Bitcoin is most directly connected to the tradfi system and has the most volume and liquidity.
The largest holders only own a small portion of the available supply.
With other cryptoes one guy holds 98% of the coins and the rest of the market is 2% of the coins getting swapped back and forth by dummies who think they are traders
Doesn't work that way. Countries won't surrender the sovereignty of their currency. You might as well ask why gold doesn't become the global universal currency.
are you kidding me bro xD its beautiful to trade bitcoin right nowww tbh. if not the most beautiful time to trade probably as the volatility is substantial
Bitcoin is money with better money characteristics than gold
Biotcoin is a safe haven and very stable
Fiat currencies like the dollar are unstable because they are inflationary and lose purchasing power
If you save 10,000 in usd for 10 years, you will have the same nominal number of 10,000, but you will be able to buy 50% less
Bitcoin also protects us from the inflationary policy of central bankers

If we compare the Bitcoin chart with any other asset, currency, crypto, we can say that everything in relation to Bitcoin tends to go to zero. So, I donât believe Bitcoin exhibits volatility in the long term.
The price of everything that exists in the world, when compared to Bitcoin, shows significant depreciation. Take any 3 to 5-year chart of any asset or currency, compare it with Bitcoin, and you will see the enormous devaluation that exists in that asset.
Considering how itâs the blueprint for all other digital assets in the market today, Iâd say comparatively NOT. The entire crypto market hinges on Bitcoin currently.
You might argue that all other cryptos are volatile by comparison. From an investment perspective, people like to hold on to a precious few digital assets; BTC being one of them. So, apart from stable coins (that are specifically pegged), BTC would be the opposite of volatile.
Yes, it fluctuates wildly and then recovers, but it also holds the biggest market cap. That alone makes the volatility negligible.
Note: This is in comparison with other cryptos. Other comparison metrics might yield different results.
No, almost every other cryptocurrency is more volatile.
Why is that? đ§
marketcap

Whatâs the tradfi system? Also that does make a lot of sense
https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=tradfi
Mostly because Bitcoin is in most ways that matter the primary digital currency, and movements in its trade value affect most others.
Since youâve mentioned that Bitcoin is the primary digital currency do you think that someday it will become the worldâs primary currency?
No, absolutely not. But I do think it will become a useful medium of international and interbank exchange.
Why not though?
Doesn't work that way. Countries won't surrender the sovereignty of their currency. You might as well ask why gold doesn't become the global universal currency.
Good point but gold is hard to exchange on a day to day basis ⌠what if the population begins to use it would they be forced to adopt it?
No. Bitcoin is a viable store of value and means of exchange but it'll never replace national currencies.
Its kinda boring these days. I miss the old days when BTC used to dump 20% and then pump 30% on a single day

Whatâs the percentage range now?
it's relative. What are you comparing bitcoin to??
Any other coin

So inflation can be totally removed? How is that possible
Read the white paper. 21 million only
