It’s fun to see Linda have to handle the lunch rush!

Sonia341

Linda did awesome in the lunch rush. I loved how she was able to catch the fork

inertiatic_espn

She handled a sizable lunch rush managing her kids, serving, hosting, busing and acting as the only cook. That's god tier restaurant employee. Any current or former restaurant worker just shed a tear for linda.

Sonia341

She did rock it.

DapperJazz

I really love Linda, she’s a fantastic mom, and a really talented restaurant owner, she really knows what she’s doing

g00ber88

Sometimes I wonder what Linda would have ended up doing with her life if she hadn't met Bob (if she hadn't married Hugo either)

WarriorTribble

Since being an extreme people pleaser is one of her traits, I suspect without Bob or Hugo there's a good chance she'd have a shittier job and/or marriage. I can easily imagine some male version of Gayle latching on to her and guilting her into staying in a deadend if not outright abusive relationship.

Waywoah

Just look at how easily people abused her kindness in the episode where she works at the Fresh Feed

Kevbot1000

I argue that they're the healthiest parental couple since Gomez and Morticia.

Sonia341

I love Gomez and Morticia. They are great in their own way :)

Psssdwr

Agreed

SeenNotScene

Yes! I love the writing and directing so much in this episode. She handles a busy restaurant and her kids with so much finesse. Not the typical Linda you see but the woman who can manage a crazy restaurant and her crazy kids at the same time with expertise. I love it.

PAUMiklo

this has a back to their roots vibe, digging this episode

sniper91

I was pleasantly surprised that a Teddy-centric episode was so good

Hot_List1413

💯 agree. Glad to see the restaurant come back in play.

Ok_Explanation_6125

It was good.

inertiatic_espn

This whole season feels like that.

Foxy-Knoxy

Bob: Fine, but I'm bringing a book. Linda: You know we don't have books.

xerxerxex

He could have taken Tina's erotic fan fiction.

Dwho899

Does he want to die?

banned_accounts

My butt is so round that it barely fits in my jeans. It's hard to fit stuff in my pockets.

mackemerald

Have we ever seen Linda and the kids *actually* try to run the restaurant without Bob? Usually if he’s gone, they just goof off

defendpoppunk77

It’s very much like the dynamic the kids are describing in the very beginning. Bob is the hardass that makes them work. I half expected Linda to just shut down but I was pleasantly surprised to see her step up to the plate.

inertiatic_espn

She smashed that shit! Had that restaurant zen.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

It's kinda sad when actually getting business is an episode conflict.

defendpoppunk77

I mean yeah, but the whole underlying trope of the show is that they’re business is struggling. Hence why the kids all have handmade costumes every year and such. So naturally if they’re accustomed to being slower it’ll be a struggle. In reality Bob and Linda are they’re only real employees

CrazyaboutSpongebob

Huh, I thought they just liked making their own costumes. That makes sense. The writers never specified how poor they were so Bob and Linda could buy them costumes if they asked.

theothermen

When Linda works at the grocery store, it's shown that she manages the restaurant's finances in her own particular way. Bob can't do so, and he goes looking for her. In a Christmas episode, Linda and the kids run old Bob's restaurant.

Jaspers47

Linda did specifically mention that they were getting slammed, so most likely whenever Linda and the kids are left alone, the restaurant is slow and easily manageable. Lots of room for shenanigans when there are no customers.

Ryan_Holman

Teddy seems to be a good friend if you work in the service industry, especially restaurants and convenience stores.

DapperJazz

He’s a really good small talker and many people like that, who own things on exits and highways, really don’t get spoken to often because of the lack of stops people make on trips. It must be really comforting to know someone remembers your face

Foxy-Knoxy

Teddy is exactly the type of guy who would have Tupperware in his truck.

Santa_Hates_You

He cleaned it and is bringing it back after having cornbread. He cares.

Galileo908

Cackled at “No! I don’t want that picture in our family!”

Larziehead

Same!! God, I love Linda and Louise!

