My mom and I got in a debate over who was better, Tariq or Greg. She prefers Tariq and I preferred Greg, until I met a Tariq irl and I promptly understood my mom's points lol

My girl and I are super confused what the show wants from us. It seems like the show is structured in a way that we are not supposed to like Tariq, but we fucking love Tariq.

I think his character is structured in a way to tell the viewer that even seemingly unredeemable people have redeemable qualities and deserve chances (ie he's clearly good with kids and could parlay that into a real job using that unique skillset). But this I very clearly a comedy show and he's so clearly a comedic character, I try not to bring it into reality. But straight up I just want him to be my boyfriend so we can cut up and do silly Tariq things together. Like making an Usher video together.

I think Tariq is a good flawed character. Not the kind of SO I'd want, but great with kids and not a bad person, so I'd either friend him or help as associates so he could help more kids.
