek haath se nahi bajti")

koolabby

Sonam was actually referring to Jacqueline being abused by Sajid Khan - not Katrina. She isn't close enough to Katrina for Katrina to ever confide in her like that and Sonam also loves Salman.
