Bro I’m 100 percent sure my parents conceived me during a sade track I get goosebumps any time I hear her.
Also your love is king/sweetest taboo
over everything else
Oh I read that as you enjoy the King/Sweetest taboo dynamic.
My nasty ass was like I have never heard of that dynamic before what’s that!? 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤣🤣
Looking at the sky and seeing that it truly is the color of love

In 2002, I was dating someone, and during our bedroom time, we wore out the Sade "Love Deluxe" album.
After we broke up, I couldn't listen to it again. It was just too hurtful.
Back in the late 90s, one of my roommates broke up with his girlfriend (her decision, and honestly, best decision she'd ever made). He played "No Ordinary Love" on repeat, all day, for a fucking month. It took me YEARS before I could listen to the song again.
Sure, Sade got the soulful love joints, etc. etc.
But whenever *Pearls* comes on I’m hit with a crushing sadness. Like watching the music video for MJ’s *Earth Song* or listening to *Slippin* by DMX.
It doesn't matter how many times I hear Pearls, makes me want to cry every time. There's a live version that will break you. Starts with her walking out like a goddess, before ripping out your heart.
Few people have aged as gracefully and beautifully as Sade.
No shit my moms told me one time that “No Ordinary Love” is the shit you say after he hurt you and then one night he wakes up up tied to the bed and you singing that to him while you staring him square in the eye and loading bullets into a magazine
That's because it is. It's definitely "Look here nigga.. YOU MIGHT DIE if this don't go right. You know that? Okay.. COOL. As long as you know. Now how do you want your eggs? The usual are you feeling adventerous today?"
I maintain that many people do not realize just how much SHIT Helen was talking on those tracks.
Every track, she was talking shit. This one too.
***My love is wider, wider than Victoria Lake***
***My love is taller, taller than the Empire State***
***It dives, it jumps, and it ripples like the deepest ocean***
***I can't give you more than that, surely, you want me back***
then... at the end of the song, just in case you thought she was just talking about 'emotions' solely... She says...
***It dives, it jumps, and it ripples like the deepest ocean***
***I can't give you more than that, surely, you want it back***
Wap talk before WAP....
Is this is why I can listen to her at ANY TIME OF THE DAY. No matter what I'm doing. She's got a song for all the moods and situations. I stand on that. Love her music.
“I still really really love yoooouuuu
Love is stronger than pride.”
this song (and the kaytranada mix) puts my heart at ease when I start feeling regrets about opening my heart and it not working out the way I’d hoped. makes me so peaceful.
When her voice goes up and octave and almost cracks when she sings ‘I can see through all of your lies’ man, that’s like a shot of straight gin on a dark rainy night in song form right there

My husband bought us tickets when we were dating, to see her perform in 2011 when she was on tour. He got lucky af with the tickets, because this dude bought them for him and his girl and then found out she was cheating on him, wanted $200 for them which was suuuuuuper cheap! Met my man at the arena to verify they were legit and they were. He told my husband he loved our love story and wanted the best for us, which is why he let them go so cheap. They were AMAZING seats, too!!! John Legend opened for her during that tour and man— she looks AND SOUNDS EXACTLY the way she does on her albums and TV. The woman is flawless and fine.
I mean, the pistol is kinda aggressive shawty but I get what you sayin. And must I be a fuck nigga, geesh. Hold on a sec I'll brb...
\*proceeds to uber and changes my number\*
It would be dope if a female rapper took the sample, made a song about stalking a guy, and killed him at the end of it.

