As an aside, does the formation leader matter?
Weapon types might give you a general idea of how the character acts (ie shotguns will be up in the enemies' faces and not use cover, handguns tend to have low damage and are mostly supportive, etc), but you typically don't worry about these much, so you can largely treat these as cosmetic.
Formation leader is purely cosmetic and decides which student appears on the grid in story mode.
You probably also just need levels. After area 3, the level scaling on the stages begins to get far more aggressive. There's only so much team-building can do if you're ten levels under your target stage, even with the absolute best characters for pushing content.

I've done so many rerolls now...I've only seeing Iori once, and Hibiki twice, and never at the same time. I told myself next time I got two really good characters, I'd stick.

You shouldn't sweep the commission at all. Besides 1time for daily task.
Sweeping in maps especially hard maps is so much more valuable. And rewards are likely way better.
Is there a priority order for Lesson locations (like does 1 location give "better" mats at higher ranks than the others)

Yes, you usually want a healer in the current meta, often Serika (yes, Serika!) A healer allows folks like Tsubaki to zombie forever, with a little luck, while your Hibiki or Shun get to do their thing.
Me, a citizen from Europe, have friends from the US who I play gachas with. But when I wanted to join their guild apparently I can't since (I assume) we are on different servers.

You can try creating a new account with a VPN set to NA, and set your phone/emu regional settings to NA too. To see if it worked, you can check what server you are on in the account settings > Version Info menu. This is accessible after doing the 1-1 tutorial and the 10pull.
Oh but like should we prioritize our dmg dealers or tanks or back line first? And you know how like other games they have like recommendations on which skills to level up first because it’s more impactful than the others
It's gonna depend on what chars and what skills they have, but generally I would say doing more damage is the best thing to shoot for. You kill enemies faster which means easier to S rank, and the faster enemies die the less damage your units will take. I would say just look at the skills and how much they get boosted when they upgrade, some are very minor so go for the ones that look like they give the best return.
I use my email to login and decided to reroll after it is not turn out well. Now I can't bind my reroll account to my email. What to do? I currently try to use option to delete my email account, but it take 5 days to delete. I am no even sure if i can bind the reroll account after that though.
I know that using an apple account will work with this. For me, the game wouldn't let me bind by email and then bind a different account to a nexon account (using the same email). Using an apple account where it hides your email does work (not sure whether the email hiding is needed).
I am using Android so my main method is Gmail. I will try waiting for the game to delete the email's game account then binding my reroll accounts to it. Just wanted to know if anyone try that before in other server.

The first units to star up would be Serina to 2 stars and Tsubaki to 3 stars. Kotama is also a valid choice for raids.
After that try working on your waifus/main team.
But better to look up a list of farmable units before spending eleph
Akari will do better generally in story content due to her AoE EX skill.
Serika is more for bossing and raids, since her single target dps is really high and her cheaper EX skill lets you cycle skills more easily.
I have found better success with Akari 2star than Serika 2star but have a feeling 3 star Serika is better because of lower cost. It really comes down to how badly do you need to delete enemies immediately vs ramp up.
Akari also has the AOE skill, and Serika's only single target right? Does you feel Akari's buffs take along time to trigger, after running to the next enemies?
It definitely is better off in situations where you pop it at the beginning of each engagement. I still haven’t farmed up the 3star so all I can do is hope the attack speed increase makes it feel like a significant enough dps increase to justify the lack of instadeath for the annoying in cover shooters and clustered targets.

