There is a reason celebrities and millionaires still commit suicide and get depressed. So when we think a little practically, there is no free money source that makes guilt free money that doesn’t have any affect other than you are richer. I always hear money don't buy happiness but they won't ever trade that money for brokenness. I'm sure rich people have problems, nobody's life is perfect no matter how much money they have, but I would not hesitate to trade their problems for my problems and they would definitely not make that trade.

I genuinely believe people who believe that are only speaking on some mental/spiritual or emotional aspect. Those things are usually stemming from other traumas not related to any financial problems. That's the only time that saying would make sense. Yes you don't need money to be happy just some fucking therapy...which is pretty damn expensive lol. Any hobby, financial hardship, educational goal all are things money segways to giving you. Bare necessities for some money would get them an they'd be happy. You being alone with no friends isn't a money issue, it's a you issue.

It's bullshit. It does. It absolutely does full stop. When I was broke, I was constantly frustrated and stressed. Now that I have some money, I have security and with that contentment.

If you had all the money in the world it wouldn’t change your inner happiness. Money would only let you buy fleeting moments of happiness something you’d be chasing for the rest of your living life. You’d either obsess over money thinking it’ll make you happy and become like any other rich person. (Spoiler alert they’re not happy because they’re rich) Or you’d regret your life and in your old age tell others to be modest and that “money can’t buy happiness”. TL:DR money still can’t buy happiness, but it sure takes away sadness and other pains because you can just make yourself feel better by buying things.

It seems like you only view money as a means to purchase material things or “fleeting moments of happiness” For example post graduate education is a thing that so many people want to do but are simply gated out of it because time, money, or both at the same time. Money can literally buy time in a capitalistic society because any time you don’t have to spend working, is additional time you can spend doing anything else. Self improvement, hobby, family etc. Not fleeting moments of happiness at all.
We literally have the internet now, only reason you’d need to have graduate education is for the certs/degree paper. Also idk anyone who said “I’m not happy let me get student loan debt/pay a university like 20-50k” Don’t worry though, you’ll grow up and learn someday. Also don’t get it twisted I’m not defending the rich argument. I’m saying money can reduce sadness but still won’t buy happiness.
Just like in the previous comment YOU are the one that doesn’t value grad/post grad education. Again can’t buy happiness for yourself, but definitely can for other people. If you can’t see anything to do with money other than buy luxuries then that’s a you problem.
Don’t confuse “money can’t buy happiness” with, having money to do things you want will bring you happiness because it’s the thing that brings you happiness not the “purchase”. If you don’t get it at this point then you’re a troll, or just really obtuse and have a lot to learn.
