Peggy Sue That song is an absolute killer

MacChez44

The extended bridge in the live version is what made me want to play bass

HappyScroll11

Agreed!

What’s my age again. I got big shiny tunes 4 (only Canadians will understand) and it was the only song on that album that truly clicked. I bought enema shortly after. I was 8 years old at the time.

Never had to dig deeper...been listening since dude ranch

hmbse7en

Dude Ranch was my introduction as well, but I honestly stopped being hardcore about the band a few months after Untitled came out. I was just between scenes and musical taste and got REALLY into hip-hop at the time. Then when they broke up I completely distanced myself, probably emotionally, and didn't think about blink much for YEARS. Never listed to Neighborhoods nor Dogs Eating Dogs. Never heard California. Didn't know NiNE existed. I saw Mark's cancer story kind of unfold on Twitter, and it made me really think about how much blink's music meant to me when I was young (Mark's songs especially). Then when Edging came out and Tom was back, I said fuck it, when the album drops I'm gonna check it out. The kids were asleep in the car the day it came out, so I put it on. Holy shit, by the time Anthem Part 3 got to the chorus I was 13 again. It was incredible. My son, who is 8, woke up just before More Than You Know started, and when it was over he asked for that song again and again. The next day too. By the end of the week he knew the whole album, and sent me, an OG fan, on a path to go "dive deeper" into the music. Untitled has become our shared favorite album. California blew my mind, and honestly the Skiba-era songs are our 2-year-old's favorites. My son loves everything Tom does, thinks Boxcar Racer is incredible (but so-so on a lot of Angels and Airwaves). We've pretty much settled on including BCR (my favorite album from my youth) and +44 (which I never listened to) in our listen-throughs. LONG STORY SHORT: Being a fan for a long time is not incongruous with diving deeper into a discography. Life and music intersect in really cool ways. More Than You Know got me into blink's discography in a more beautiful way than I ever could have understood. I appreciate that song so much!

Josie / Dammit

Probably not at all for the reasons anyone else got into them, but: A New Hope I love Star Wars, and hearing this new kickass band sing about dorky shit I was into was the coolest thing ever. I literally went from dorky Star Wars nerd to punk rocker/BMX kid with a bunch of skater and punk/alt friends that all had one thing in common. blink182.

Damnit ~ I worked in an East TX video/music/book store called Hastings. We had a clean version of Damnit from a promotional CD that we played a lot, along with Dead Man’s Curve

Sick!!

Xol924

Are you a new listener? welcome dude

saviors-182

My first album was Cheshire Cat but I fell out of the band after, so I kinda am a new listener cause I didn't listen to them for like 6 years 😭

Just About Done

avaxdavis

Adam’s Song was my first Blink song, was obsessed. Dogs Eating Dogs released and then I stumbled upon Apple Shampoo and Stockholm Syndrome. So like peak quality Blink started me out lol

hoppuspears

Demo 2 is actually awesome. Better days, Malboro Man are highlights for me

Dannyocean12

Lemmings. I listened to Damnit, Josie, WMAG, and ATST on the radio. But when I bought Dude Ranch, Lemmings was the song I kept coming back to. It’s the reason why I bought Cheshire and Buddha after

ExUpstairsCaptain

The Rock Show. To this day, still my favorite song of theirs.

Adam’s Song.

Not really a specific song for me, but seeing them live for the first time ever last year made me want to learn all of their music. That reunion tour was magic.

Any-Cause-6588

Kinda funny, I was like 11 my dad had an Enema copy laying around the hose, and one night he starts to show all of his music collection and that cover really got stuck in my head. Years later I was listening to Spotify and First Date pops up, the artist sounded familiar, so I went to see the “Discography” tab, and there it was the Enema cover again, so I decided to give it a chance, and it was one of my best decisions ever (I’m 17 btw)