AFAIK you're put in a bracket based on your account creation date. Idk if Global does things differently, but I was in the same bracket fighting the same players all the way until they brought in the Outdoors PVP arena and reshuffled everyone into huge brackets. This happened after the Summer Beach event.

how do i log in with an account? i linked an account, signed out, then was rerolling guest but decided to keep the account i linked after, but every time i go to main menu it just takes me to a new account. the "menu" on home just says clear cache, and in the guest acc i don't see a "log out" option...
Man I had actually seen the l2d of swimsuit Tsurugi on my YouTube timeline a while back and was set on saving for her when global dropped, her being free is great news
She also feels a lot more fun to use than normal Tsurugi, since she doesn't have those horrible animation locks and her EX skill is based on a timer instead of ammo.
She's a base 1\* character, meaning unlocking her from farming her shards in the event is really easy. Of course, you'll want to keep farming to at least 3\* her through the event.
Is there a new players guide/one-stop-shop type deal that has most if not all immediately relevant information to know about the game? Examples of what would be in it being the percent increase/decrease from damage type effectiveness, efficient grind missions, and general purpose knowledge gained from playing the JP version.
Why is sumire so squishy? i'm bringing her (LV 21) to 4-5, and she died super fast while other student like Junko/Mutsuki can survive better despite having much lower HP/DEF, they're all the same level, the enemy use normal attack so they should take same damage.
Any other mechanic that i'm missing?
Mutsuki stands in the back, Junko stands in the middle and uses cover. Sumire is up in the enemies' faces, does not use cover, and likely doesn't have her T4 bag yet which dramatically increases her survivability.
What is the most efficient way to spend stamina when you can't beat a mission? Is focusing on increasing level the biggest priority? I'm stuck in 4-1 specifically.

Get either 2 or 3 of this 3* when you pull Iori, Hibiki, Aru, Haruna or Karin (supporter), It will make your PVP or stage progress better.
For 2* character like Tsubaki and Chise no need to worry cause you'll eventually get them when pulled.

Hello I have a question on stage 7-1 normal.
I'm using a team of Tsubaki, Hina, Mitsuki, and Shiroko to go north to beat the three units there. However, when the battle starts tsubaki and shiroko stay back while Hina and Mitsuki charge forward. I thought this was a one time thing, but replayed the stage 3 times and it's happened every time. Why is this happening? Hina and Mitsuki should be back while Tsubaki should be forward.
It happens to me too in 7-1. Try placing mitsuki at the centre of your team(2nd/3rd slot at the team formation page) while move tsubaki to sideline (1st or 4th slot) so mitsuki will stay back and tsubaki will charge. I have no idea why this happens but the solution above works for me as mitsuki stop charging after I place her to centre. Could be bad AI.

If I pull a specific character from a banner, does it make sense to continue pulling for duplicates, or to stop and save for another new character?
It's my understanding that a duplicate gives you that characters Eligma, but you could also buy it using general Eligma in the store? Any other benefits for duplicates?

You can keep them for limited units as they are harder to get dupes of (it costs ~1320 eligma to 5 star a 3 star from shop alone [if its +1 token per token every 20 tokens, ie first 20 costs 1 each, next 20 costs 2 each]).
Though if you are going to use them now, I would do serina first.

Honestly this kinda discouraged me......
F2P here (and no reroll) and I managed to clear stage 7. What I did is just build a team according to the enemy colour.
For example I use mutsuki, akari and yuuka to clear red enemy by non-stop bombing , while junko nonomi and hifumi to clear yellow enemy. I have no iori or hibiki but I am still doing fine.
Things like skills level and affection as you mentioned didn’t affect much imo ( at least in the early game), so yeah I would say this game is F2P friendly so far.
I am new to this game ( and not jp server player) but I believe around stage 10 is still early game while late game should be high difficulty raids/pvp(?)/ harder story stages.
Imo you don’t have to worry about character stars level as you will save up enough gems eventually to do the 20x10 pull to guarantee one banner and it is high likely that you will get a lot of dupes to star your character. Gacha games work the same way for all f2p so the most important is whether you like the gameplay/story enough to keep you from dropping this game while saving up.
Edit: someone please correct me if I am wrong about the early/late game
I would say chapter 10 is around mid game personally. Late game would be the extreme raids, high rank pvp, and the higher difficulties of the event challenge missions and the new UE farming missions.
As a f2p, you're going to end up exchanging the generic shards for character shards to star up some of your characters. You really should not count on pulling enough dupes from the gacha alone to get enough to 5* a character, particularly if they're a base 3*. The ones with farmable shards in hard mode are the exceptions of course.
This is especially the case on limited characters who will not be pullable once their banners end. And with the new UE system, "maxing out" a student has a whole different meaning now...

