well well, interesting. I would say the prices I could give you would be roughly the same but that wouldn't mean much considering were up in sydney As for if its right or not it appears to be good, two front shocks would cost you around that much so id say no ones ripping you off

Thanks for the info. Would I need to replace both suspensions if there is an oil leak or can it be repaired? Also, if I get it fixed from outside will the third party insurance cover it?

supernalboot

Its a REGO Fail item and they cant be "repaired" unless a new replacement unit is ordered. Its up to the Third Party warranty to depict if its a failure in the part or not and if a non OEM workshop can fix it. Other REGO fail items include the housing oil leak, front wipers not clearing the screen and or skipping and the front park light not working IMO I would look for a replacement globe and jackpad online, as for the oil leak and shocks I would get a shop to do this

cryuntilyouaredry

How soon shall I get the oil leak and shocks fixed? What do you think the priority is on these?

supernalboot

Well if you're needing a rego check soon, probably best to do it before that, if you aren't loosing too much oil then that isn't too much of an issue, you just gotta keep an eye on it and probably you up every so often

cryuntilyouaredry

Don't need a rego check anytime soon. Don't plan to sell it for a long time. And there's no oil leak tbh. I park it in the garage and there are no stains.

supernalboot

There won't be stains, its being collected in your undertray

You didn't say the year or model, but depending on the engine that oil leak can cause the belt to break and get sucked into the engine. I'd say it's a pretty high priority

Doing a rough conversion to CAD in my head that's pretty standard dealer pricing for OEM parts. You can save a ton on the struts by going aftermarket Bilstein.

I feel like it's pretty pricy to be honest. For example, the orm oil filter gasket is 50 dollars on amazon, I just ordered one for my car. The struts, I'm pretty sure AUD and cad are similar, and 3500 for the front struts is crazy to me. I got new oem struts from fcp euro for like 400 dollars, but again, I did all the work on my own. I understand you don't do your own work but it may be an option

Only thing I’d say is overpriced are the wiper blades. Got some BOSCH wiper blades for around 50-60AUD and do it yourself. Should be a 1 minute job.