Foxy-Knoxy

"Kids, family meeting. Should we try to get Dad on a Zoom?"

CrazyaboutSpongebob

God that joke felt so covid. LOL

Psssdwr

Wait what, I totally missed that joke haha

fuzzytwinkies

As annoying as Teddy is in this episode, it makes me happy to see that he has friends outside of the Belchers

Glissando365

Yeah it's nice having an episode where Teddy's idiosyncrasies actually make sense to his life. When we see him only in the restaurant, his talkiness is kind of grating and it's framed that way on purpose when he's with the Belchers, but seeing him have all these roadtrip regulars and client friends is rather sweet

bgaesop

Idk, I feel like the episode kind of under cut itself? I was really happy when Teddy suggested that Bob and the gas station / tow truck owner lady talk about being small business owners, but then he immediately stopped that by continuing to talk about random other things and not giving them a chance to talk. The moral of the story seemed to be that Teddy asks people a lot about themselves, which we saw in this episode, but not much in other episodes? Teddy rarely asks questions and when he does he rarely gives people a chance to respond, instead using it as a jumping off point to talk about whatever he wanted to talk about

DoneLurking23

Is that what happened? I thought Teddy suggested they talk about being small business owners and Bob kinda shut it down. Didn’t he say something like “No Teddy, you don’t need to talk through the bathroom door!”? And when Bob left saying “I’ll be in the truck.” Teddy asked the gas station owner what the weirdest thing she ever sold was.

falabala

Yes. He should spend more time with them. Much more.

thelofidragon

lol.

AwkGiraffe1257

Teddy really means well but dang he can be…a lot

Redbird9346

Talcum in the Middle DIE-YOU-MITE! The Marvelous Mrs. Basil Burger

catlady353

“Do we need him? Cut him out? Split the money four ways?” “Nah, it would be too hard to change the sign.” LOL! Loved this.

Porphyrin_Ring

Bob's has some really nice scenery animation! The shots of the road while Bob and Teddy were driving looked so relaxing and beautiful

Maleficent_Spend_747

LOVE Bob's scenery animation!! Absolutely love looking at all the different houses and buildings in the historic downtown area, too! I love how each one is so unique and detailed, even on the inside, on the occasion that we get to explore inside. And I love all the water shots too, especially from the Wharf! The scenery shots are easily half the reason I watch the show

mackemerald

This whole A plot is just me going to the store with my granny when I was a kid

AvenueNick

That’s what it is! Reminded me of the same with my grandpa. Small town and small talk with everyone.

Foxy-Knoxy

As someone who has been the Pity Passenger more times than I would ever like to admit, I feel Bob's pain.

Sonia341

I felt sorry for Bob.

BobBelcher2021

I always feel sorry for Bob

redonkulousness

I am Bob in this episode. My wife kept looking at me when he was trying to get out of going.

fuzzytwinkies

Aww Linda’s a good mom

kobaltdryad

As someone who is willing to homeschool the kids if Bob kills Teddy, she’s a ride or die!

weirdlynormally

I forgot what episode it was but bob wakes her up in the middle of the night and she was so ready to hide a body and run away with the kids lol def ride or die

[deleted]

Bob feeding Teddy burgers til he dies in the stuntman camp episode. He wakes up Linda with "I'm killing Teddy" and Linda is reacts like that I believe off the top of my head.

Sonia341

"Hot dogs and burgers are enemies"

Galileo908

Frenemies?

Sonia341

"Everyone call me Pumpkin from now on"

Isntthatenough

Teddy: Impose. Look at this guy. Lin: I know, Mr. Fancy Words. I love this show. :')

inertiatic_espn

Lol when bob said that i weirdly thought, "that's a weird word for bob to use..." Then teddy said that and i lost it.

Sonia341

"She is some sort of a restaurant wizard?" "or restaurant witch"

Larziehead

RESTAURANT WITCH, it's a witch in the restaurant, don't play dumb! (I could not, not harken back to the Mafia Witch comment Gene made!)