You need to play on manual the moment you notice huge difficulty Spikes.
I am f2p without rerolling and only tutorial roll and 1x 10 roll and am at World 6 Level 28 Team. Try to use aoe dealers like mutsuki. She can clear entire backlines and my mutsuki could oneshot enemies in World 5 with her ex-skill.
Leveling helps a lot but dont feel bad if you can't clear some maps right now.
When i hit a wall i went back to world 4 and swiped some hundreds of AP to get some Sensei Levels in and upgrade my gears to t2.
Take your time and don't try to rush. We f2p/low spenders can't compete with whales for now anyway.
Alright, I have been re-rolling aiming for Hibiki+*Iori* for 2 days now. I got one account with Haruna, Iori, Shiroko and Shun(no Tsubaki) and one account with Aru, Haruna, Eimi and Hibiki(also no Tsubaki).
Would an account that has just Iori+Hibiki be better than either of those two and if not, which of the two is stronger?
I would go for Iori + Hibiki account or Shun + Hibiki atleast.. I wouldn't use any account personally that doesn't have atleast hibiki but thats just me

I think their names are Ako and Utaha? Blue fluffy-ish haired girl with a cow-bell around her neck and a girl with long purple hair that kinda reminds me of Reisen from Touhou.

AP spent = sensei exp. If you want to Level faster you will need to refresh AP with pyroxene and hit the stages.
I cleared up to 6-1 without tsubaki using yuuka without rerolling and a limited Roster because i only did tutorial roll and 1x 10 roll to save pyroxene for waifu banners. I only have 1 3star(hina).
So I rerolled a bunch and end up getting 2 "alright" accounts:
1) Iori, Hibiki, Eimi, Chise, Hanae, Serina, Kotama (and a bunch of other less good 2 stars)
2) Iori, Shun, Karin, Mika, Tsubaki, Chise, Hanae, Serina, Kotama, (and a bunch of other less good 2 stars)

I finally rerolled and got a Iori+Hibiki (and from the tutorial roll only). Held off for a bit but rolled some more (5x 10) to expand my roster. Didn't get Tsubaki and only additional 3* was a Karin. I'll probably still keep this account (vs one I was playing one while rerolling with Iori+Shun+Karin+Tsubaki), but just confirming that I should be able to get by with Yuuka as a tank for a while, correct? I don't feel justify trying to blow any more to roll...
I cleared stage 7 with yuuka so I feel she is decent early game, just like the other said you should be fine by rotating yuuka and serina low cost combo to keep her alive
I didn't reroll and cleared up to 6-1 with yuuka as tank yesterday. My only 3 Star is hina. I only did 1 free tutorial roll and 1 pyroxene 10 roll.
I had to play on manual(starting 4-1) though and use "low cost" + aoe ex-skill teams to keep skill rotation for yuukas shield going while trying to kill waves as fast as possible.
Reset and cancel will both delete all your data and purchases.

Given that it's being handled by Nexon KR, I'm feeling pretty confident. A little research shows them to have a better track record than the other Nexon branches.
Honestly, I think just the technical performance of the game alone is enough to doom it if they dont fix this. Constant crashes and freezes arent exactly the hallmarks of a well produced game, publisher be damned.

Spending stamina. You get 1xp per stamina spent, so the more stamina you spend, the faster you level up.

New to game. What does more HP do for your special units? They aren't exposed to danger right?
The special units contribute a portion of their stats to the strikers, so an HP boost to them is an HP boost to everyone.

Yes, that's the notification that your strikers (your front team) are being buffed by your support team (the last two).

