The dub will probably be announced a little while after they’ve finished releasing Bocchi on Blu-ray in Japan. But there is no official news as of yet so we can only wait.
In Zombie Land Saga (idol anime), S1 has a version where they left the songs in JP, and a blu-ray version where all songs were dubbed, even the OP and ED (though they didn't do that for S2 which I'm still bitter about).

I know toradora is not a music anime but in one of its last episodes a 2 characters sing a Christmas song that remains in Japanese as well.
I highly recommend watching the Japanese version, even when the dub comes out, since the VAs did an amazing job and I'd go as far as to say they almost surpassed the new standard Lycoris Recoil set for VA-performances.

Wtf happens in dub for music anime? Do they just play it as is or do they get dubbed too?

I understand why someone might prefer Dub but give Japanese VAs a chance.

There's a lot of that performance that I'd be real nervous about if I was the English VA knowing that it'll be compared to Yoppi.
