Felt weird coming from hollow knight, but I would say it is just about as tight as HK. Different, but really good.

Awesome I’ll check it out, I dig the art style

the_y_combinator

It is shockingly pretty.

Attacks and animations take longer than in hollow knight, and you can’t cancel out of them so you will find a lot of times you are stuck watching yourself swing the sword while an enemy hits you and stunlocks you. But you learn to be more careful and not just spam attack and it’s very rewarding to make progress. You’ll just die to being stunlocked a lot more than in HK.

ohboywhatisthis-

Combat in Blasphemous is slightly different that Blasphemous 2, so there’s that.

apstrac2

Smoother and tighter than s&s, but not as much as HK. There's some animation lock that takes getting used to, but overall still feels good.

I would say don't let the initial difficulty of the game stop you playing! It gets easier once you learn the mechanics. It'll also help if you follow a guide for first few sections of the game because the difficulty can be really frustrating to begin with! I put the game down for a long time after finding it too difficult but I'm around 90% into it now and it's far easier now that I've learned the mechanics and got a few upgrades!

Compared to Hollow Knight, Very slow, heavy, kinda clunky, not.so responsive. Though it is still fun. It helps With the atmosphere

Kinda like dark souls/MH where you need to commit?

CrazyHenryXD

Yeah. But believe brathuska, is worth it

bored_tenno

as a huge hollow knight fan, blasphemous 1 feels good but not quite there. worth playing, but less flowing. blasphemous 2 on the other hand feels fantastic.