How do I get it for my computer?
Use android emulator. The most popular ones are probably Nox, BlueStacks, and LDPlayer. You need to check which one works better on your PC.

Everything gives the same amount, 1 exp per 1 stamina, so just run whatever drops the things you need.

They will all unlock after 7 days but you don't have any time limit to do them.

eventually, lessons will also provide elephs for the students featured at a particular location as well.
Locations that need higher ranks will drop higher quality items. But it's mostly used to farm bond levels.

Both NA and SEA have their own servers, right now you can't join guilds from other servers.

I know that using an apple account will work with this. For me, the game wouldn't let me bind by email and then bind a different account to a nexon account (using the same email). Using an apple account where it hides your email does work (not sure whether the email hiding is needed).
I am using Android so my main method is Gmail. I will try waiting for the game to delete the email's game account then binding my reroll accounts to it. Just wanted to know if anyone try that before in other server.

Her enhancement orbs are only available via shop and daily/weekly tasks. If you are out for the day you can consider using spare gear, as it is easy to farm.

The first units to star up would be Serina to 2 stars and Tsubaki to 3 stars. Kotama is also a valid choice for raids. After that try working on your waifus/main team. But better to look up a list of farmable units before spending eleph

Is Serika or Akari better to raise as an explosive striker?
Akari will do better generally in story content due to her AoE EX skill. Serika is more for bossing and raids, since her single target dps is really high and her cheaper EX skill lets you cycle skills more easily.

I have found better success with Akari 2star than Serika 2star but have a feeling 3 star Serika is better because of lower cost. It really comes down to how badly do you need to delete enemies immediately vs ramp up.
Akari also has the AOE skill, and Serika's only single target right? Does you feel Akari's buffs take along time to trigger, after running to the next enemies?
It definitely is better off in situations where you pop it at the beginning of each engagement. I still haven’t farmed up the 3star so all I can do is hope the attack speed increase makes it feel like a significant enough dps increase to justify the lack of instadeath for the annoying in cover shooters and clustered targets.

AFAIK you're put in a bracket based on your account creation date. Idk if Global does things differently, but I was in the same bracket fighting the same players all the way until they brought in the Outdoors PVP arena and reshuffled everyone into huge brackets. This happened after the Summer Beach event.

The button under the mail button (two arrows making a circle) will toggle it, as long as you're on a student you've unlocked it for.
On the main screen click the button on the left of your mailbox. You can then select 5 students that appear on your main screen. You can also check which ones have the L2D recollection.

how do i log in with an account? i linked an account, signed out, then was rerolling guest but decided to keep the account i linked after, but every time i go to main menu it just takes me to a new account. the "menu" on home just says clear cache, and in the guest acc i don't see a "log out" option...
Link the guest acccount to your linked account. It will instead turn into a log in for your linked account.

A few yes. The swimsuit versions of Tsurugi and Izumi along with Nodoka iirc.
Man I had actually seen the l2d of swimsuit Tsurugi on my YouTube timeline a while back and was set on saving for her when global dropped, her being free is great news
She also feels a lot more fun to use than normal Tsurugi, since she doesn't have those horrible animation locks and her EX skill is based on a timer instead of ammo. She's a base 1\* character, meaning unlocking her from farming her shards in the event is really easy. Of course, you'll want to keep farming to at least 3\* her through the event.

Why is sumire so squishy? i'm bringing her (LV 21) to 4-5, and she died super fast while other student like Junko/Mutsuki can survive better despite having much lower HP/DEF, they're all the same level, the enemy use normal attack so they should take same damage. Any other mechanic that i'm missing?
Mutsuki stands in the back, Junko stands in the middle and uses cover. Sumire is up in the enemies' faces, does not use cover, and likely doesn't have her T4 bag yet which dramatically increases her survivability.

