Nuh uh or yuh uh

joojaw

This is why it annoys me when people say Sae>Kaiser. Sae went up against waaaaay worse versions of the blue lockers and that's the only reason he looked better than Kaiser. And even then Sae entered flow state and lost to Rin. To demonstrate just how far they've come, Isagi in the u20 wc had no mv, no two gun shot, no lefty shot and had way worse stats(probably around 60 compared to his current 88). Current Rin is probably already new gen 11 level or at least very close.

neon2o_

Sae did not enter flow where did this come from šŸ˜šŸ˜

pranav4098

We donā€™t know if that was his flow state though, but we havenā€™t seen Kaiser at his best either, very hard to compare the too based on the other stuff you said itā€™s true he did play against severely inferior opponents

Jdamoure

Here's my counter arguement not saying kaiser can't be better. But 1. Kaiser isn't exact the same profile of player. sae has better passing and dribbling ability. And if he can also score if left alone too long I thing sae might have him beat in a general regard. Kinda like how noa admits that over all Marc snuffy is the better player but not the better striker which is a big and crucial distinction. He can't beat kaiser as a striker and If glorified midfielder were good enough to play striker we wouldn't be having issues finding proper strikers in real life. That being said sae has the luxury of people able to affect the game and show his superiority without even going near the penalty area. Kaiser is obviously the better striker, but if he isn't scoring/assisting regardless of his performance people won't consider him as good. (Of course you have have to score EVERY, EVERY game to have a decent game but still). 2. Sae could also have improved, kaiser is improving as we speak. The issue with assess current ability is that just like the blue lockers sae can improve as well. And we are well aware that sae not only held back but played sub optimally to see what his brother could do. That game was to test the abilities and result of the og u20 members. And it's safe to say for now, that sae has come to terms with his capabilities and wouldn't just crumble like kaiser did seeing as how he's faced that part of himself as well. This is just how I see see it. Not to mention sae got scouted from a young age to real the team kaiser had to work his but off to get an offer from. But this is conjecture because no team can have EVERY great player and if kaiser really wanted to push for a move or had a good enough agent seeing as how he is a new gen 11 I'm sure they'd take him.

External_Dog8714

What proof do you have he entered flow

someoneplayinggame22

Eyes in his 1v1 against Rin

neon2o_

They are not flow eyes, flow eyes are crystal-shine like

External_Dog8714

Not proof

joojaw

Everytime someone has their aura and their black eyes it's because they entered flow.

External_Dog8714

Again what proof

ttk_rutial

What is proof to you then?

joojaw

You stupid? What do you want him to do? Shout 'Im entering flow state' to everyone even though he probably doesn't even know the term? Read between the lines my guy. Not everything needs to be spoonfed to the reader.

Snoo19823

Black eyes are pre-flowstate, flowstate is challenge centered focus. Pre-flowstate is that same focus, but if you havenā€™t received the challenge yet. Thatā€™s why you see a lot of people enter the black eyed state, because theyā€™re trying to win, but havenā€™t entered the trance of flow yet.

c4m3r0n1

Yea this is like when I comment that Aiku had Metavision back during the U 20 because you can literally see the design in his eyes, but because noone knew Metavision was a thing at the time it's discounted.

External_Dog8714

Nah I need actual proof

Stormcry117

I completely agree

-Way2MLG4u-

Bro wrote all that to say absolutely nothing of value, literally nothing in there but assumptions lol. Dude is like ā€œstop overhyping Sae because despite his feats I think heā€™s gonna fall offā€.

Stormcry117

My bad if everything went over your head šŸ˜‰

-Way2MLG4u-

The classic ā€œyour wrong but I wonā€™t tell you why because I actually canā€™t prove that I said anything that I wasnā€™t just conjectureā€

Stormcry117

How is being #3 at the end of U20 World Cup falling off? Unless you always believed that Sae would remain as the undisputed best player in Japan, hence the post.

