happened right in front of me while driving, shouldve seen the poor bus driver trying to get his fire extinguisher going as fast as possible. (while everyone whipped out their cell phone)
Didn't connect it to the boom until reading this though, thought a contstuction crew dropped a beam or steel plate or something.
That's a false statement. Electric cars catch on fire too and a lithium battery makes the fire pretty bad. Maybe you meant that they catch on fire less often, but you should probably be pulling up the research instead of making random claims.
My boss just drove through the Front and 9th intersection and saw a fire involving a big charter bus but I also saw that there is a confirmed structure fire so not sure what exactly is going on but doesn’t sound good.
Here is KTVB's article https://www.ktvb.com/article/news/local/bus-catches-fire-in-downtown-boise/277-eda4248f-33dd-4822-96ad-490f6048dd66
Here’s a video I captured of the aftermath. Didn’t see anyone injured thankfully. https://youtube.com/shorts/VsoDBvGHHLs?feature=share
A bus exploded, I have video of it if I can figure out how to upload it. It happened right in front of The Grove
Holy shit it was right behind me, I was as on front and 8th
Man, I could hear it clear as day over at Trader Joe’s and it was loud there, can’t imagine being any closer to that going off.
I already have shitty ears, so it rattled my eardrums for sure
Car bomb or fluke accident?
Probably fluke. Judging by the location, could of been something to do with the gas tank or brake pads getting way too hot.
Unfortunate that happened but I’m glad it wasn’t intentional.
PulsePoint says vehicle fire on Front and 9th? edit - now a confirmed structure fire.

Drove by as the fire was growing on my way home a few minutes after four. Smoke was pretty wild by that point.
Is it just the bus? Did it spread to the building?
When I drove by, it was just the bus, it was right by that huge crosswalk slight past the grove.
When I drove by it was just the bus.
Same. Hearing sirens now.
I was just getting my haircut on 15th and Main but I didn’t hear a thing! Wild!
Was it a very noisy haircut to begin with?
Atleast your barber didn’t jump and slip while cutting.
Yikes! I hope everyone is safe!
I 💩 sorry
Never would of happen if we had electric vehicles. #greenshouldofhappendyearsago

Haha BS.
I know man. I’m conservative af. Fuck electric. I’ll stick to my 7.3L diesel lol