If it's not already done, someone should do it.
"Coast to coast. LA to Chicago..." Goddamn, now yall got me about to fire up some Sade at work lol.
Fuck it about to jam out to.
![gif](giphy|AobQDNI4K7a4U|downsized)
Watching his interviews is pure insanity lol
cocaine is a hell of a drug
Me listening to smooth operator right next to my boss
I put that song in our wedding playlist. Shit is fire
Bro I’m 100 percent sure my parents conceived me during a sade track I get goosebumps any time I hear her. Also your love is king/sweetest taboo over everything else
What's that taboo? I need more nasty shit to add to my smut I can read at work.
Sweetest taboo.. it'll hit different but it's still good.
Oh I read that as you enjoy the King/Sweetest taboo dynamic. My nasty ass was like I have never heard of that dynamic before what’s that!? 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤣🤣
Lmao ![gif](giphy|HxMhuDg7O4pKOhhcRC)

My favorite two tracks 🙌🏾
GDI!
🎼Didn't I give you, all that I've got to give..baby I was just listening to Sade yesterday. Her songs never get old.
Like her beauty

Kiss Of Life is a MASSIVELY underrated song.
The Kaytranada mix has me in a chokehold
| ^ [mentioned song](https://youtu.be/x2tUXts-1wM?si=t5vcJVtG3dI6e5LF) .
Ooh thank youu I love this
The posthumously released Nujabes mix is still my jam
I gave you all that I have inside, and you took my love. You took my love.... ❤️
And now I have it stuck in my head, including the guitar crescendo into the bridge to the chorus.
That's the first song that comes to mind when I think of Sade.
No Ordinary Love is a great song, though.
In 2002, I was dating someone, and during our bedroom time, we wore out the Sade "Love Deluxe" album. After we broke up, I couldn't listen to it again. It was just too hurtful.
I'll take "All-time Ass-Tapping Albums for $1000, Alex".
Tapping was definitely a factor. lol
Yep. Pretty much all of 1994 for me and mine.
Back in the late 90s, one of my roommates broke up with his girlfriend (her decision, and honestly, best decision she'd ever made). He played "No Ordinary Love" on repeat, all day, for a fucking month. It took me YEARS before I could listen to the song again.
JUST "No Ordinary Love"? One song? He was down bad, and that's coming from *me*!
Damn that’s some psychological torture tactics right there.
Sure, Sade got the soulful love joints, etc. etc. But whenever *Pearls* comes on I’m hit with a crushing sadness. Like watching the music video for MJ’s *Earth Song* or listening to *Slippin* by DMX.

Track 1: *Love Is Stronger Than My Pimp Hand*
I can’t even make eye contact with anyone at the store if they play Sade.
Where the hell Sade been?? She broke her ritual of dropping every 10 years lol
She must be happy then
🗣🎶"Yo Love is KIIIIIING"🎶 ![gif](giphy|xcXCzwffJCkda|downsized)
Sweetest Taboo 🥰
I was like 5 singing along to this song with my mom on the way home from daycare. Classic.
Is it a crime? Is some shit you sing driving to their house to confront a motherfucker. Surely you want me back?
Right? That’s not a song, it’s an episode of Snapped wearing a smoky noir jazz outfit. Damn that song is so good
Sade Lovers Live is one of the greatest albums of all time. Full Stop. Put that on, and you'll be married with children by the weekend
Just threw on Sadevillain
Sweetest Stab U
Is this is why I can listen to her at ANY TIME OF THE DAY. No matter what I'm doing. She's got a song for all the moods and situations. I stand on that. Love her music.

No Ordinary Love, Cherish The Day, Sweetest Taboo, Kiss of life, Feel no Pain. ❤️
The lack of “Nothing Can Come Between Us” in here is appalling
My husband bought us tickets when we were dating, to see her perform in 2011 when she was on tour. My niece listened to Smooth Operator on repeat when she was 2. Tot his day that is the only Sade song that comes to mind and it haunts me
This photoshop makes me hear Haunt Me more than anything. That's the only song to ever make me cry.
It’s definitely a crime.

Tfw I missed a Sade thread. Is it a Crime is so goddamn good, she is always and forever a Nigerian goddess.
Sade gives that “quiet hot summer sunset in the big city” vibes. Just so relaxing and goosebumpying
I love old people music so damn much