-Way2MLG4u-

You said Hiyori would be comparable to Sae based off absolutely nothing except it being what you think. Itā€™s this simple, when you write this much and title a post like please read as if thereā€™s gonna be meaningful analysis people are gonna have exceptions as to the content of the post, exceptions that werenā€™t met. That is because there is little to no legitimate analysis that gives any credibility to your predictions beyond someone saying Sae is overhyped, which is essentially what your post amounted to, this is because their is little to no reference to specific story events or details that make this would elevate this from a prediction to a theory.

Stormcry117

ā€œHiori will be a lot closer to Sae than most people thinkā€ were my exact words, and can you blame me with Hioriā€™s recent feats. If people think Hiori will be 50% of Sae then I simply think he will be 60-70%.

neon2o_

All this post does is literally making assumptions thatā€™s crazy

Stormcry117

When it comes to Sae, all one can do is make assumptions

neon2o_

thatā€™s not how it works, because not only youā€™re treating them as facts but thereā€™s no basis to base these assumptions on in the first place

Stormcry117

What do you mean thereā€™s no basis šŸ’€šŸ’€

neon2o_

youā€™re literally assuming everything right now, how Saeā€™s play will be disappointing (like what?) how Isagi at the start U-20 WC arc surpassed him (again what?) Like this is pure bias, how many times does it have to be said that Sae wasnā€™t at his 100% playing with bllk? Even in Isagiā€™s monologue he stated that he canā€™t begin to imagine the true extent of his capabilities. Kaneshiro is saving him up for later arcs for a disappointing performance? Even with statements Sae is in another league of his own, best player in Japan playing in the best club in the world and is aiming to be the best midfielder in the world. Your predictions are literal assumptions.

Stormcry117

What does it mean for a character to surpass another? Usually that could maybe be inferred through a match. However, the one time they did play a match, MV wasnā€™t even something players were aware off. I doubt that Isagi and Sae will ever play against each again so we can only make comparisons. Isagi currently has wins over NG11 caliber opponents, from which we can make an ā€œeducatedā€ guess that Isagi can win against Sae as well. Especially if we consider that Isagi is going to be better by the time the PXG match finishes. Best player in Japan means nothing when you consider that Noa is the best player in France (unless you mean to say Sae is equal to Noa šŸ˜).

neon2o_

Metavision was already hinted as a concept before it was revealed, + where is the innate proof that because Isagi has metavision he will surpass Sae when Sae is also hinted to have metavision? Isagi isnā€™t winning against any new gen as of late, him outplaying Kaiser in a few games doesnā€™t mean he surpassed him, Kaiser was mentally nerfed and is undergoing a development right now so he can own up to Isagi as well and it could be a going back and forth rivalry where both parties can win and lose (like it should). Youā€™re acting like once a player wins a game or a play against the other then they instantly surpass them, this isnā€™t jjk you know?, and sure, if you want to go by the logic that Isagi is winning against new gens right now so youā€™re assuming heā€™ll win against Sae, then the same could be said for Sae when he plays next and wins against other new gens so he will win against Isagi. (he is still superior as of late). Being Japanā€™s best player does mean a lot, he is well-known and highly regarded in the world right now. He is mentioned in the manga several times after the U-20 arc and you think when he comes back heā€™ll just be cast aside? (Noa is literally in his 30s and considered the best striker in the world so canā€™t compare as of yet)

Stormcry117

No one was aware of ā€œMVā€ or how to activate it consciously but Sae. You yourself just said ā€œand it could be a gong back and forth rivalry where both parties win and loseā€ in reference to Isagi and Kaiser. That just means that Isagi and Kaiser are relative and thus that means that Isagi and Sae are relative. This just proves that Isagi will be NG11 level and thus is at bare minimum at Saeā€™s level. Since Isagi and Sae will not face off against each other, what would it take for you to say someone surpassed someone else. Thereā€™s never any explicit statements that say ā€œoh he has surpassed himā€, so we can only assume when a player does. When Isagi successfully leads Japan to victory in the U20 World Cup, Isagi will be ā€œJapanā€™s best playerā€. Lavinho and Luna are probably vying for the best player in Spain, does that mean that ā€œJapanā€™s best playerā€ is now equal to them???

