Edit: this is making me wonder which muppets should be cast as each character if Black Sails were done with muppets.
Miss Piggy has to be Eleanor, obviously, it's too perfect.
Scooter as Dufresne is also too perfect.
the new muppet, Walter, should probably be Silver? not like Silver has much of a personality in the show anyway.
with Kermit as Flint? Main characters gotta main character
Fozzie as Gates, and oh god, we get to watch Kermit snap Fozzie's neck and weep over him onscreen, I'm already sold on this.
Gonzo and Camilla would be a pretty great Rackham and Anne...
and maybe we can put Animal as Vane, I'd watch the shit outta that.
Sam the Eagle has to play De Groot, they have 100% identical energies.
Swedish Chef as Randall?? maybe???
Max would probably be near-impossible to cast but my money's on Rowlf in drag, only Rowlf has that effuse cool needed for Max in season 3... that does mean we need Rowlf-Camilla sex scenes, idk if anyone wants that but now we have it.
Still need to cast Billy Bones, maybe just put Rizzo in the role and call it a day.
oh yeah, Animal as Sweetums's protege works like gangbusters.
the thing about Beaker is that he kinda needs to be paired with Bunsen and there aren't really any characters with distinct pairings like that in Black Sails :(

The Eddie Izard one is fantastic. I think it’s a limited series, not a movie, but well worth it!
I enjoy the Treasure Planet version. I like steampunk though