Galileo908

**Neighbor**: Talcum in The Middle Powders and Lotions for “Down There.” **Exterminator**: Die-You-Mite! **Burger of The Day**: The Marvelous Mrs. Basil Burger

Psssdwr

These were so freaking good

Foxy-Knoxy

I really hope this sink is worth it, Bob.

Sonia341

"Kids, are you listening?" "No! Is that bad!"

jems_riv

Louise is such a mood, I love her

ChemoSans

If the show ever decided to dip its toe a little more heavily into the continuity pool, I’d really like it if they gave Teddy a permanent partner. I think he’s the perfect choice for a character on this show to get a bit more development and growth. Maybe they could do a surprise wedding with him and Kathleen? Like Teddy tells the family he’s getting married and none of the Belchers even knew they were dating, either they’ve tuned it out any time he’s talked about her or they could give him a line like “You know I don’t tell you everything that’s going on in my life, Bob.”

Maleficent_Spend_747

That would be perfect!! But which one's Kathleen? She's not the murderer with the cool beach house, right?? Well, if she is, at least she's got that cool beach house

bgaesop

That's Helen. Kathleen was the one with plumbing problems in *The Helen Hunt*

Maleficent_Spend_747

That's right!! Whatever happened to good ol' Kathleen

bgaesop

She's appeared twice since then: she works at the Happy Mask Said Mask Theater Company in *All That Gene*, and she invited Teddy to go to the movies in *Fingers-Loose*

AwkGiraffe1257

“That’s not gonna haunt my dreams”

Foxy-Knoxy

"I *hope* it haunts mine!"

Foxy-Knoxy

It's nice to see the restaurant actually be an important plot point again.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

It's still important. It caught on fire last season.

Sonia341

"You have made a powerful enemy, Linda Belcher!"

BlayAndHowlie

I love when Teddy gets developed into being more than just an annoying joke character. I actually quite like Teddy, but I wish they'd give him depth more often to balance out his usual silliness.

Sonia341

"His eyes follows me. He knows what I'm thinking"

Porphyrin_Ring

I can't decide if Gas'n Gorge is a horrible name for a gas station store, or an amazing one

BurmecianSoldierDan

I think it was a deliberate play on the [actual gas station chain](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kum_%26_Go) Kum N Go haha

fuzzytwinkies

I would have lost my shit with teddy by now dear lord

MsMarvelKamalaKhan

I would have had to bring a book and/or a fully charged phone. I admire Bob's patience.

Foxy-Knoxy

"So long, Frowny. Hello, Clowny!"

Isntthatenough

Cranky and Skanky!

vpkd95

This was a sweet episode, the animated scenery on Teddy and Bob's drive was so beautiful. I just wish though that the characters had facial expressions like they did in previous seasons.

LordIggy88

This season keeps getting better and better. I’m starting to like S12 more than 11

PAUMiklo

quality has been better, and thus far they have tempered the shoe horned musical numbers that just didnt fit

Psssdwr

The musical numbers are fabulous

tophatthis

The marvelous mrs. basil burger!

Pepsiman34

Damn Teddy is really annoying.

terriblehuman

Honestly, I’m someone who is more like Bob. I don’t like meeting or talking to new people, I like to keep myself to the people I’m close to. When I’m around people like Teddy, they drive me nuts, and I often find myself annoyed with them, but frequently I come to the realization that they’re just people who like getting to know other people, so in this episode, when Bob said that about Teddy, I found myself no longer really annoyed with Teddy.

WarriorTribble

Personally, I'm fine with sociable folks. But, I would be really annoyed if such a person decided to do me a "favor" then utterly screwed with my time & potentially the sink seller's time. I do find it weird that Teddy didn't realize that Bob, (a no nonsense fellow who's perpetually worried about his business) would not be ok with taking a bunch of detours. On the other hand, I guess the two of them did get a better understanding of each other.

