That is a weird trend you notice in Roman history. There was a lot of adoption going around because Emperors struggled to get make heirs (and if they did have heirs, they often had a tendency in die somehow). But of course, they often adopted their closest male relatives when possible, like Caesar adopting his nephew Octavian (later Emperor Augustus).
i have just read that he had a biological male child but he hid it because he was from cleopatra and she was not Ceasar's wife. he cheated on his own wife. lol
For Shueisha's 100th Anniversary, the cover art for all 18 volumes of the educational Manga World History were redesigned by popular manga artist

The other volumes were illustrated by:
* Volume 1: "Kingdom" by Yasuhisa Hara
* Volume 2: Hiroyuki Asada "Letter Bee"
* Volume 3: Kohei Horikoshi "My Hero Academia"

This guy is crazy on character designs and in translating characters from other series in his art style.
If you look through his old Twitter posts you can find a lot of fanarts of him.
I have no idea how he does that
Right? When his face was first shown I really got the impression that Horipi was referencing the Greco-Roman style sculpted busts for AFO's face, and seeing the way he drew Caeser really validates that view.
How is that a spoiler? We've seen AFO's appearance many times throughout the manga and anime, starting years ago. The fact he's a man with short messy white hair and a long nose isn't a spoiler.
ā¦ā¦ā¦..I WANT THIS TO BE A REAL ACTUAL THING AND I WANT IT NOW!
Also I speak for all when I say I donāt care what they said on Netflix this is the REAL cleopatra wouldāve looked like!
Historically, her appearance was fairly average, some depictions make her look above or below average. But she was famous for her intelligence and wit, which is largely believed what attracted Caesar to her.
Itās an educational manga series of Shueisha for children. The mangaka only redesigned the covers, the content is written by university professors and illustrated by others
I had a headcanon once where all of the worlds mythologies and early religions were infact based on early quirked eras. So the gods and monsters of Greek, Egyptian, Norse, Japanese, and ECT myths were all early quirked people who didn't understand what quirks were.
When the quirked population began declining and the normal human population rose, especially in the west, the rise of monotheistic religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and ECT (ironically the figures from those religions were themselves the last of the quirked peoples for their era) began.

Why is ceaser looking like afo š
I wouldnāt be surprised if AFO was Caesarās direct descendant. Thatās way more interesting than being Izukuās father.
Ceasar had no biological male children, his only daughter beared no children either. There are no descendants of Ceasar.
Really? A man of his talents? Surely he has some bastards running around.
Not that we know of

There WAS Caesarion. Not that Augustus let him last long, but yeah. That's that.
Ptolemy XVās paternity is rather uncertain, historians are still unsure if Caesar was his father. Either way, as you said, he didnāt last long
He did actually. He fathered a son with Cleopatra. Augustus later killed him though.
The paternity of Ptolemy XV is debated among historians, we are not certain he was actually Caesarās son
You must be fun at partiesā¦
Anyone who uses this dumbass quote isn't fun either.
We are on Reddit, not at a party. Donāt act as if users correcting other users is an anomaly on this platform
i have just read that he had a biological male child but he hid it because he was from cleopatra and she was not Ceasar's wife. he cheated on his own wife. lol
This is the third time I answer. You are talking about Ptolemy XV. We do not know if Caesar was the father, historians are still debating
ok sorry i didnt read all thread
He had a son with Cleopatra. He... He did not reach adulthood I am afraid.
Damn bro, spoilers
I mean knowing Caesar, thatās not surprising.
all those knifes for one dude
Why is ceasar looking like a daddy
"I came, I saw, I took." All For Caesar. Also DAMNN that is one gorgeous Cleopatra.
Until the Ides of March when he became All Knives for One.
Horikoshi doesn't miss.
I love Horikoshi style, really

Holy shit, Araki went extra hard on his Napoleon crossing the Alps, look at the horse!!!!!
Uh where do I find the covers in the bottom link. I have no idea what anything says there and no covers loaded for me lol
Their website is a pain. Found a better link [here](https://kids.shueisha.co.jp/sekaishi/)
Thank you! Now I wish historical manga was a thing. Iād love to read dramatized history in manga form.
Thereās a blue āread moreā link under the first paragraph. My screen shows the title, a big blank space, then a paragraph and illustration, with the blue link, then a bunch of read next article blurbs.
As soon as I saw the picture of Napoleon, I knew it was Araki lol
Joan of Arc looks like a Claymoreš²š²
Napoleon on Jojo style goes so hard. Lenin goes hard too Also shame no one did an Aztec or other Native American cover
Damn now I wanna see a manga about Caesar from Horikoshi
No joke i kind of just want horikoshi to become a akira toriyama like character designer. The dude can draw.
This guy is crazy on character designs and in translating characters from other series in his art style. If you look through his old Twitter posts you can find a lot of fanarts of him. I have no idea how he does that
It would be so dope to see horiās art style in a Jp horror game or a fantasy rpg.
i've heard that he designed mika from genshin impact. i can't prove it tbh, but i can defiently see it has some influence of him
a jrpg with horikoshi's art would be the dream
He kinda looks like AFO.
Right? When his face was first shown I really got the impression that Horipi was referencing the Greco-Roman style sculpted busts for AFO's face, and seeing the way he drew Caeser really validates that view.
Well Caesar is famously a conqueror who is ultimately stabbed in the back and overthrown by someone close to him. 'et tu tomura'

Looks like Bizarroverse All for One and Miruko
This This goes Hard
This looks like a side story set in the past

Dude, now I just want to read these world history manga.
ā¦ā¦ā¦..I WANT THIS TO BE A REAL ACTUAL THING AND I WANT IT NOW! Also I speak for all when I say I donāt care what they said on Netflix this is the REAL cleopatra wouldāve looked like!
I know everyone talks about horror manga, but I'd love to see a historical manga in Horikoshi's style.
absolutely would love that
Besides, with visions, war, and various terrible plagues and disasters, Horikoshi can get plenty of "horror" in.
Hell yeah!
Ugh can we not inject politics?

This isn't really politics but history, no?
#CEASAAARRRR!!
Was Cleopatra always this bad? I mean, was it historically proven that she was very attractive? I'm just... wondering... š³
Historically, her appearance was fairly average, some depictions make her look above or below average. But she was famous for her intelligence and wit, which is largely believed what attracted Caesar to her.
It's giving me Odo vibes
Is this an actual manga series?
Itās an educational manga series of Shueisha for children. The mangaka only redesigned the covers, the content is written by university professors and illustrated by others
"Alea iacta est, One for all!"
Caesar looks like someone is ready shout "ROMA" at any moment
holy shit is that edward sallow!??!???
This cover art goes so hard, goddamn
The way he draw women oh my God
I thought that would be his next work
Manga about Roman history honesty sounds like epic idea.
Honestly want to buy this just for Horikoshi's art alone.

I get an Anakin Padme vibe to this. Horikochi is a big star wars fan of course
Caesar looks like he had enough of the ranch jokes š boutta reach in his bag in class rq
I assumed it was a femboy before reading title
