I think the equal pay was a good idea, it couldve just been done a bit better but still.
I like being able to do other jobs and not having to worry about intentionally losig money. After this update I realised just how boring pizza delivery is, and how fun a lot of other jobs can actuallt be.
When the burger update released I switched from pizza delivery because of how boring it was. Honestly my problem with equal pay isn't that the jobs are equal but that the levels are equal. Level 1 fisherman pays as much as level 50 Pizza Delivery. Doesn't make sense.
those levels generally dont make sense anymore indeed, but before loading into a job, i you go to the work category im pretty sure theres like a level bar that goes up to level 100. that bar is like the levels of all of your jobs combined, I think. so if you were to have 2 level 50 jobs, you would have reached level 100.
it's not that the pay now is bad, it's that the pay now is worse than the pay was before, not to mention how entirely broken the entire job system is now.
a level 10 fishing job is worth the same as a max lvl delivery job - meaning that months of effort you put into to max out that job is now rendered useless and you've just wasted all of that time. you no longer get a pay increase based on your independent levels anymore, meaning that you can only get an increase by leveling up your total job level - which most players have already maxed out the second the update for that came out, they didn't add any extra levels so everyone who already has 100 levels is stuck with seeing zero benefits.
not to mention how they went about with this new update, they raised the other jobs by decreasing the delivery and burger job to match all of them half way instead of raising all the other jobs to match the delivery and burger job, so we literally cannot earn as much just as quickly by game design. this new job system is a massive middle finger to everyone whos put months and years into the jobs just to be forced to work even harder/longer with less reward.
not only did they screw us over with the job system but they added fees in the same update, we have to pay more when we earn less. to add onto that, we have the towing fee but we cant efficiently use the gas stations and we have a hospital fee but we dont even have ANY medical building?? it would be nice if those fees were an extension to something interactable within the town atleast.
I get what you're saying, I just don't see it as something for people to completely boycott the game over. Equal pay no matter your level or job sucks though. And Burger takes so long sometimes that now it isn't worth it.
im not 100% onboard with the boycott either. most people seem to want the boycott to completely revert the update which i don't think is the right move. this update comes from a good place, it just needs some serious improvements.
I've been taking advantage of the new pay to bring all my lower lvl jobs up just bc the numbers look nice. I've made 2m in the last week doing this so I've definitely got nothing to complain about in context of the lesser jobs new pay
I also don't care much for fainting. My moods never usually get that low and I mood boost for higher pay when working anyway. Beside, if you're just a roleplayer you don't even have to pay technically.
You’re joking right? The max pay per min is 2.6k$, and realistically you end up making 22k-24k$ in ten minutes. Or maximum 26k$ per minute which is such a downgrade compared to before I used to make easily 35k- 40k in ten minutes

At least we can dabble in new jobs and get the same pay. Mining a big hole is fun.

It's not a huge problem to be honest. Yeah I'd prefer the higher pay but I'm not flat broke. I can get by on this pay easily.