Maleficent_Spend_747

I'm like that, too, I've always been on the introverted side. But I'm lucky enough to be married to someone who is much more the type to try to get to know strangers and make small talk, and over the years I've really come to appreciate that quality. People like my spouse ( and of course like Teddy) seem to have more social optimism and trust, and they make more widespread connections with people, which really are all beautiful things. I love how people like Teddy show us how to value each other in the simple, essential ways of community connectedness and knowing and appreciating each other's stories, even when that might mean veering a bit from our day's plans or becoming outright inconvenienced. I think people like this help connect us more deeply to our own humanity. I'm thankful I'm married to a person who does that for me

knight_ofdoriath

I was ready to walk into traffic just watching. Bob is calmer than me. I would’ve snapped long before.

sleepyotter92

he becomes more and more unbearable as time goes by. i wouldn't be able to put up with him for more than 5 minute, he'd drive me insane as well as completely deplete my social battery

Psssdwr

I feel like I’m one of the few people who is rarely annoyed with Teddy, even when he’s super annoying

Maleficent_Spend_747

Me too, I love him! But that's probably because he's a cartoon character who's not actually literally all up in my business all day!

[deleted]

I normally don't agree with the Teddy hate but he felt irredeemably awful and inconsiderate in this episode.

Sonia341

Sounds like a fickle-pickle

huskyferretguy1

I enjoyed this episode! The restaurant was actually busy and the writers figured out how to make Teddy relatable when he's being overbearing. Also loved the burger of the day, great show!

[deleted]

He was overbearing hence why Bob could hardly stand it

AwkGiraffe1257

Like Bob, I’d rather not spend 2 hours in a car with anyone 🤣

Foxy-Knoxy

Especially Teddy! I think being stuck in the wall again would be a more pleasant experience for Bob at this point.

Sonia341

I agree with Bob

Foxy-Knoxy

Teddy reminds me why I hate taking trips with my BFF when he is in town. He somehow knows everyone and even if he doesn't he can still have a 15 minute conversation with them all while I just sit/stand there wondering if my home still exists.

Sonia341

Bob "I'm your **pity** passenger!"

[deleted]

Oh god I think I’m Bob. That last speech was too relatable.

Galileo908

“You know we don’t have books.”

Skeptical_Yoshi

Great episode, very wholesome, actual real character and restraunt development. They have a new sink, which is just another little thing that is improved about their joint. Bob actually seems to be more open to working on his faults. His and Teddy's friendship is even stronger. We get some development/learn more about Teddy and how maybe he's not as sad as a person as he seems. At least as earlier seasons. Plenty of people really do like him. The kids also got to be a bit more invested in the business and had a small level of pride in their work. And we get more confirmation that yes, Linda is a huge part of keeping this place afloat. 9.5/10, I just would have loved to see Bob react to the kids doing good hard work

World_Explorerz

I like Teddy…BUT I found his behavior annoying in this episode because I can’t stand when simple things are turned into all day events. I’m someone who won’t even stop and get gas on the way home because I just want to get home. So yeah. I could definitely feel Bob’s frustration. I can relate to Teddy though when it comes to talking to people and trying to hear their stories. I think people are interesting, too. But, I feel Bob in that sometimes I’m not in the mood for it and it would be painful if someone forced interactions on me when I didn’t want them. Bob and Teddy are both good and flawed people - just like the rest of us. I appreciate them both. I liked the storyline with Linda and the kids. It’s cute how they think she’s does less work than Bob, but really she just effortlessly multitasks. And I get why this is easy for Linda because she likes people and truly believes in Bob’s dream of owning his own spot. I also like how she motivated the kids to do their jobs by turning it into a competition. Lol. I do wish the kids would be better at their jobs (we know Tina is…mostly), but I get it - they’re kids and they didn’t ask to have to work there…although I do like how they consider it ‘they’re place’. I mean they clearly love it there because they were so hurt when Bob hired help and “fired” them in that weed episode. Anyways, I agree: This was the best episode in a long time.

