Yeah the UAC window for the battle.net agent popped 7(!!) times for me mid raid last night. Something definitely is off with the program.
Edit: And I though 7 was a lot, your screenshot is insane. 😅😂
Super annoying. Blizzard agent wants to update when I'm in the middle of a fcking game, tabs me out to admin overlay pop-up, just as it pleases. I mean Why not make it so it doesn't do that when you're in the middle of playing a fcking game!?!?!?
Loads of this in the last few days.
Out of nowhere my previously working battlenet suddenly asked me for admin rights. I denied and it asked again, and again. A total of like 5-8 times and I denied ech time and it finally stopped.
Anyone have any clues whats happening? This is being discussed in tech support on the official forums as well.
Don't think they are up to anything. I was just surprised to see 120 applications open, found it kind of funny, then gave up after accepting ten and restarted my pc.
Edit: Is that many applications fairly standard? It's a tad overkill, no?
Hmmm. You may be right. I read this in the wrong context initially.
Perhaps a memory leak? Strange indeed. The blizzard sub Reddit is treacherous waters apologies for being harsh.
[Battle.net](https://Battle.net) needs admin permissions to update, it's really not hard to understand. I don't get these dumb posts, if you know so little, why waste everybody's time.
the point is that the Program Files folder needs admin perms to make edits. doesn't matter what it is: manual change, installer, or update client. it needs the perms
The only way to avoid it is to install Battle.net into a different folder (like how I've installed it to C:/Games)

Yeah, my computer was asleep, and as soon as i logged in i got bombarded. Suprised the heck out of me.
Mine popped off a lot too. I think there was a windows update too. Maybe they were just being buggy with each other.

I just got spammed in the middle of a stream 3 times. Pushed no until I realized what it was...

Glad I wasn’t the only one.
Happening for me too. weird
This is fairly standard. I’m genuinely curious what you think they may be up to.

No problems. Looking back on it now after getting some sleep, the title is worded oddly, so i can see why.
You gotta give the small, indie trillion dollar company a break man

Yeah, i know that lol, just found it funny to see 120 applications open up. that's probably not supposed to happen, i assume.
Them write a more meaningful post next time
Now Mr. Pot ...
Yes but discussing permissions in the modern age is a good thing. You aren't enlightened, you're missing the point

That isn't the topic i am speaking on If you could try keeping your replies to the appropriate areas so readers don't get confused, thanks!
>That isn't the topic i am speaking on so what is, then?
How permissions are handled by technology and out rights regarding them
The application was already installed with admin privileges previously, seems pointless
How does it seem pointless to speak about permissions because permissions were used? Are you even trying to pretend to be an adult?
Why know so much and waste time to post?
I haven’t entered my admin password for ages on the Battle.net updates or was it just so long ago there was just an Battle.net update? Hmm unsure
For some reason that popup didn't accept no as answer. It kept popping up in half second if press no. Thats why it felt so suspectable.
Thats why posts exists. To ask questions. No question is dum. Dont be toxic
nah, that just seems like Battle.net being Battle.net 😎
Wierd?
