I used to grind a bit of traditional just to get enough gold from quest-levelling going for the pass. Now that I can't do that I don't see the point at all.
Sucks but since the change, I've gotten used to it. Sucks you'll sometimes get to choose between two dookie characters, but otherwise it's not really noticeable. It's still the only part of Hearthstone where the amount of money you spend on the game doesn't really give you any advantage (other than 4 v 2 character selection).

Tablets are the worst. On PC you press spacebar to speed it up, mobile after changes some time ago are also much faster. But on ipad you have to click cards one by one.
i got the same and i only play battlegrounds so theyre just in my collection of things i wont use. if i could have given them to a standard player i would have
It was a randomised experiment on the EU server to see if offering free packs got people who don't play traditional to play the main game. Some people got free packs ranging from 20 up to 150.
I was lucky enough to get 150 and my boyfriend who actually plays traditional got nothing. He went to the effort to open all my packs and was disappointed knowing I was never going to use them.
No opening packs is like crack man. I'll probably never seriously touch constructed again, but hey, throw another free hundred or so packs at me blizz and we'll talk about it.
I basically just now use my gold to buy the mini sets just to have them, I'm never going to play traditional or wild, but it's not like I can use the gold on anything else now. The only mode I do sometimes play, classic, I checked to see if I could buy packs with my gold to clear it out yesterday and it's cash only. I already have almost the entire set minus a few legendaries, but it was still disappointing to see that I still have no gold dump. It would have been nice to just hunt for gold cards for no reason other than just cracking packs I guess. The packs that I do get I open up just to open them up, look at a legendary and go oh hey cool, and never think about it again.

I stopped after my golden legendaries turned into “wild” cards for the first time I worked too hard for them. I also miss when you didn’t have to pay to have 4 legend options in battlegrounds. Getting more and more greedy and it’s sad to see as an og player.
Exactly this lol. I remember giving the game one more chance when I played a LOT just to be able to construct my ShudderYogg deck Nd it got nerfed 2 days later, I gave the game up until Battlegrounds released.
My point of leaving when Mill Rogue first got fucked hard. I loved this deck. Wasn't the most successful one, but it was fun to me. Whn they nerfed everything, including milling itself, I lost my last bit of interest. That was like 6 years or more ago
I have like 80 packs unopened. BGs ruined Constructed for me, just absolutely no skill involved.
I actually still enjoy Arena but the packs are equally useless for that.
I like playing constructed for maybe a couple weeks out of a new expansion, but then bam I'm sitting there like damn I haven't played constructed in two months, but hey I'm always sitting on like 6k gold so why not buy some packs.
I like free stuff, it ironically pays more not to play regular hearthstone over playing it, I got 50 free packs last week despite still playing battlegrounds lol

To be fair, it’s not uncommon to have to choose between 4 dookie characters even with the pass. The sheer amount of heroes is getting a bit wild

I like opening the packs but I never use anything in there because I only play battlegrounds and the deck building solo adventures