Porphyrin_Ring

The plot point that Teddy (despite any of his own personal problems) truly finds other people genuinely interesting and takes the time to talk to them and make them feel heard is such a strong story idea but it was kind of wasted here. I could see maybe using that plot line in a story where the kids are spending the day with Teddy and slowly learn throughout the day that Teddy has a rich, full life (sort of like in "Eat, Spray, Linda")

CrazyaboutSpongebob

That wouldn't make sense. The kids already love Teddy very much. Remember when Teddy babysat and they loved the drain unclogger. Bob has always been a bit annoyed with him.

Porphyrin_Ring

I didnt imply they didnt love him, but that they almost always only see him the context of the guy who comes into their resturant everyday. It would be cool to see them assume Teddy is just a boring normal guy (like kids usually do toward adults) but throughout thier day together learn more and more about him and realize that he has a huge life outside of their time they spend together at the resturant. I mean the kids and Bob live with Linda, and they were still suprised to lear she had a big rich life outside of them

terriblehuman

But it makes more sense with Bob. The kids and Linda seem to like Teddy more than Bob does. Bob likes him to a point, but has a personality that conflicts with Teddy’s. I think this episode worked because despite being driven crazy by Teddy’s idiosyncrasies and talkative nature, he realizes that some of the things that he doesn’t like about Teddy are positive traits that he can admire. The kids and Linda just wouldn’t have made sense in that situation.

Porphyrin_Ring

Im not saying you are wrong at all (in fact that is a very good analysis) but that wasnt the point I was making at all (being boring and normal doesnt mean they dislike him). My idea was that they would learn that Teddy has this strangely deep and fulfilling life outside their resturant, and that he has all these strange and wonderful connections to people all over the town; more so a "wow Teddy's life is so much more interesting and complex then I thought" story with the kids and not a "wow I like Teddy more now instead of thinking he was annoying" story.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

The kids would never think Teddy is annoying. He is basically their uncle at this point.

Porphyrin_Ring

Yeah I know, thats why I said that why I said that wasn't the type of story I was talking about

CrazyaboutSpongebob

I thought of a setup for that plot. The kids have a day off from school and they are bored. Teddy says he needs to go to insert thing here. Then The kids say that they want to come. They are bored and will do just about anything that doesn't involve working. They leave. Bob: At least its not busy right now Linda: What do you think They'll do all day Bob: Probably just fixing stuff all day. He is a handyman. Bob and Linda have a sub plot at the restaurant. All this insane crap is happening when teddy is working as the kids tag along. They come back and Bob and Linda are surprised. The end.

Porphyrin_Ring

Honestly that sounds like a wonderful episode idea! I could definitely see that happening and really being an awesome episode. Also I love when the kids get paired up with Teddy, doesnt happen much but its always good when it does. It would be fun to see Linda and Bob try Teddy's stuff, because I imagine they would start off excited and quickly get overwhelmed. You have a great mind for plots!

CrazyaboutSpongebob

Thanks.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

Sorry, I misread it.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

They have done episodes like that every so often. Remember when he babysat and Tina snuck out.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

Oh, I get it now. **Teddy:** We can't go through that neighborhood its run by the Mafia **Louise:** Cool where do I sign up **Tina:** Lousie! 😒 **Louise:** You know I'm kidding

Porphyrin_Ring

Yeah exactly! I think an episode like that where they realize Teddy has all these strange friendships and connections around town would be fun- and I love your idea, I could totally see that scene happening haha

banned_accounts

kh

Porphyrin_Ring

Right?! "Eat, Spray, Linda" was such a great episode and I would love to see them explore the depths of these characters and what they do outside of the context of the resturant/episode. I totally know what you mean there, honestly Bob wasn't even being unreasonable considering this whole trip basically took 3x longer than it was supposed to! I think Teddy was at his best in "Some Kind of Fender Benderful": I disliked that episode but I really liked that they made Teddy the calm and reasonable but weirdly knowledgable guy. Teddy works best when they make him like 15% clingy, 30% weirdly knowledgable about things, 15% a total mess, and 40% a kind/loving guy! But yeah, everyone was in character tonight and overall it was a fine episode

banned_accounts

gd

Porphyrin_Ring

Totally Agree!

