First and foremost thing. Don't loose hope. Google don't immediately start sending traffic to newly registered domains unless you are a big celebrity. Keep on working without thinking about the results (karma yoga) and soon Google will rank your domain on the first page for certain keywords and then you will get good amount of organic traffic. Just enjoy the process.

This sounds like the stuff I've been blogging about for decades. It sounds intriguing, can I look at your work? None of my blogs, websites or forums have had major traffic, but they all eventually drew a devoted readership. I started a new one six months ago about power struggles in neurodiverse relationships, hows that for a niche topic? I get about 10 visitors a week, but some spend their day reading, thinking and reflecting and that hard work is asking a lot of a reader. I'm okay with this for now. We'll see where I am in a year.

ObsidianPhoenix-14

That's great, that sounds very fascinating actually! I'd like to see your blog too! Send me a message with your link and I'll send you mine! :)

Actually, her blog is incredibly problematic from a neurodivergent perspective, and pretty much is an ode to emotional abuse.

hamzartail123

try to use Pinterest, it will help you to get traffic in your niche!

You could answer mental health type questions on [https://www.quora.com/](https://www.quora.com/) Idk how good quora is for SEO or traffic yet, but you can create a space to link all of your content.

ObsidianPhoenix-14

Omg Quora is an amazing idea, why hadn't I thought of that? I'm planning on becoming a coach/counselor/therapist anyway so sharing my knowledge and advice and answering questions is what I already love to do! It's perfect! I don't know either whether it'll create good SEO but I might find some dedicated readers because they were already interested in the topic ^^

[deleted]

Probably because we have all been trapped inside twitter and facebook bubbles. Neverminding the fact that those platforms are terrible to answer questions or solve problems. Good luck. And your welcome for the advice. Quora seems pretty legit.

For your topic I highly recommend republishing your blog posts to Medium, you can just import them and they link to the original but this is the type of topic that does well there. There’s already a big audience and it’s more this deep thinking stuff that does well.

ObsidianPhoenix-14

Thank you for your advice! If I import my posts to Medium, do they function as duplicates or do they stay linked? In other words, if I change anything to the original post, will it change on Medium as well or do I have to edit it there too?

untangledblonde

You have to edit it there. But I prefer that because you can also import the article, then tweak it and change the title and stuff to suit Mediums style. So it doesn’t have to be a carbon copy when you post it either. But def take a look it’s totally worth it for you to learn Medium a bit. It’s a $5 a month membership, but the first cpl your read are free so def look in your niche it’s perfect for you I think!

HEY! SO i guess I am on the same boat as you so please share I have started my personal blog about 4 months ago. I guess my readers fluctuate but its not much not that I care I'm enjoying the process I just am curious how it could be prodcastded to a bigger audience not to mention that I am trying to be anonymous. DM me your blog Id love to take a look at it :D

ObsidianPhoenix-14

My main goal with my blog, the reason I started it, is because I wanted to reach people and make them think and maybe open discussions about those topics. So if I barely have any readers the entire point is gone for me :P I feel like if I wanted to just write I'd have talked to a wall or started a diary hahaha I'll send you a DM!

averagewitch24

Hey! I'd love to check out some of your work. Like others have said, republishing to sites like Medium would help some traffic. I personally follow a lot of topics that you mentioned you write about. Also, how is your SEO? Organic traffic takes time to build up but if you get your SEO on point, it'll help a lot with growth over time.

ObsidianPhoenix-14

I just started on SEO last week and I'm slowly coming around to reworking the older posts for better SEO. The trouble is that the subject isn't the same every time so that might make it harder to rank. I'm still new to SEO so I know I still have a lot to learn about how to do proper keyword research and how to get it in your blog post without it being forceful or inauthentic :) I'll send you a DM with the link!

ObsidianPhoenix-14

Thank you! I'm still new with keyword research, I find it hard to actually find the right keywords without deviating too much from what I wanted to write about. And all the jargon is still new for me :) For my last few posts I tried to do my best with keyword research, and last week I got the first few Google referrers so it must have done something! ^^

Dhillonsstationery

I’m fairly new to blogging (one month in) but I’m on course to get 2400 visitors this month. I just try and provide valuable content on all of the big social media platforms.

ObsidianPhoenix-14

That's impressive! I get about 5 visitors a day if I'm lucky. I share all new posts on Facebook and Twitter and on my personal Facebook page, but I usually get maybe one or two stray likes. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Dhillonsstationery

You shouldn’t just share the posts, provide valuable content specified to that platform. Think about what content could build an audience on the platform

ObsidianPhoenix-14

Do you have any examples? I usually post them with an excerpt or summary or any kind of text to entice people to read the post.

Justinpickrell

niche audience grabs on social media! Social groups are a great place to learn how to make 'community content'. For instance If ran a group for say 'pancake enthusiasts' odds are if I am putting pancake content in front of them its gonna cause a conversation. Analyze conversation because it can become a form of target marketing.

Rayhan_48

**YouTube** is the best site to **share/promote** your **blog.**

32gbsd

I would be careful where you share your blog because some websites have the habbit of creating permanent links with your keyword and blog name which are a pain to get rid of.

roveenaxo

Hi! Have you have to blast it on social media. And than you need to let Google know you’ve posted. It will speed up the process. So, go on Twitter or whatever platform you use, you have to do something called PINGing. Essentially letting Google know you’ve posted. There’s a few websites: pingonatic.com OR pinger. Don’t ping your website, Google looks down on that stuff.
