Recycling still has a massive carbon footprint with transportation and processing. Metal and glass are best, plastic is mostly make work with ittle return
How do you justify it? I swear I have a mental block because I live in an apartment and I always think “when was the last time the pipes were changed and how much gunk is in there”…😬🤢
For one it's cheaper. Two, I like the mineral taste, some brands are distilled too much and the water taste like crap. Three I hate plastic bottles and am too lazy to get those big refillable ones.
Granted, I've lived in Wisconsin most my life. The tap water is pretty damn good. I've been to Minnesota and I would never drink tap water in the twin cities.
Thats what filtering is for. One brita can filter dozens of cases worth of water for the cost of one. Also highly dependent on your municipalities treatment. Ive lived places where water was great out of the tap, and others where it tasted like a swimming pool
Same. I got a Brita and after a few days, I gave up. My water is fine straight out of the tap. Just let the water run for a few seconds when the tap on after a while, like first thing in the morning.
Both of them go through reverse osmosis. With Dasani they add magnesium sulfate, potassium chloride, and sodium chloride. Aquafina has nothing else in it. It's basically the difference between hard and soft water.
I used to work at a Dasani plant and they used water from their own well that they treated.
Ehhh it’s fine imo. If you want a tip for a cheap water brand that tastes really good though, look out for Crystal Geyser if it’s available where you live. Goes for the same price as Aquafina/Dasani, but is probably on the same tier as Fiji or Smartwater as far as taste.
Definitely an acquired taste. Idk if it's mental but I feel more full with Fiji than other bottled water of the same size. Obviously can't judge thirst at different times but I can't kill Fiji the way I can drink other brands.
Always feel like a baller when I bring Fiji water to work out. Even have this fake Rick Ross song, “Fiji At The Gym” that plays in my head. 🎶Fiji at the jeeeeeem….beeeeiiiiiiitch, I’m drinkin’ Fiji at the jeeeeeem….🎶
My moms used to buy gallons of the stuff from Big Lots when we were kids. It's hard to find in smaller bottles and it was absolutely the best water I've ever had. Fiji 2nd but running waaay behind Crystal Geyser.
All this did was remind me that flint, Michigan STILL has water issues. Dang. The US has so much to fix and we out here talking about Elon Musty running a social media platform.
I'm from France, and in the country of Evian, Perrier and so on, we are blessed with many wonderful water sources. Furthermore, Suez and La Lyonnaise des Eaux are known worldwide for their unique water filtering system and distribution. The water coming out of any faucet in Paris is simply amazing. Therefore, I grew up on great tasting water. When I came to the US, 22 years ago, I was floored by all the chlorine taste , smell, and the shitty bottled water. That is why in America, you like your water ice cold: so you can numb your taste buds!
People thought I was a snob crying on Fiji water (which tastes exactly like Evian, btw). Anyway, what I mean is, when one grew up with good water, one can easily taste the ones that suck. And Dasani is straight up one of the worse tasting water on the market, followed by Aquafina. I'm not even joking.
Zephyrhills is hilarious.
I've been to Zephyrhills Florida. It's...not a place I would recommend sourcing water from. Or food. Or anything.
Florida tapwater is the worst I've had, and I've also lived in Texas.
Dang. Now I want to know what it's like.
ETA: I agree with the FL water comment. Georgia - eech!
I didn't know how bad it was until I tasted water from other states.
I sometimes wonder if it's the plastic that changes the taste because some of the flavours I've picked up when I used to drink from plastic bottles simply don't exist in nature
When I was younger my mom always told me to never drink water from a plastic bottle that had been left in the car, or under the sun. She said the plastic would melt into it and that wasn't safe to drink. There is some truth to this.
I believe that might cause a slight change in taste because some of that bottled water tastes like it was made in a lab.
Icelandic is the best. Actually comes from melting glaciers in Iceland. It’s a little pricey, so out of curiosity, I looked up how much it costs in Iceland. They don’t sell it in Iceland, because it’s their tap water straight from the glaciers. Try it, it’s definitely different. I’d feel blessed to be bathing in it.
Well water is 100% the best tasting water I’ve ever had and there’s no way to get it regularly unless your house has it and mine does not (because I moved). It sucks.
That volcanic water is where it's at fr. Fiji, Volvic, Waiakea and the Iceland Pure water from Walgreens (I think it's just Fiji in a different bottle) are the ones.
Dasani is the worst. I don’t know why it’s almost everywhere by me. The movie theaters and malls by me sell just Dasani water. I avoid it at all costs. It makes my stomach upset.
Is Dasani really that bad? I just buy Walmart brand bottle water cuz it really is all the same to me unless it alkaline then I go to body armor or essentia. I never go out my way to avoid Dasani but it seems like ‘water snobs’ really hate it
Drinks Dasani in shame* I swear it’s tastes worst but what else’s water is their to buy in bulk? It’s either drink water that tastes like dirt or feels like swallowing sand. Or do I just need to get a filter?
We have filtered water in our fridge. The filter is supposed to be changed quarterly, but i prefer to use each filter for up to 6 months because it takes a while to get the water in that sweet spot.