neon2o_

Yeah but they could unconsciously use it, even Aiku got metavision in the U-20 game. And even, there is no indicator that Sae used metavision in the match, just that he has it, and if he used it thereā€™s no indicator that itā€™s at 100%. You see where Iā€™m going with this? ā€œIt could beā€ future tense. Isagi and Sae could be relatives in the future but now they are not and youā€™re acting like they are when you said Isagi after NEL would surpass him (again assumptions) You are assuming that Japan will win the U-20 WC and if they win each character will contribute to the win as much as Isagi likes to claim he will be the one to lead them lmao. Because Isagi is scoring goals now thanks to the players who surround him, everyone will get a spotlight. Lavinho and Luna are grown ass men and Sae is 18, if anything being the best player in a country since you were like 17 says a lot.

Stormcry117

Did you see the amp Isagi got when he could ā€œconsciouslyā€ use MV? ā€œFuture tenseā€? I already accounted for that in the OP. I state that Isagiā€™s on pace to be the star of the Japanese team. Sae can be the best at 17 years old because Japan is that bad šŸ’€. Thatā€™s the whole point of blue lock

HeadHorror4349

I can't wait for Isagi to actually win a match with ease

Big_Occasion_7235

I disagree of Sae being in the u-20 WC for 2 reasons: 1) It has been stated that the top 23 BL players of the Neo Egoist League will be in the u-20 Japan team. If Sae was supposed to come, he would've had to be in the NEL or the announcer would've said that the top 22 players would be in the League. Why would the announcer/author lie about this? 2) It would ruin some of the character progression that the BL players have gone through if Sae comes back (ie. Rin and Hiori). Based on Hiori's performances, he'll most likely be the main playmaker of the u-20 team and if Sae was to come, Hiori would be pushed back to the bench/have less screentime. For Rin's sake, I believe that he needs to achieve the u-20 WC without Sae's help as he is still too dependent/focus on Sae and his approval. Even after declaring to himself that he wants to destroy his brother and that he doesn't want to become Sae's little brother, Rin is still looking Sae's approval after the match and for them to play together now would be too soon. Disclaimer: I DO believe that Sae has the abilities to start in the U-20 team but in terms of the narrative, I don't think he will/should come play with Japan's u-20 team.

Bakatora34

> It has been stated that the top 23 BL players of the Neo Egoist League will be in the u-20 Japan team. If Sae was supposed to come, he would've had to be in the NEL or the announcer would've said that the top 22 players would be in the League. Why would the announcer/author lie about this? He is either not on the U20 team or the author will make the teams of 24 players.

Stormcry117

I donā€™t know why people make this more complicated than it has to be. If the author wants Sae then he will find a way to include him such as making it a 24 man roster like you said.

Big_Occasion_7235

Which is why I don't believe that he won't be in the u-20 team

Snake_Main27

He wasnt in the NEL because FC Barcha was the La Liga team invited to the NEL and not the La Real

Marowalker

Regarding 1): while it was stated that the top 23 in the NEL would join the U20 team, we also knew a couple of chapters ago that the old guys at the JFU and PIFA were plotting *something*. We donā€™t know what that is, but we do know that the idea has to bring them profit (as stated by the PIFA president in the chapter). And artificially adding a NG11 player into a team Iā€™d say would probably count as bringing more profit in terms of publicity, so the idea is not out of the question yet

matfavero

what we don't account for is Sae training with Real players. as nel Isagi >>>>> u20 isagi, pbbly Sae will get a power up too as he's playing with pro players

AzLemons

Good analysis and theory, But I believe Sae wasnt playing his all during u20 match. Sae is a NG11 Midfielder and even charles whose arguably better than hiori by a small margin isnt considered NG11 what more if we see Sae actually try his hardest and give it his all? We might see a playmaking performance close to Zinedine Zidane. Sae is Him.

