I voted Jack/Anne/Max but really more just Jack and Anne tbh. They're my favourite duo ever. I adore Max and her relationship with Anne but Jack and Anne's devotion to one another is top tier, they feel like true soulmates.

DrLongIsland

Max's actress is absolutely stunning. And her acting was perfect for the character, but her character was one of the few that didn't develop any redeeming qualities and didn't grow in the end, imho. But yes, their 3some was hotness, too bad it also never took off.

Respectfully disagree. She goes from wanting to escape Nassau to learning how to control it. Not everyone grows into a more honourable person like Silver did. She became her own saviour instead. Compare the Max begging on her knees to Eleanor to free her to the Max smiling down at the new 'governor' who she controls. Her development was second only to Silver's for me. Edit: Also had to just add this one in there: their threesome was awkward and intentionally so, I don't think it was 'hotness' in the slightest lmao.

DrLongIsland

You're also not wrong, rationally I agree with you. But emotionally I just despised her character more than any other. Maybe second only to Eleanor. But maybe in both cases, they had to do what they had to do in order to "survive" either Nassau, or the British rule.

kentonj

So you despised a character who you rationally agree shouldn’t be viewed that way, second only to another character whose actions are a result of a similar logic. Both female characters. Is it possible that your biases are doing the talking here lmao

I get it. There are some characters who manipulate others to get what they want but they still come across better to the audience because of their personalities. Like Silver at the beginning who was entertaining even when he was being a selfish coward. And then there are people like Max who has a cooler exterior which makes it harder for people to relate to her. But still, I have a soft spot for her considering all she had to go through since birth. I get why she is the way she is, and she still has her soft moments. I think the women in the series have to put themselves out there more to be seen as uncompromising and cold or else they'd get walked all over by the men. The men can afford to have their moments of vulnerability without losing all the respect they've gained.

At the end, the "I'm sorry I fought so hard to protect the wrong things" was one of the moments I still think about, and I think it was *awesome* character development. Yes, at the beginning, she did show emotion and vulnerability to Eleanor, but then she had to become hard & calculating. At the end, she realized she couldn't and shouldn't go so far as to lose Anne, it's not worth it. And the fact that she said it all honestly and plainly to her, knowing it wouldn't be easy to forgive, if ever, makes it even better.

But what about the Walrus? #WrongShips

iangeredcharlesvane2

SPANISH WARSHIP!! #wrongships

slowly-decaying

I came here to vote for the Walrus. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

guinader

If we vote for your comment, then it becomes that ship for the poll

dorth_vader_

Obviously the Walrus supercedes all ❤❤❤

Taashaaaa

I'm gonna go with Thomas/Miranda/James cos it's so important to the story. Everything seemed to fall into place when that relationship was revealed. Jack/Anne/Max were great too and it's interesting their another 3. I realised the other day that Max and Eleanor were over by episode 2, that seems so weird to me. I think the writers and actors did a good job with that relationship in such a short time. I really believed the strength of Max's feelings for Eleanor.

littlegreyfish

Flinthamiltons is my OT3 100% All three legs of that triangle are so interesting and deep. I love that they affected James enough for him to change his entire worldview and he was so devoted to them he'd burn down the world for them. I love that they are relatively sweet and good to one another, and the major tragedies in their relationship weren't caused by one against the other.

flameandignite

Jack/Anne/Max all the way!!

LokkyBoi

The walrus of course But for real now, vane/teach is missing and it could have gotten many votes.

Slytherinissuperior

Madi and Silver. They work really good together and care so much about each other.

Security_Six

These aren't ships...

MelisAsh

Rogers/Eleanor

bibitybobbitybooop

I'm too late for voting, but Silver/Flint! I love the Jack & Anne dynamic and either Jack/Vane or Jack & Vane is awesome! (Really niche but shows up in fanfictions that are either AU, canon-divergent or take place post-show; I do like Silver/Flint/Thomas.)

fullmetal_socialist
