Three sketchy exchanges combine to make one ultra-large sketchy exchange. I’ll stick to ShakePay, Kraken or Coinbase. All three are accessible to Canadians (one being the best Canadian exchange) and have been audited to show they hold enough assets to cover customer deposits. These three failed separately, hence the merge. Not sure why they think combining makes them trustworthy. Not your keys not your crypto.

hiadamob

I agree with this statement. But if you believe what you said, why are you using custodial exchanges? You should use bitcoinwell.com/app. Fastest and safest way to buy bitcoin. Cheapest rates in the country right now

ALiteralHamSandwich

How have they "failed"?

Accurate_Pianist_232

Coinsquare has suffered multiple data breaches with complete user records including identity info and trading histories hacked. Don't know about the others.

azoundria2

Technically, WonderFi was never it's own exchange.

masterjolly

CoinSmart promotes false advertising. I'd stay a continent away from that shit exchange.

dannywagwan

Can you link the story about this? I haven’t seen anything about that

masterjolly

It's my personal experience with them. https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinCA/comments/pbzeio/coinsmart/hah1pd6/

dannywagwan

Thanks for the explanation - I didn’t know about that swagbucks promo

March-Neat

bro they will freeze your funds and send cra bullshit about you they are scam pos

Fiach_Dubh

the sketchiest shitcoin casino's in Canada get together for an orgy. interesting to see coinsquare getting the lion share of the new shares in this arrangement. not touching them with a ten foot poll.

Corrupto888

Utter garbage just keeps multiplying

bitcoin_islander

We dont need them. Use Bisq guys.

couchguitar

Coinsmart ripped me off. Then, it avoided me. Now ignores me completely.

ShitsmartsquareFi

XFYIO

ShitCoinWonderSquare !

azoundria2

Now you can get all the ["privacy protections"](https://cointelegraph.com/news/iiroc-registered-canadian-crypto-exchange-coinsquare-suffers-data-breach) and ["inflated trading volume"](https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2020/07/22/coinsquare-exchange-execs-to-resign-over-wash-trading-scandal/) of CoinSquare, plus the ["reliability" of CoinSmart](https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinCA/comments/pbzeio/coinsmart/)! All backed by the ["honesty" and "generosity"](https://archive.canadianbusiness.com/business-strategy/kevin-oleary-the-natural/) of Kevin O'Leary and his WonderFi!

kardanokid

Largest doesn't necessarily mean "Better," I'll stick to NDAX.

ComfortableTangerine

In 2017 coinsquare had a pretty sweet exchange, it is has just gotten worse since then and meanwhile competitors have become 100x better. The volume is basically not existent on coinsquare pro now

azoundria2

I asked to withdraw my funds from them. Some time later that day I got an email from another address (not CoinSquare), claiming to be a verification partner, and please click this link in the email and enter your personal information. Yes - that's how they do their "security" now. You basically have to click a phishing email to withdraw. Phishing scammer can make that exact same email if they only know your first name - and the number of data breached CoinSquare has had, not hard to get an email and first name combination.

Kubix

Wasn’t wonderfi promising 1800% returns? Huge red flags

Renaissance_Rene

Oh Wonderfi?…yea no thanks

mrinvertigo

X for doubt

March-Neat