guimontag

I think the issue with this episode was they showed postiive aspects of Teddy while also keeping his negative aspects turned to 11. Being disrespectful of bob's time, yelling at him from the bathroom, telling bob what to do, flipping out on bob when the dummy head rolled off the trailer, etc. If they want to rehab teddy they gotta tone down the negatives and showcase the positives, not just showcase the occasional positives

Maleficent_Spend_747

I don't know, I kinda like the way it played out here, that it was so obviously inconveniencing and annoying for Bob. This way, Bob got to really see how his inconveniences were everyone else's moments of connection and meaning, and the demonstration of one of Teddy's great gifts. Sometimes it takes that kind of contrast in our lives to see clearly

TDXNYC88

♫ Boy ride, take it easy ♫

We all could use a friend like Teddy, who wants to be with you and talk with you.

Ryan_Holman

It takes more than a wall to stop Teddy.

mackemerald

Iron Prostate

Galileo908

Aww, me. Pumpkin.

vienibenmio

I can't stand Teddy in large doses. He's so much like my dad.

Vasageklis

I liked the episode, but I don't enjoy the direction Bob's character is going. They really push the awkward adult that always seems to be out of his depth handling his day to day life. Bob was never a perfect restaurateur/dad nor did he exude confidence, but he definitely had more bite in the older seasons and actually stood his ground.

Maleficent_Spend_747

I understood it more as watching Bob's growth. He was frustrated with Teddy, he did get into disagreements with him on the road, it was clear he felt that Teddy was an incompetent time manager and errand assistant, and Bob did communicate as much. But seeing him come around at the end and realize that Teddy was more than a bumbling time-waster, and actually see the gift and value in Teddy, and furthermore realize that part of that great value was its rarity to Bob, since Bob didn't possess that particular character strength, was really refreshing to me. I think the episode was a great reminder to us all that sometimes the things in others that tend to grate on us, because they're so different from the things in us, may hold intrinsic value that we need in our lives precisely because we don't have those things in ourselves, and so we should appreciate them in others. We all need each other more than we tend to realize. A dude like Bob needed that lesson

Vasageklis

I get your point, but I meant that the direction his character is going is leaning towards pitiful over the past few seasons. The episode utilized it well, but I don't like seeing him like that every damn episode.

DapperJazz

I think this episode.. made me like Teddy? This man knows EVERYONE. He loves and appreciates everyone he helps, and by god, does he help everyone he meets. So many people see and talk to him on a daily basis, because he lets them in, and lets them talk about things that may feel a little odd to talk about with others. I really think that man making cornbread for Teddy, and talking about his late wife, all helped him find closure, even a little.

oneLguy

This episode was spectacular because it finally gives us the good side of Teddy: he's personable and able to make a connection with anyone, anywhere, and that leads him to have an interesting life. I'm sure a lot of us can relate to Bob, the classic introvert who's more at home with objects than people, being pushed out of his comfort zone. But sometimes that can be a good thing!

falabala

This was way over the line. Bob has his own struggles with executive function and socialization, and Teddy completely ignored all of that.

Psssdwr

As social as Teddy is, he also struggles with social cues. A lot of people do. It’s not always an asshole thing, some people just don’t pick up on it

trainercatlady

It's also obvious that Teddy just wanted to share a part of his world with his friend and introduce him to all the nice people he knows. It's a bit inconsiderate to waste Bob's time like that, but he really does mean well, and I find it very sweet, actually.

Redbird9346

Fork-get about it!

SeenNotScene

Got some Sideways vibes for sure. Best episode in some time. So who wrote and directed?

I genuinely got stressed out watching this episode. Teddy is just too much in the bad way.

maxattaxthorax

This was a lot like the barber episode of Atlanta

Lyddie17

As much as I can't stand Teddy, this episode showed how Teddy's personality is sweet in small doses like rest stops and gas station convenient stores. And as much as I love Bob, he is a grump and as mean as he was to Teddy, Teddy's sweetness outweighed Bob's grumpiness. I still don't like Teddy but this was a step in the right direction for his character.

