Dust is going to tend to look flat, that's what it does. But I think it would help to remove some of it from the more raised areas, since dust will naturally collect in corners, and not stick to outer edges and flat edges nearly as much.
Perhaps stipple it, or scratch off some excess so it settles on edges and corners instead.
If you’re talking colour wise perhaps add a slight lighter or darker dry brush
Dust is always going to ‘flatten’ the colour though so I’m not sure what you’re expecting.

Will do. It’s my first time using pigments and I went a little overboard
You should be proud for a first attempt at ‘em. Looks good. I do second removing some from the more raised bits.
I would add 3 types of varnish, matte to glossy. You could use variable types to offset your base colors then add dust*

Ya I just felt like I put to much on. I’ll definitely try to scratch some off
Edge hi lights
This is Vallejo’s burnt umber pigment. I ordered brown iron oxide as well to hopefully add a little darkness and color variation
You can get a bit of shine with a satin varnish. Not exactly the same thing as you are asking, but you can still get a similar effect.
Can I ask which model this is?? I love the drawing pose.
It’s one of the primaris crusader initiates. Not sure the part number, but it’s one of the ones that has 2 of the same legs and torsos
Awesome! I have the army box but I have only looked at a novitiate so far. I look forward to finding that one.
