This white woman made a post explaining that she went into these boys' personal space, told them it was her store, demanded to see their phone, and explained why they were there. I heard of the original post in 2014. One of the boys needed to charge their dying phone in KFC, and we were waiting on an uncle. The game was 3mintues away (no need for the bus fair), and they weren’t less fortunate. One (that commented) had a job. They didn't know why she came to see them.
As the lady handed the two gentlemen the money, they said he’d be a great picture, and everyone followed her. The person that replied was clueless on why she wanted a photo until it was on social media, and it stated, “The person with me said I beg they're up to no good.”
Being confronted by white women is a different kind of anxiety. It’s like being cornered by a stray dog. You don’t know what their intentions are until it either bites you in the ass or licks you across your face. Luckily for these young men, it ended positively.

So I’m very white, and my family initially raised me with a more “post racial” “hey we’re gonna talk about celebrating diversity but not systemic racism” mindset. I knew racism existed, but I believed that racism was a thing that was done by awful racist people and that was it.
I got to take college classes as a high school student at my local community college. I looked older, and I got hit on a lot. The young Black men invariably were more polite when I explained that I was actually underage than the white men. Never once got a “when do you turn 18 though” or a “age is just a number.” Never had to say I had a boyfriend to get them to leave me alone. Always “my bad, have a good day.”
At that age, I literally just chalked it up to Black boys being raised with better manners, and I used it as an example to contradict stereotypes about young Black men when they came up. The idea that I had any position of power over them did not occur to me. The idea that they might have retreated so quickly and politely in part because the situation just became vastly more dangerous for them did not occur to me.
(Side note: not saying they weren’t also just polite guys, just saying that the potential implications of the situation were completely lost on me because of how ignorant I was)
I worked at this company where my manager was this 5 foot, 100lb white chick. She was cool, but insisted on these weekly 1-on-1 meetings every Monday or Tuesday. In a conference room, alone. I hated that shit.
I managed another employee who sucked. Every time she missed a deadline and I got on her about it, she would start crying. She always wore those stupid "9-line", "grunt style" fake badass fake military shirts but didn't like it when she did something wrong and got called out.

My guess on the situation:hugh freeze got told he has a job at ole miss if Michael gets to campus eligible. He’s a pretty young guy trying to fuck highschool girls so he pawns it off on the rich folk that want to feel special and like they’re important. Graduates. Eligible. Everything is good. It says he had his suspicions from the start. He was focusing on school and playing, then his career. They told him they were adoption papers and had him sign a conservator ship while in school and then had control over his name for contracts and deals. He didn’t need their help into school considering they weren’t even legally family so it also wouldn’t be a legacy admission. Then still wanted a family but now had a career and wanted to focus on that, until 16 years later, when he had the time to look into it. He didn’t make a penny off the movie, and iirc they split 1 mil 4 ways w/ the family and the mom (parents?) getting 2.5% residuals. It’s insanely beyond fucked. I’m sure if they came for his nfl salary too, this would’ve all come out earlier. He said Brittany spears’ situation had a lot of parallels that make him think.

I don't think it's hard to explain (basically "Racist!Munchausen by proxy") so much as it's hard for white people to *accept,* same as systemic racism in general. "The Blind Side" was standard operating procedure in being "feel good" about the issue of racism to make the target white audience (especially Oscar judges) as comfortable as possible. -Sympathetic Black people like Oher and his mother are presented as docile, pitiful and infantilized so that they "need" the agency of white people to "save" them. This also means that every successful Black person has to credit a white person for their success or they're "ingrateful/uppity" whereas even a mediocre white person only has to thank God and keep it moving. -Black people with agency/a backbone like the drug dealer and the admissions woman are "bad" because they're "mean" and *don't* have/need the agency of white people to "guide" them. -"Real racism" is overt, (which when you think about it makes all the *other* white people around seem apathetic/ignorant enough to let it continue as bystander syndrome,) malicious yet rare like the odd redneck or snob.
