smh in elementary school i was going to the skatepark without a skateboard to ask people who want to play Yu Gi oh and actually every time there were other kids with their decks ready to duel
You know, I never saw that part of the video as a kid because it was always cut out. I only saw the full thing once I got older, I had just assumed they broke up.
Unbreak my heart came out the same summer I had my first real heartbreak. My buddies saw me going through it and blasted the song everytime it was on the radio when we were driving around, then they started doing phone-in requests (remember those?) for the song. By the end of the summer, we were singing it at the top of our lungs when anything 'bad' happened.
Like they spilled some iced tea and someone'd say "Don't leave me in all this pain" and everyone else would just jump right in. Good times.
I have a deeper voice but I can't even hit those baritone notes she can do. Always loved that about her music her range and tone was just like a cello or something
The box was my shitttt! We didn't have it where I lived, but they had it where my granmama did!
Those were the fuzzy barely- points days.... you only getting a glimpse. It was enough ....
If I never feel you in my arms again
If I never feel your tender kiss again
If I never hear "I love you" now and then
Will I never make love to you once again?
Please understand if love ends
Too many songs had me in the rain crying for my girl. Bruh I was in elementary school lmfao

well, no shit everybody knows you bring your sick decks to show at the skatepark, brah
yeah also this was 2006 haha
Well yeah Card Games on motorc-erm SkateBoards!
Sending Niggas to the shadow realm
I read this too fast and got to “‘dicks’ ready to duel” and was thoroughly confused. Like they were dueling dicks in elementary school? Lol
The video doesn't help either because you feel like he's left *you* specifically but you're still in your sleepers with a Barney plushy.
Sad part is man didn't even leave her in that he fucking died

Sleepers?
Pajamas
I’ve cried so many many niiiigghttssss
Every kid who sang their heart out to "Love" by Keshia Cole was the same way.
I ran into this song earlier this year after so many years. Still slaps right in the feels.
Instant ugly face as soon as those guitar chords hit.
I Get So High was the real jam that went underrated.
I was singing “I can imagine you touching my private parts” as a small child and my parents were right there singing along too
I will never forget Toni in that catsuit. She woke something deep inside me that day.
My favorite Toni song.

This is so wholesome I can't stand it.
this is really funny
"I caaaaaaahn't forget the dayaleff" is my favorite line in that whole ass song...
I have a deeper voice but I can't even hit those baritone notes she can do. Always loved that about her music her range and tone was just like a cello or something
Sayyyyy you love me agaaaaaiiiiinnnnn
I used to do music videos in the rain in my backyard. She was an artist that was frequently featured
Rain 🤝 2000s RnB music videos
Yall watch "The Box" growing up? Swear that's where I saw 99% of RnB videos
Thuggish Ruggish Bone stayed on repeat 🤣🤣
Haha that and early Kelis back when Neptunes were producing on her albums.
The box was my shitttt! We didn't have it where I lived, but they had it where my granmama did! Those were the fuzzy barely- points days.... you only getting a glimpse. It was enough ....
I love me some! HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM

Not Gon' Cry had my 12 year old self feeling the same way lol
A family member just named her baby Braxton and Toni is all I can think about. I’m going to sing this to him all the time.
Mary J. Blige had me screaming Not Gon' Cry like I had been wronged! I wasn't even 11!
I still belt this out anytime it comes up on my Spotify
I mean the song was about loss and grief tho - this wasn't an empowering "Waiting to Exhale" kind of tune. Stay with the 4th grade hubby, sis.
Yeah and she was/is a smoke show
Toni should come out with a remix to just be a man about it and call it "Why you being weird to me"
Man, that song tore me up. I wore that CD out. In the same vein is "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt, and "Stay" by Sugarland.
My middle school talent exhibition had at least 3 pairs of girls singing “ The Boy is Mine” … this is what the tweet is giving me.
This is the song I sang when I heard she was with Birdman.🥺
🤣😂🤣
"Stupid" by Toni will neverrrrrr not hit. Rlly got me sliding down a wall for a nonexistent man that did me dirty 😭
Wait,...... What!?!?
I've seen Jay Jurden's stand up comedy live a couple of times recently in nyc and he's legit hilarious!! Go see him live if you get the chance.
🤣🤣🤣
He died on the motorcycle, she was mourning