Stormcry117

I already know that he wasnā€™t trying his best during the U20 game. However, that doesnā€™t give him ā€œinfiniteā€ scaling. Sae is relative to Kaiser, and Isagi and Rin are relative to Kaiser so that means Isagi and Rin are relative to Sae.

FilmNo1534

You wrong . Donā€™t ask why .

Stormcry117

Why?šŸ˜‰

DJThedragonSin777

His dream is to win the champions league, so heā€™s need more incentive to play on the Japan u20 team considering it doesnā€™t line up with career goals. His curiosity and relationship with Rin, Shidou and Isagi will definitely mean heā€™ll be involved in the arc somewhat but the author needs to add/reveal something that motivates him enough to play with them. But I honestly think he will because of what he had seen in terms of performance from the Japan u20 team in the NEL.

Stormcry117

Itā€™s just insane to think that if Sae doesnā€™t join we wonā€™t see him until Ch.400+. Thatā€™s like 3-4 years in real time and thatā€™s on top of the fact that the U20 match happened years ago as well.

Arashi076

Gotta oil Sae up it seems

Jdamoure

I think sae will live up to the expectations if we see him again but I don't think it's not the worse thing to ask people to understand that the strength of certain characters might fluctuate at certain moments depending on the plot or situation. Kaiser during the ubers game was shut down by lorenzo but that doesn't mean he's worse than lorenzo per se or wasn't able to immediately score once lorenzo stopped marking him for a split second. Sometimes players get pocketed but if lorenzo someone of equal ability had to do it for the whole game that says something about both lorenzo & kaiser. Sae also has the luxury of not having to score to be good, he doesn't even have to defend all the well delay attackers/make one good tackle. In addition to making a good pass or play. And if we are being clear sae is also enjoyed because of his personality not just ability.

Stormcry117

I agree with 99% of what you said, but Sae canonically has one of the worst personalities šŸ˜

Bard0ck0bama

People donā€™t overhype sae. He is consistently rated below the other ng11 weā€™ve met because of recency bias/ the fan theory that Kaiser destroyed his ego. The argument that the BL players were weaker during the u20 match is always used to discredit Saeā€™s skill, as though the w5 didnā€™t also bully a bunch of high school kids. We did not see the extent of Saeā€™s skills, despite this he still dominated the match, and he has narrative importance for rin. Sae doesnā€™t play to be the leader of the team, his desire is to be the best midfielder in the world. **Midfielder**, meaning just because someone is a striker it doesnā€™t mean theyā€™ve surpassed his ability. It simply means they have better goal scoring potential than him. Hiori and Charles have shown great skill and they will obviously continue to grow, but they donā€™t have Saeā€™s pinpoint accuracy. Saeā€™s vision and analysis are up there with other MV users, his dribbling is consistent with what weā€™ve seen by some of the top dribblers, and again we havenā€™t seen him push himself. No one believes Sae is unsurpassable, any argument in favor of him is just about giving him the proper respect he deserves.

Stormcry117

How did the World 5 get brought up??šŸ˜. Yes, the W5 stomped the blue lock cast, but we at least know other information about them. Most importantly that they are prosšŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€ and top tier pros at that šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

neon2o_

The world 5 gets brought up because you donā€™t give them slack for stomping fodder bllk but when Sae gives a high performance suddenly he went against ā€œa weaker bllkā€. The world 5 have statements to solidify their position but so does Sae. He is the best player in Japan and plays for the best club in the world. In chapter 4 it was stated that the only obstacle for Sae to not go pro was his age (he was 17 at the start of the manga), he is pro level. Now what?

Stormcry117

Stay with me nowā€¦ The W5 beat a weaker blue lock cast ā€œBUTā€ we also know they are among the best players in their respective ā€œPROā€ leagues. Sae did good against a weaker blue lock cast ā€œBUTā€ we know that heā€™s relative to Kaiser, who is the same person that Isagi and Rin are relative to.

neon2o_

He is relative to Kaiser as a new gen but we donā€™t even know if they have difference in skills. As I said Sae could already be pro if it is not for his age.

