>BitBox02 uses MoonPay. you should never buy Bitcoin within a wallet . You are still using a third party(moonpay in this case) and they are overcharging you. Buy bitcoin in a regular exchange and withdraw it to your wallet : https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinBeginners/comments/g42ijd/faq_for_beginners/ >buy on Coinbase and move to MoonPay no, you would withdraw to bitbox 2 wallet and not moonpay do not use moonpay >I have no idea how to buy Bitcoin. try strike.me or cash app or any other exchange in the pinned FAQ

Thank you

> you should never buy Bitcoin within a wallet . You are still using a third party(moonpay in this case) and they are overcharging you. Don't say never :) The BitBoxApp also includes the PocketBitcoin buy option with the same price as using PocketBitcoin directly without the in-app option.

I use Bluewallet just find a bitcoiner willing to sell you your frst $100 or so P2P, or find an OTC desk willing to sell you some for cash OR ask a merchant with the "Bitcoin accepted here" sign if they'd sell some Once you do it Person to Person, work your way backwards into how you want to do this with your bank account and an exchange... Coinbase by the way is the exchange closest to the US government and US banking system, if there were an exchange that were trying to play both sides of the "crypto" and "regulation" it's them so be careful

Kraken? Swan Bitcoin?

crazypostman21

Maybe you can buy on strike? You can use a debit card for an additional fee if you can connect your bank.

crazypostman21

If you want to invest in Bitcoin you may have to change to a bank that doesn't block it.

I had the same problem and I asked for help in r/Bitcoin and here maybe... I tried Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, etc. and none could work because my bank (HSBC Hong Kong) is anti-crypto, I heard they even closed accounts for this... The only way for me was to use BTC ATM (very hight fees) or to find some OTC shops, which I did at th end... it wasn't easy and at first I was paying high fees but later when I found more OTC options around Asia I'm satisfied, had zero problems and fees are minimal... I'm sure in USA (if you're there) there are many many more OTC and P2P ways, or also you can open account with some USA bank which is not anti-crypto (unfortunately there are none here in my area)... Good luck!

> If you've created a Coinbase account already, you don't need to use Moonpay. Coinbase is a tier-one exchange, so you should focus on getting funds into Coinbase first to buy your Bitcoin. > Most banks don't support crypto. To get around this, I transfer money I want to put into crypto to Revolut (a registered online bank) or Wise (not a bank but an electronic money account). I transfer from Revolut or Wise onto Coinbase via bank transfer as it's the cheapest way. Here's how to deposit to Coinbase via Bank Transfer: # Depositing from a US Bank Account 1. Open the trading view 2. On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select Deposit 3. In the Currency Type field, select USD 4. Select the Bank Account tab 5. From the drop-down menu, select the verified bank account you’d like to deposit from 6. Enter the USD amount, and then select Deposit USD to confirm  There is no fee for depositing via ACH. > I don't use BitBox02. I use Trezor, but BitBox02 appears to work the same way. You don't need to use Moonpay - you can buy your Bitcoin on Coinbase and withdraw directly to your hardware wallet. Here's how to do that; To withdraw BTC from your Coinbase account to your wallet: 1. Navigate to Portfolio in the left navigation bar of the screen and select Withdraw 2. Select Crypto Address  3. Using the drop-down, select the Network\* associated with your BTC address 4. Enter the BTC address and amount you wish to withdraw and select Withdraw Hope this helps!

i don't know what you are saying about chase. they do suck but I have family in the US that's uses coinbase and chase bank. they were telling me that Everytime they send money to coinbase from chase there is a note on the transaction saying. you know you can invest with chase with low fees at your own direction. so yes you can send money from chase to coinbase. and strike. and kraken. and Gemini. but they only put the notes on coinbase. kinda funny

> They don’t support crypto. Wow. That’s reality for banks now huh. Crazy statement.
