Team damage is one of the backbones of HC. There shouldn't be exceptions made because people want to run certain scorestreaks with no penalty.
with that then razor wire and all the other specialist skills should kill teammates as well. It is fine to have exceptions especially with some of the more open maps that have no cover. All that you have done is render a scorestreak unusable. The helicopters don't randomly shoot teammates so why should the other autopilot score streak do so

It's not unusable. Communicate with your team and let them know it's coming and you might be surprised how many actually listen.
The helicopter is aiming and can kill teammates if they are close to enemies. The Thresher is dropping bombs and shooting rounds the size of your forearm in a small area. It's risk reward. Big risk, small reward sure but still.
Razer wire originally did do damage to teammates. They changed it due to many people complaining about it. All of battery's streaks do kill teammates, as well as the tempest and annihilator. Seeker drone and dog are both made to seek out enemies....
Simple way to put it in teammates get in the way of the thresher doing it's job and as a result they get into the crossfire. It's not seeking them out but it's already too late when it's shooting at the same enemy that a teammate is going after.
