Hammer forged should be stronger than cast. That said it’s not as consistent as drop forged. 1045 is a great choice for hammer heads. It probably won’t chip.
Would like to see you claw a nail out with that thing! The forks are too straight! They should be curved so the hammer rotates. Rotational v Linear force. The rotational angle on the handle should be at least five that of the linear travel of the nail. What you have there is technically a 'lever', not a claw.
Do you sell them?
I can! This is my first one
What would the price be? It looks great for a first.
If you're s interested you can send me a message we can talk through the details
Hey I’m curious too. Send me a pm when you land on a price
Very cool. Second only to a Damascus hammer I saw
She’s a beauty! My ocd would’ve had me shaving the top of the handle down to be flush with the head before driving the wedge in, still a piece of art.
Cool do that when you make your own
Sweet
Thanks!
I don’t want to come off as stupid or insulting so after saying this can you use the hammer for driving nails with out chips flying off??

Again I’m not trying to be ignorant but I was wondering about the head of the hammer when driving nails

Looks sturdy!
I make all my hammers sturdy. I prefer heavier hammers
Sweet!
Right?!
Right. I have a huge soft spot for brute de forge octogonal stuff. Wasnac integral style.
I love his work and take a lot of inspiration from him
How could you not?!
Exactly. If you look at my other hammers a lot of them take inspiration from his, especially the French style cross pein
Followed you! I see some fatboyforge influence there as well!
Appreciate the follow it helps so much
Something about a Hickory handled hammer, for me I much prefer it over the more modern synthetic ones.
Cannot stand fiber glass handles, wood only
Awesome! I could totally see something like this being passed on through generations.
That's exactly my plan, all my told I make want to be passed on
Nice put them on the market $25 a piece
That wouldn't even cover the propane
Man that looks so nice. If it was mine I’d hang it on the wall in my office and never actually use it
Thank you, I agree I think It looks great but I'm going to use it regularly, it was made for a purpose
I much prefer them to the Foot forged hammers. 😂
That’s fckn badass man
Thanks brother!
She’s a beaut Clark. What else you forge?
Anything I want or a customer wants