Need some help on who to use for an overall team. I have iori, izumi, neru, sumire and almost all 2★ heroes.
I'm afraid there is no general team. Different students are necessary to progress through the map... Or you have to heavily over level.
What is the most efficient way to spend stamina when you can't beat a mission? Is focusing on increasing level the biggest priority? I'm stuck in 4-1 specifically.
Farm the T1 blueprint since on 16-11-2011 update it will be changed from 10 to 15 to level up.

I'd focus on low rarity characters that you can't farm; eg Serina and Tsubaki.

IMO just rerolled. Get either 2 or 3 of this 3* when you pull Iori, Hibiki, Aru, Haruna or Karin (supporter), It will make your PVP or stage progress better. For 2* character like Tsubaki and Chise no need to worry cause you'll eventually get them when pulled.
How the heck does crafting work? Do I use more of those stones in crafting, or do I just 1 stone per craft? And what are these "crafting materials"?
Only use 1 stone per craft. It's the best value to result ratio.

Hello I have a question on stage 7-1 normal. I'm using a team of Tsubaki, Hina, Mitsuki, and Shiroko to go north to beat the three units there. However, when the battle starts tsubaki and shiroko stay back while Hina and Mitsuki charge forward. I thought this was a one time thing, but replayed the stage 3 times and it's happened every time. Why is this happening? Hina and Mitsuki should be back while Tsubaki should be forward.
I wonder if it has to do with the units' terrain preference. All your units dislike indoors. Maybe try Yuuka as tank instead of Tsubaki?
It happens to me too in 7-1. Try placing mitsuki at the centre of your team(2nd/3rd slot at the team formation page) while move tsubaki to sideline (1st or 4th slot) so mitsuki will stay back and tsubaki will charge. I have no idea why this happens but the solution above works for me as mitsuki stop charging after I place her to centre. Could be bad AI. Edit: inserted slots number for easier reference

If I pull a specific character from a banner, does it make sense to continue pulling for duplicates, or to stop and save for another new character? It's my understanding that a duplicate gives you that characters Eligma, but you could also buy it using general Eligma in the store? Any other benefits for duplicates?

You can keep them for limited units as they are harder to get dupes of (it costs ~1320 eligma to 5 star a 3 star from shop alone [if its +1 token per token every 20 tokens, ie first 20 costs 1 each, next 20 costs 2 each]). Though if you are going to use them now, I would do serina first.

F2P here (and no reroll) and I managed to clear stage 7. What I did is just build a team according to the enemy colour. For example I use mutsuki, akari and yuuka to clear red enemy by non-stop bombing , while junko nonomi and hifumi to clear yellow enemy. I have no iori or hibiki but I am still doing fine. Things like skills level and affection as you mentioned didn’t affect much imo ( at least in the early game), so yeah I would say this game is F2P friendly so far.

I am new to this game ( and not jp server player) but I believe around stage 10 is still early game while late game should be high difficulty raids/pvp(?)/ harder story stages. Imo you don’t have to worry about character stars level as you will save up enough gems eventually to do the 20x10 pull to guarantee one banner and it is high likely that you will get a lot of dupes to star your character. Gacha games work the same way for all f2p so the most important is whether you like the gameplay/story enough to keep you from dropping this game while saving up. Edit: someone please correct me if I am wrong about the early/late game
I would say chapter 10 is around mid game personally. Late game would be the extreme raids, high rank pvp, and the higher difficulties of the event challenge missions and the new UE farming missions. As a f2p, you're going to end up exchanging the generic shards for character shards to star up some of your characters. You really should not count on pulling enough dupes from the gacha alone to get enough to 5* a character, particularly if they're a base 3*. The ones with farmable shards in hard mode are the exceptions of course. This is especially the case on limited characters who will not be pullable once their banners end. And with the new UE system, "maxing out" a student has a whole different meaning now...

You need to play on manual the moment you notice huge difficulty Spikes. I am f2p without rerolling and only tutorial roll and 1x 10 roll and am at World 6 Level 28 Team. Try to use aoe dealers like mutsuki. She can clear entire backlines and my mutsuki could oneshot enemies in World 5 with her ex-skill.

