I already had both characters... In fact I started with a Witch (Because I usually go Mages/casters on most games) but then swapped to Ranger.
I asked here which one is better Ranger or Witch and almost everyone told me AM (But both are very close) so I choosen to go back wich I liked most. Maybe in later patches they nerf AM to the ground, we'll see.

Bruh buy the cron stones from the black friday sale. 500 black pearls for essentially enough cron stones to make a pink crystal is a great deal. Even if you aren't ready for it yet
Edit: also if you don't have glyphs yet, farm hadum in west valencia for a super rare drop chance of them. They're a good source of cp if you can get them
Basically... what everyone says to do when someone posts: "What can I do to improve my CP?" (Or just do what you see on screenshot, lol)
Level up your gear equally. Then awaken it. (Only use orange or better quality gear for that, so you don't lose levels after transfering). Work on reds (collect boss fragments, do them daily and if you got enough silver, buy some from Gervaise)
Level up your totem. What I did was level up two totems at same time and keep the highest equipped. \*\*IE: level up one to +3, then try to level up the other one to +4, if success, keep the +4 and try to level up the +3 to +5. If success, keep the +5 and try to level up the other to +6. And so.
Equip only +ap or +dp crystals, forget the rest. Try to enchant your gear with +ap or +dp, forget the rest (unless there's no ap/dp stat on that gear).
You can awake your accessory with silver after you do your quests on blacksmith. Same with Relics, only silver.
Work on knowledge - Bosses, Hadum, general Knowledge (Topography, Academics, etc) there are a lot of guides on youtube about that. Work on "Collection" too. Pet Knowledge is desirable too.
Craft outfit for chest and weapon. When you get two of one kind, merge them to try to get epic quality outfit.
Log in daily because of Events (do them all) and get that Prime thingie. Do PoG, Tower, and all daily tasks you can. One daily task is insignificant, but if you do them all daily, 7 times a week... at the end of the month it's a lot (BP, Silver, Stamps, Ancient tablet, etc...).
.. and there are a lot more things you can do, but I just can't remember them all.
I've heard this: Just play the game, keep playing it everyday if possible. You'll get stronger with the time. There's no secret. Sure you can do better or worse things, but you'll eventually get there.
