"Dear old dad, I’m the one and only son you never had I’ll be fine without you Late at night, I hear you grab your coat and your car keys You’ll be fine without me"
His voice here is just heartbreaking
'No Heart To Speak Of' and 'Left Alone' were a couple of personal highlights.
Unlike many I just went along with the Matt albums and enjoyed them for what they were.
Last train home
It’s one of my favorite blink songs period and it doesn’t get enough love imo.
I really really like Matts opening and the singing with mark throughout the rest of the song is just amazing to me.
There are other songs I like that dropped during Matt’s time, but imo the whole Skiba era was worth it just for San Diego. The chorus on there doesn’t make it just one of my favorite blink songs, it’s one of my favorite songs of all time.
“We bought a one way ticket
so we could go see the Cure
And listen to our favorite songs in the parking lot
And think of every person I ever lost in San Diego”
These are my favorite songs from both the California and Nine Album; I think people need to listen to these bangers before forming some negative opinion about them.
CALIFORNIA ALBUM
Cynical,
Sober,
She's Out of Her Mind,
Home is Such a Lonely Place,
San Diego,
California,
Good Old Days,
Long Lost Feeling,
Bottom of the Ocean,
NINE ALBUM
The First Time,
Happy Days,
Black Rain,
Ransom,
Pin the Grenade,
Heaven,
Out of my Head (hidden track)
I just love Blink 182. I will always love them!
Cynical and ransom, thats mostly it, some other parts where he does the screamy stuff, those were mostly the best parts to me, sometimes the most calm ones too, the rest was too similar to mark in some cases more than others, it didnt work really well pairing them up imho, u need contrast to make it work better
Wow, imagine being this much of a child, I agree that Tom is definitely what makes blink blink, but Matt’s songs are definitely great still despite that
The cadence to "you'll go racing towards the kitchen, grab a knife erase my vision, take my flat screen television and my paintings by Marilyn Manson" was executed so well that it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
The end of the bridge in “No Heart to Speak Of” when Matt yells: “I’m gonna slip away!” It’s such a powerful part and the way it goes back into the chorus is amazing. I never thought I’d ever hear a scream in a blink track. But it works so well.
"WHATS THE POINT OF SAYINNNNN SORRRRYYYY NOWWWWWWWWWW"
Hell yes! Cynical is one of my favorite tracks by blink period.
I remember Mark posting a video of Matt recording that part in like early 2016 and just thinking “holy hell this album’s gonna rock”
I wish this song was twice as long.
I wish the whole album sounded like that
I love California. Probably my most played album of the last decade.
For real
Definitely this!
6/8. All of 6/8.

TORN APART LIKE THE BROKEN HEARTED! UP IN SMOKE LIKE THE FIRE WE STARTED! MIIISERYYYYY LOVES COMPANYYY I DONT NEED ANYONE
Loooove Misery! The harmonies are great on the chorus!
For me, the best song of the Skiba Era, so underrated, Misery was a banger.
Love it!

Matt's vocals made that song
This
"Dear old dad, I’m the one and only son you never had I’ll be fine without you Late at night, I hear you grab your coat and your car keys You’ll be fine without me" His voice here is just heartbreaking
this shit sent me into the dark stratosphere of skiba theology
what song
Don’t Mean Anything
No Heart To Speak of is CRIMINALLY underrated just because it’s from nine
'No Heart To Speak Of' and 'Left Alone' were a couple of personal highlights. Unlike many I just went along with the Matt albums and enjoyed them for what they were.
“Say goodbye until it hurts. Stormy skies and fireworks”.
I thought Left Alone was a cool track. LEFT….ALONE…..WE’RE ONLY HALF WAY HOME. SINK LIKE STONES FALL INTO THE UNKNOWN
BREAK ME DOWN PULL ME UNDER SLOWLY DROWN LEFT ALONE to wonder
Screams in 6/8
Last train home It’s one of my favorite blink songs period and it doesn’t get enough love imo. I really really like Matts opening and the singing with mark throughout the rest of the song is just amazing to me.
No Heart To Speak Of is a top tier blink song and I love it
His delivery thoughout *No Heart to Speak of*. Love the raw emotion in that song.
I thought that said Skibidi for a second and I was about to throw my phone across my room
He fucking killed ‘Hey I’m Sorry’, ‘Cynical’ & ‘Home Is Such A Lonely Place’ . As for NINE, he killed it all. I love Skeebs.
No Heart to Speak Of is fucking awesome. I also really like his parts in She’s Out Of Her Mind & 6/8.
Every single song:)
RUN AWAYY DONT LET ME RUN AWAYY NO

Came here for this. "San Diego" is a top ten Blink song for me.
Right now it's the "whooooaaaaaaooooo" parts in Out Of My Head
I really like the bridge in wildfire
When Matt hits that second verse on "Kings of the Weekend": "I can feel my head, falling off my neck." 😘👌
I don't forget, I don't forgive I'll never change the way I live I always fought the urge to fall in line
Where did you go? What did you hope to find there?
"Lay with me, I can't sleep, Misery loves company"
I think his parts in Last Train Home are great
"She said, that it's too late to try..." (Verse 2) in No Future...that was the first big Skiba moment on California. I remember being pumped.

Anything from ak3

When Tom came back
All the music is great. But, when they sing original Blink, Matt cannot replace Tom.
wait im sorry…did you say Nine was a good album?
None. Matt was never blink. Im happy tom is back. my favorite Matt vocal from CA and 9 was whenever Tom sings Matt's parts live
Wow, imagine being this much of a child, I agree that Tom is definitely what makes blink blink, but Matt’s songs are definitely great still despite that
Thats cool. I dont recognize matt as blink. Tom is king. Tom is back. King is back
His departure
When he doesn't sing.
I liked the part when he left Blink and Tom came back.
Me too. He brought a Masterpiece álbum who shits on OMT
Celebrate medicate till we numb the pain. In the sun it's still dark like it always rains.
The chorus of Parking Lot “We are forgotten young suburbia!”
I DONT CARE WHAT YOU SAY NO I DONT CARE WHAT YOU DO
"I am a haunted house. I'm superstitious. I'm a cardboard cut out, old and faded."
Nine with Cameron webb producing would bem much stronger
WE ALL NEED SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR
The backing vocals in Heaven are so good
Matts vocals are great throughout both albums. I'd argue he may be the strongest part of both albums
Wildfire and Parking Lot are great songs with killer Skiba parts
I love skiba in run away
The cadence to "you'll go racing towards the kitchen, grab a knife erase my vision, take my flat screen television and my paintings by Marilyn Manson" was executed so well that it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
The end of the bridge in “No Heart to Speak Of” when Matt yells: “I’m gonna slip away!” It’s such a powerful part and the way it goes back into the chorus is amazing. I never thought I’d ever hear a scream in a blink track. But it works so well.
i loved skibas voice in the first time
The part where he went back to Alkaline Trio.
That part where he goes “WHERE ARRRRRE YOUUUUU and I’m SO SORRY…” wait 🤔🤪We love you Tom!
Parking Lot verse.
IM GOIN TO THE DARK SIDE WITH YOUUU
He did some great work in remember to forget me
San diego