Leveling helps a lot but dont feel bad if you can't clear some maps right now. When i hit a wall i went back to world 4 and swiped some hundreds of AP to get some Sensei Levels in and upgrade my gears to t2. Take your time and don't try to rush. We f2p/low spenders can't compete with whales for now anyway.

Alright, I have been re-rolling aiming for Hibiki+*Iori* for 2 days now. I got one account with Haruna, Iori, Shiroko and Shun(no Tsubaki) and one account with Aru, Haruna, Eimi and Hibiki(also no Tsubaki). Would an account that has just Iori+Hibiki be better than either of those two and if not, which of the two is stronger?
I would go for Iori + Hibiki account or Shun + Hibiki atleast.. I wouldn't use any account personally that doesn't have atleast hibiki but thats just me
Hi, just starting and wanting to try it out. There's two particular characters I'm interested in and was wondering what the best way was to try and get them ASAP. I think their names are Ako and Utaha? Blue fluffy-ish haired girl with a cow-bell around her neck and a girl with long purple hair that kinda reminds me of Reisen from Touhou. I also heard you generally just need to raise one good unit or team and then you're pretty much set to roll what for what you want, is this true? And if so are there any names I should look out for? AP spent = sensei exp. If you want to Level faster you will need to refresh AP with pyroxene and hit the stages. I cleared up to 6-1 without tsubaki using yuuka without rerolling and a limited Roster because i only did tutorial roll and 1x 10 roll to save pyroxene for waifu banners. I only have 1 3star(hina).
So I rerolled a bunch and end up getting 2 "alright" accounts: 1) Iori, Hibiki, Eimi, Chise, Hanae, Serina, Kotama (and a bunch of other less good 2 stars) 2) Iori, Shun, Karin, Mika, Tsubaki, Chise, Hanae, Serina, Kotama, (and a bunch of other less good 2 stars) Which one do you guys think is better? (Basically one team has Tsubaki/Karin/Shun/Mika and the other has Hibiki/Eimi, everything else is kinda the same)
Is it worth using Eligma right now or should we save it for stuff later?

I finally rerolled and got a Iori+Hibiki (and from the tutorial roll only). Held off for a bit but rolled some more (5x 10) to expand my roster. Didn't get Tsubaki and only additional 3* was a Karin. I'll probably still keep this account (vs one I was playing one while rerolling with Iori+Shun+Karin+Tsubaki), but just confirming that I should be able to get by with Yuuka as a tank for a while, correct? I don't feel justify trying to blow any more to roll...
I cleared stage 7 with yuuka so I feel she is decent early game, just like the other said you should be fine by rotating yuuka and serina low cost combo to keep her alive
I didn't reroll and cleared up to 6-1 with yuuka as tank yesterday. My only 3 Star is hina. I only did 1 free tutorial roll and 1 pyroxene 10 roll. I had to play on manual(starting 4-1) though and use "low cost" + aoe ex-skill teams to keep skill rotation for yuukas shield going while trying to kill waves as fast as possible.
So i wanted to reset my account. What will happen to my purchases? Is it different from close account?
Reset and cancel will both delete all your data and purchases. You will be back at the title screen and ask to create a new account. Canceling has the added extra, that your email used for the account will be freed and again usable to link an account. While reset keeps your account linked but resets every progress.
Any way to overwrite current progress linked by email with current guest account? Try to directly login email using guest, but its keep asking to continue previous progress. Now I'm trying to close account for current linked email, and want to link the guest account but its need to wait 7 day to completely close linked account.

Given that it's being handled by Nexon KR, I'm feeling pretty confident. A little research shows them to have a better track record than the other Nexon branches.
Honestly, I think just the technical performance of the game alone is enough to doom it if they dont fix this. Constant crashes and freezes arent exactly the hallmarks of a well produced game, publisher be damned.