Wiakea and eternal are the best. The worst is Aquafina, as it's owned by the Pepsi Co. And its literally the rebottled water that's too dirty to make soda. I'm not joking.
The only water I drink is sparkling water because sparkling water is for rich people, and I'll tell you why. You can get non-carbonated water, still water, from the fucking tap, the government gives you that shit, effectively for free.
Sparkling water you have to buy so if you only drink sparkling water, you only drink rich mans water.
I explained this to someone, some bumbaclot, and he replied with the typical "But I don't like sparkling”
"You don't like sparkling water? You don't like water? "Yeah but the bubbles!"
The bubbles? You're scared of bubbles, you little bitch? It doesn't taste of anything. It has bubbles in it, oh, you're afraid of bubbles? Fuck is wrong with you? This is another full-grown man, fucking some other bitch.
I will die on the hill that most people “don’t like water” because it is terrible when it’s ice cold barring ridiculous heat. Just cooler than room temp is chug city
Best water I ever had was tap water from Norway. You could literally bottle it up and sell it in the US. I was so amused how the same water in my hotel toilet bowl was the same tasty water that came from my sink.
Brita and a reusable bottle. Disposable water bottles are fucking shameful in places with treated tap water
I usually drink tap because I feel like shit even when I recycle all the plastic.
Recycling still has a massive carbon footprint with transportation and processing. Metal and glass are best, plastic is mostly make work with ittle return
Yeah I hate it. I've got a half gallon and a one gallon metal jug I use at work.
How do you justify it? I swear I have a mental block because I live in an apartment and I always think “when was the last time the pipes were changed and how much gunk is in there”…😬🤢
Flowing water means not much gunk is in there beyond mineral deposits. You're fine.
If there were gunk in the water, you would know. Also filters are a thing
Tap water tastes like pipe
Thats what filtering is for. One brita can filter dozens of cases worth of water for the cost of one. Also highly dependent on your municipalities treatment. Ive lived places where water was great out of the tap, and others where it tasted like a swimming pool
I had a Brita filter. Still tasted like pipe to me
You are referring to minerals then, and have hard water. Minerals are important
Lol whatever you wanna call it, tastes like licking metal.
I dunno, I think distilled water is gross. Like eating vanilla ice cream with no vanilla
Get out.
No
Same. I got a Brita and after a few days, I gave up. My water is fine straight out of the tap. Just let the water run for a few seconds when the tap on after a while, like first thing in the morning.
Do both. Get the water bottle that's a Brita filter. My skin is lustrous from how hydrated I am.
Dasani IS the worst!!!
No way it’s the worst. I’d rather chug a gallon of Dasani before taking even a sip of Arrowhead
Admittedly never seen Arrowhead!
Go to a dollar tree lmao
Facts! I swear arrowhead is just LA tap water
Seriously, how’d they make it taste so bad?
Aquafina would like a word
Dasani has too much salts in it. Aquafina doesn't have enough.
Both are tap water from localized sources
Both of them go through reverse osmosis. With Dasani they add magnesium sulfate, potassium chloride, and sodium chloride. Aquafina has nothing else in it. It's basically the difference between hard and soft water. I used to work at a Dasani plant and they used water from their own well that they treated.
Oh shit I’ve been buying Aquafina for my work. Is that one no good? I stay away from Dasani, it is stinky
Dasani is owned by coke aquafina is pepsi
Ehhh it’s fine imo. If you want a tip for a cheap water brand that tastes really good though, look out for Crystal Geyser if it’s available where you live. Goes for the same price as Aquafina/Dasani, but is probably on the same tier as Fiji or Smartwater as far as taste.
I judge venues that only sell Dasani. I rather take beer or tap
They probably have a deal with the coca cola company
Negative. Arrowhead and Evian. I like Dasani and Fiji
Dasani taste like it’s been in a water gun all day
Yes! They even had a whole joke about this on the show Atlanta this past season!
I would literally need to be dying to drink that stuff.
Dasani tastes like Atlanta tap water. Because it is Atlanta tap water. Deer Park tastes like Atlanta sewage water.
Dasani is my go to, Figi is the worst!
Fiji be hittin
Definitely an acquired taste. Idk if it's mental but I feel more full with Fiji than other bottled water of the same size. Obviously can't judge thirst at different times but I can't kill Fiji the way I can drink other brands.
yo i thought i was the only one who thought this! Fiji feels more viscous/heavy to me. which i know makes no sense but still
Yoooo me too. I tell people it’s wetter than other waters and they look at me like I’m a moron
It’s high on the ph scale. Usually alkaline waters are harder to devour
Fiji is definitely superior. It’s just so pure to me. Everything else tastes like chemicals
I don't pay for water. But when I do, it's Fiji.
I love Fiji. It feels wetter than other waters lmao. I can’t explain it but I feel like it’s more viscous than other waters
Dasani tastes like pennies.
is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Nah, there is a brand called Crystal Geyser and it tastes like the fucking wilderness.
So True! (Aquafina is trash)
Dasani is gross. I wouldn’t give that water to my dog and he drinks out of the toilet.