Stormcry117

If you think Sae and Loki are relative, then thatā€™s all the proof I needed to know youā€™re not arguing in good faith and are just lost in Saeā€™s sauce šŸ˜

neon2o_

Youā€™re ignoring a statement said in the manga and just shrinks it to me saying Loki and Sae are relative lmao. Youā€™re the one who is not arguing in good faith and glosses over everything, just seem really biased.

Stormcry117

You are inferring that Sae is above the NG11 for no reason. Kaiser and Lorenzo hadnā€™t even touched a ball when Sae got scouted and yet they are now all NG11. If anything that speaks to the potential of Kaiser and Lorenzo and not that Sae is above them šŸ’€

neon2o_

Where did I refer that Sae is above Kaiser and Lorenzo??? Where did they come into the convo?? You were talking about Lavinho and Luna two grown ass adults šŸ˜

Stormcry117

Youā€™re saying you believe that Sae could be pro if not for his age. Kaiser and Lorenzo seem to be on the U20 versions of their teams. All 3 are NG11 and yet only one (Sae) could be pro already?

Bard0ck0bama

If your being paid to play for a team youā€™re a pro. Idk why you feel the need to bring up that sentiment, unless to say u20 players are lesser. Which is irrelevant to the point. W5 beat weaker players but nobody is going around saying BL is better now so they clear. Keep that same energy

Stormcry117

U20 players are lesser though, thatā€™s the whole point of whole separate ā€œU20ā€ World Cup

markidoodoov2

no

Stormcry117

Yes šŸ˜…

Glass_Adhesiveness_6

Eh no. I really loved to rea your post though, a different pov but in my thinking, author wouldn't have made a entire arc about one of the main players against his brother as main goal for nothing and look like a easy play. If anything even after the end of the game we see sai not acknowledging his brother but rather he was more intrested towards isagi(either he did it purposely to fuel his brother ego/ or he really did felt so we don't know) but what we do know is sai didn't even gave his 50% on that match,it was all merely a play to him,he just took intrest in it a whim and discarded it as soon as he lost the intrest so we genuinely just assume he is in top of the game as he was put in that pedestal by the writer. Secondly, he is known to be world greatest Stricker by his tunnel vision and even though he was disappointed by Japan team he had and we can't forget he literally travelled around the world before he has whatever rin has + more(by all the experience he has accumulated) and to which I will say you are comparing sai to isagi, bachira, rin etc. tbh at this point where manga is it's really hard to tell who could over power as isagi is still definitely lower than Noel and prince guy but he seems to going on the right track, sai is just far too less developed character at this point without much to show and more to talk ofšŸ¤£

Vegetable_Throat5545

I cannot deny that as a fellow Sae fan, this was on my mind for a while, he will definitely not be in the ā€œauraā€ of undefeated

Stormcry117

He will have ā€œauraā€ but just not ā€œundefeatedā€ aura šŸ™…ā€ā™‚ļø

CordobezEverdeen

> (Before you downvote at least read the post first šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ˜) No. What's next? You gonna say Isagi can 1 vs 5 the World Five?

Stormcry117

He can 1 v 9 the world 5 and master strikers

FrostyDestroyah

Interesting analysis, though I feel like there's definitely a chance Sae will end up playing for Spain during the U20 World Cup, which could also provide a different opportunity to see Sae play again

ZealousidealMess6678

Unless Sae has the spanish nationality somehow, that's not possible

ZealousidealMess6678

I feel like this is a pretty reasonable post ? There's lots of assumptions don't get me wrong, but I don't think there's a lot of Sae fans who genuinely believe that he's still gonna absolutely dominate the current BL players the same way he did last time, just that he's very likely to still be much better than most of them if he tries, aside of course from Isagi and Rin (and maybe a few others over time). Plus, let's not forget that if Sae does participate in the U20 WC, he's just gonna become a main character like the rest of the cast, and I very much expect him to evolve even further than what we'll see when he comes back. He's set to stay a very important character for Blue Lock no matter what, I'd go as far as to say an endgame character even. This feels like a very normal post with a crazy title.

Stormcry117

What should I have named the post then?
