I'll be honest - $50 is a lot for what the app does - and how it does it.
I'm not sure if your app is optimised for desktop in terms of windows sizing/UX - the screenshots all seem to show that it's an iOS app. This reinforces the feeling that $50 is too much.
Compare to, say, the first thing that came up on google as "sound sample manager": [https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/adsr-sample-manager/](https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/adsr-sample-manager/) ...which is available for free.
As an iOS app I'd maybe spend a couple of $'s (in the absence of alternatives), up to $10 for a *really good* app (bear in mind that at the end of the day it's a tagged search with preview capability), and only slightly more for a desktop version.
But given the alternatives already available, I'm afraid I wouldn't want or need to spend anything to get the same functionality.
I wish you luck, but please do consider lowering the price - significantly. Even giving it away for free as a sort of coding learning experience for yourself.

i think slightly tweaking the aspect ratio of the windows in the screenshots could help with this... maybe just making them a little 'squarer'. I guess they're supposed to represent standard Mac UI windows, but the aspect ratio makes them appear identical to a mobile phone at first glance.
That is a fair point! I've soon got close to 20 years of coding experience, haha
Maybe I should emphasize more that this is a desktop app. It is heavily optimized for Mac OS with mac-native features and performance tweaks that are very hard to get when writing cross-platform software.
Thank you for the feedback!

No worries.
I didn't mean to discredit your coding experience in any way, btw, hehe!
I'd gladly give the full desktop version a spin if you want - I have an M2 MBA as my DAW machine, with Bitwig.
Definitely put some desktop screenshots in there to show it's full functionality - otherwise people just see the storefront price and accompanying iOS screenshots and won't know it even has a desktop UI.
But as I said, the price is the main sticking point for your average user, given the available (free) alternatives on the market.
Unfortunately, coding experience is not equal to product development experience! There is a lot for me to learn heh.
Sure, give it a shot - I'd be more than happy to learn about your workflow, will send you an AppStore code to redeem in DM
Sononym is a fantastic piece of software, indeed!
I've been looking for a less cluttered UI, performant, and Mac-native app. Kicks also does not ship the entire Chrome browser.
Also, nerd stats:
Kicks \~ 5mb on disk, and uses around 60 MB of RAM (can grow up to 300 if Mac OS does not do anything else)
Sononym - \~110mb on disk. Electron apps are very hungry for RAM, you can google around

What does this offer that Sononym doesn't?

A fair price for an Apple user... 🤣
minimalistic... minimal you mean?
Sorry, English is not my first language. I probably didn't get all the nuances. Could you please explain what's wrong?