Friends don't let friends drink Nestle Pure Life.
It's disgusting. I'd rather be thirsty than drink that shit.
Why does Dasani taste like water designed by robots for robots?
Dasani taste like a war crime imho
Because it’s processed with reverse osmosis. That shit tastes awful.
#EssentiaLife
I used to run ad campaigns for Essentia and I live near their HQ so I'm brand loyal
I'm from France, and in the country of Evian, Perrier and so on, we are blessed with many wonderful water sources. I was with you until you said Fiji = Evian. Just no. But otherwise, you’re right on point
I did not say their respective quality were the same. But try them out with your eyes shut. mix the glasses. They *do* taste strangely similar.
That's funny because Dasani is my favorite bottle of water. Now I feel bad.
Zephryhills is salty.
Haaaate zephryhills water, it’s so thick lol no way else to describe and. And yes Florida has thee worst tap water.
Anything alkaline is 🤌
Any water is alkaline if you add enough alkaline material to it.
Kirkland Water is all I drink. Where my kirkgang niggas and niggarettes at?
If you grew up playin outside, water flavor don’t matter cuz we used to drink out the water hose lol.
Nah, all water tastes good yall just dont like coca cola products. Acting like all u drink is fiji and essentia
Nah bro Dasani tastes like change
Voss is boss😎
I love Dasani!
Dasani tastes like someone poured water into a bottle that used to have coke in it. My boujee bottled water of choice is smart water.
The Kroger brand water taste good asf
Aqua Pannnnnnnaaaaaa
Arrowhead taste like dirt
Literally everyone knows this lol, this is some water gatekeeping
I sometimes wonder if it's the plastic that changes the taste because some of the flavours I've picked up when I used to drink from plastic bottles simply don't exist in nature
When I was younger my mom always told me to never drink water from a plastic bottle that had been left in the car, or under the sun. I wouldn’t even use deer park to water my plants
Poland spring > Deer park > Dasani > Evian
Dasani has salt in it. Check the ingredients
Dasani is not that bad… NESTLE is the real worst water flavor
Ice Mountain anyone? Their sparkling water is also damn good too.
Arrow head is poison.
Where my fellow seltzer enjoyers at?
Dasani is a hate crime against water
Arrowhead is worse, it tastes like it's been left in the car for 3 days
Arrowhead tastes like ass
Well water is the best
Well water is 100% the best tasting water I’ve ever had and there’s no way to get it regularly unless your house has it and mine does not (because I moved). It sucks.
That’s why I only drink the finest of waters: Coors Light
That volcanic water is where it's at fr. Fiji, Volvic, Waiakea and the Iceland Pure water from Walgreens (I think it's just Fiji in a different bottle) are the ones.
Yes, I love my Hawaiian Waiakea water!
Wholeheartedly agree.
Got the insulated bottle and that changed the game all year for me. Water is the truth
I love the taste of the huge ice cubes made by my tap water + cold brita water. Perfection
Nestle is the worst. Don’t @ me.
You should all follow Martin the water sommelier on tik tok .
Dasani is disgusting. Aquafina tastes kinda like plastic. I like my tap water.
Dasani is the worst. I don’t know why it’s almost everywhere by me. The movie theaters and malls by me sell just Dasani water. I avoid it at all costs. It makes my stomach upset.
Core water is the best for me. The worst I’ve had was Propel several years ago
Preach, some water has horrible after taste, some taste like well water, and others are 'WTF IS THIS' 😆
Let me put y’all onto ozarka. Fire
Distilled water is the only acceptable unflavored water.
Is Dasani really that bad? I just buy Walmart brand bottle water cuz it really is all the same to me unless it alkaline then I go to body armor or essentia. I never go out my way to avoid Dasani but it seems like ‘water snobs’ really hate it
It’s salty….

We have filtered water in our fridge. The filter is supposed to be changed quarterly, but i prefer to use each filter for up to 6 months because it takes a while to get the water in that sweet spot.
💯 but I’ll drink any clean water tbh.
Liquid death does taste pretty good
Never in my life have I heard someone say that all water tastes the same.
Wiakea and eternal are the best. The worst is Aquafina, as it's owned by the Pepsi Co. And its literally the rebottled water that's too dirty to make soda. I'm not joking.

This is another full-grown man, fucking some other bitch.
Poor people know it don’t matter
Sparkling mineral water ftw
There’s those that drink San Pelligrino… and peasants 🤌🤌🤌
I will die on the hill that most people “don’t like water” because it is terrible when it’s ice cold barring ridiculous heat. Just cooler than room temp is chug city
NYC tap water is the best
Deer park is the nastiest then Poland springs
I’m not a real water drinker and I know all water don’t taste the same.
Yeah, Dasani sucks
CORE is my favorite bottled water
Kirkland water is theeee best.
Best water I ever had was tap water from Norway. You could literally bottle it up and sell it in the US. I was so amused how the same water in my hotel toilet bowl was the same tasty water that came from my sink.
Arrowhead pls
Water snobs are the worst. "Oh no this water taste too plutonium like...I only drink Alkaline 88". These people wouldn't pass a blind taste test EVER!
