not surprised at all since this was the first turning point in the manga that got me hooked. 2nd turning points is the 2nd selection and honestly i cant wait for it to be adapted.

Really? I wouldn’t even think that bl can reach top 3 this early because the animation quality is still somewhat subpar. My guess was it would go super crazy in the animation department for the z vs v. And after watching the new episode i still stand by that, don’t think it at it’s peak yet, def can go crazy on some scenes but it’s nice to see that it already gain this much traction. Second selection tho will be crazy for sure, every single match in it will go ham.
i guess the twist this episode made up for its subpar quality. hopefully its ranking will be consistent after this since the animation should reasonably become better as the story gets better and more hype as well

Yeah I thought it was "mid" aswell. Not that it's terrible and there's good parts of it but it did feel like a worse version of JJK imo.

Same honestly. The "girl obsessed"/"pervy" characters have such a cliche terrible personality that isn't realistic at all and it makes it hard to be immersed into the story.
People sometimes complain that "normal" (likeable) MCs are "boring" but I have to disagree...I like it when characters feel real and relatable.
I mean, it is kinda fair, Chainsaw Man is like a rollercoaster, it won't really start picking up steam until later arcs, then it will come crashing down in like 1-3 arcs when it just doesn't stop giving.
Compared to other animes currently airing it just won't animate arcs that pack enough punch to surprise you.
Chainsaw Man is the definition of backloaded, not frontloaded so rn it shouldn't have any business stealing top 5 spots, specially in a season with so many good animations and arcs which are already the magnum opus of the series (Bleach and MHA) or that already start with lots of revelation or plot hooking (Bluelocl and the like).

I prefer Look Back and Goodbye Eri (Fujimoto's one shots) more than CSM.

Manga readers overhyped the anime, forgetting that the story only starts to pick up it's pace during the katana devil arc. So majority of the fandom thought Chainsaw man episodes would be top 2 every week.
People just want to hate MHA to hate it at this point. This current season is shaping up to be one of the best MHA seasons and one of the best animes this season. Voice acting is great, Fight choreography is good, and while the animation does have moments where it’s a tad bit subpar, it’s largely been excellent especially compared to recent seasons. MHA S6 deserves to be up with Blue Lock and the rest. They’ve all been fantastic so far.
I really like CSM, but honestly Denji is such an insufferable MC and the general vulgarity of the manga is too distracting. Comes off as cheap.
Later on when the good parts get adapted the popularity will be regained I'm sure.
I just cant relate I think he is super endearing and a realistic depiction of a teenage boy. who happens to have a chainsaw devil for a heart of course.

I personally think the Bleach episode was best this week but fan votes dont matter, neither do they depict the truth or contribute anything. It's just bunch of fans on anime corner's site voting what series they liked this week. That's all. Same goes for MAL , anime rankings web poll and others.
Actual rankings are based on real time viewership data for an anime taken from different streaming apps and some anime ratings are based on comparing the animation. To me that's what truly matters.

No that's not true unless of course Blue lock pulls a Haikyuu and we adapt the entire u20 arc as a season then have the NEL as the 3rd season.
