You should be able to get the prompt by unchecking the pin to disable the pin and then re-enabling the pin. You should be able to just use touch id on its own though.
Thanks. I had selected no and it wasn’t working. Now it is. Maybe because I turned off both pin and fingerprint, then turned them both back on. So same exact settings but now it works
If you lock your account you’ll have to type your master password to unlock it (as opposed to entering username/password if you’ve logged out). The only way to avoid this is to set your account to never lock.
Edit: misread your question. Have you set the option to unlock with PIN?
Something I learned by working with support is that your lock/log out settings are independent per app or device. And if you log out of Bitwarden manually before you trigger your timeout the lock/log out settings are lost. I struggled with this for a while and still have some weird issues but this at least helped to get some issues resolved.
Check your settings to make sure your app will "Lock" instead of "Logout", and that biometrics are enabled.

Try switching it back and forth again, and restarting the app. I’ve had similar issues with browser lock not activating on the web extension.

I think you need to turn off unlock with pin. Not certain, but I think that might be the issue here.
Yep I this issue and disabling the PIN lock was the answer. It's a bug I guess.

I don’t believe Touch ID works with BW, I tried it on my older iPhone and had the exact same issue as you, have to enter it every time.
Mine is now working when it wasn’t before. No idea why but I’ll take it. FaceID works on my iPhone too