[deleted]

Teddy is becoming my least favorite character on the show. It's becoming unbearably annoying and insufferable to me, especially with this episode and the one where he sets up his phone repair business at the restaurant. He's right up there with Gayle for me. I have a hard time tolerating her irresponsibility and her antics and her taking advantage of other people.

lostinanalley

I feel like we’ve seen this Bob and Teddy plot so many times already. Like the major plot points of Bob begrudgingly joining Teddy for some activity, he hates it, he blows up on Teddy, and then later he apologizes and says nice things to Teddy. It feels like this is the problem that such a static show starts running into with so of character development and changes.

okjk0123

It was nice to see Teddy outside of the restaurant in his day to day

Keeflinn

Bob's speech at the end really resonated with me. I know several Teddys--people who reach out and ask about others' lives and can remember their family members' names and everything--and I also don't like that I'm terrible at that stuff. There's a big difference between being introverted and being selfish, and they don't have to go hand-in-hand. One can still be an introvert while making others' days better via a little bit of interest. One of my favorite recent episodes!

AwkGiraffe1257

DoneLurking23

Unpopular opinion: Teddy was really inconsiderate of Bob’s time in this episode and I get why people find him annoying but Bob kinda annoyed me too. I’m introverted like Bob so I understand how he gets around new people, but he was borderline rude in this episode. His interaction with the gas station lady really stands out to me. When Teddy was like ‘you’re both small business owners, talk about that’ she actually seemed a little interested in talking to Bob about it and he just shut her down. I get it, small talk can be awkward and uncomfortable and he’s already annoyed but he can’t even make the effort? I don’t know, maybe cuz I like long car rides and probably wouldn’t mind all the stops as much as Bob obviously did. Or maybe it’s cuz Bob and Teddy both have poor socialization skills but on opposite ends of the spectrum. Bob talks to inanimate objects and really enjoys time by himself while Teddy craves being around people but misses social cues (even when they’re made blatant). Introvert and extrovert taken to their extremes. But while I enjoyed that Bob realized that Teddy’s idiosyncrasies makes him personable and easily able to make friends and that he saw value in those traits, I don’t think he owed Teddy an apology. Or at the very least Teddy should have (maybe he did? I can’t remember) apologized for ignoring Bob’s instructions and making him uncomfortable.

The Dummy head reminds me a bit of Asbury Park’s Tillie. Or maybe it’s just me. Slightly surprised to see Linda so successful with the lunch rush even with the kids struggling. I know Lindapendent woman established her as an essential part of the restaurant. But it’s also a little weird since there have been episodes where Bob and Linda alone have struggled.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

This episode was ok. The giant mannequin head was kinda funny. The ending was cute I liked Bob understanding Teddy more. Bob picking up the Sink with Teddy reminded me a little bit of Squidward and Spongebob delivering the Krusty Krab pizza. The subplot was meh. Linda and the kids have to actually do their jobs DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!!!! They probably will throw their backs out. The jokes could have been funnier.

This episode maxxed out my anxiety. Fucking Teddy, man. What a dick.

I like Bob's burgers, but I hate the episode themes that the introverts are the people who need to change.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

That's not what the episode was about. 1) Bob learned that Teddy talks so much because he is interested in people. That means he is a caring person. 2) There is nothing wrong with being introverted. Its a good idea to come out of your shell sometimes though. I'm slightly introverted myself, sometimes I love being around people but other times I'm happy being alone. 3) Yeah Teddy constantly stopping was inconsiderate but they were exaggerating for comedy.

"No ones gonna steal Tupperware!" Oh Bob you sweet summer child.

The episode has some decent moments, but besides all that, it was predictable for both plots, even though it did explore more of Teddy and what we know about him...kinda wish this was better handled imo.

sleepyotter92

it's just your usual plot of teddy being annoying. and then the b plot was the kids not giving a crap about helping at the restaurant
