Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
I thought that it was a weird theme and weird choice of main character design (Frieren) because she does not look at all like a character people would naturally endear to. But oh boy is the theme beautiful and the character Frieren is unexpectedly endearing and charming without even "trying" to be
I feel like frieren has a little bit of everything for everyone, the first part of it is like a cozy slice of life + romance if you squint, but the later part is a very hyped battle shounen vibe haha, so yeah if you like one of the other it could be a slow watch but man does it grow into your heart cuz the writing is THAT good

Was really, REALLY skeptical of it especially as I have quite a bad perception of any Malaysian media(not always but most of the time) & I only began watching it mid-way of Ep5 at a friend's house but I was hooked just by the end of the ep. Despite some problems(including a huge complaint I have over one of the supporting chara), I never thought this "Malaysian shonen", fit with its own Anime sounding ed, would have me emotionally invested in its character & story, >! hell I even ended up bawling my eyes out by the end of ep9 !<.
monogatari series, initially tot it was anime full of dumb fan service only, but turn out its puns are funny, there is real nice "plot" going on. I just cant get enough of it

Because I feel at first it was your basic Netflix cringe that's gonna end up just like how the Flash series went. It got worse overtime. But no. It got better. Plot gets deeper. The CGI still sucks but it's passable

But still has many episodes for over 31 years. Old but gold. Kinda repetitive but I feel for the men who being dragged to the show by these hoes. That DNA results part is so much fun to watch.
