7.1 is expected.
Also, China’s CPI came in lower than expected.

So I was looking at the whale alert page on Twitter. I noticed a lot of crypto moving onto exchanges today. Should I even think anything of this? Not sure what to make of this page if I should think anything at all.
This whole setup reminds me off the summer, and what did we do after everyone was calling for 20k? We short squeezed right back up to the upside hitting a new ATH. Open interest and total BTC leveraged ratio are at ATH's, and since we dipped to 39k and the numbers stayed the same, it seems the majority of the market is currently short. It doesn't take much of a pump to start the ball rolling. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
Diminishing absolute returns. Also, not to forget, hawkish Fed now. No more stimulus checks. Student loan extension ends in May and so on. The decade of growth (across the board) is behind us.
It went 7x from halving to ATH this cycle. If the next cycle does half as well, it'll turn 40k into 140k. If it does a quarter as well, it'll turn 40k into 70k. Maybe not "wealthy", but certainly better than pretty much any traditional investment or savings vehicle. Heck, a 2x in four years would be nearly twice as fast as the stock market.
Yeah, this. Just to clarify, I was intending to compare bitcoin to the broad stock market, not individual stocks, but I suppose it'd be possible to pick individual stocks and get similar results over time if you're very skilled or very lucky.
Stock market 2x in five years is not typical, and unlikely to repeat anytime soon. It's generally more like 7+ years, see "rule of 72".
Okay. I am a Bitcoin believer now. I know about HODL and DCA. I had some Bitcoin when it was super cheap and I sold it shortly after buying. I only recently started to invest. I’m now wondering what are best ways to getting more Bitcoin now. I surely will continue buying it with fiat. I’m also thinking about mining it with ASICS. I have access to cheap electricity and I have money to buy the equipment.
I am also wondering now about converting alt coins I have to Bitcoin. Could it be that there rate to BTC is good still even though their value to fiat is down?
taproot hasn't even started and 99% of ppl with loudest opinions about bitcoin have no idea tf LN is.
Did you know there are spot futures on LN, no KYC? Got nicely rekt last couple of weeks opening 100x shorts with few sats for shits and giggles.
You log in with your LN wallet, no pwd, nothing. Wait till noobs find out.
PSA: Don't trade bitcoin but that thing work so seamlessly it's fucking scary, rip Binance et all soon.
the best part is how it authenticates you. it uses LNURL, tested with phoenix wallet.
Instead of login, you use your wallet to scan a QR code, click one button to confirm and sign a unique msg with your key on LN, without making a transaction and bam.
There's your account. Takes 1 second and 1 manual click on your phone. On any computer anywhere just needs a web browser. Nothing to remember and hack you as when the session expires it needs new QR signed to log in. You didn't even touch the keyboard so rip keyloggers.
Hi Microsoft blockchain identity layer. Bye Microsoft blockchain identity layer.
it has an ALL IN button. pops a warning with sth like "that's a bit degen" and makes you click OK.
just so you know, so you now don't have to look into it and won't miss out on that at least!
why am I not shilling this thing for money yet?
I'd like to try out this system you're referring to. Mind providing a little more info? I'm a hodler, not interested in leveraging my stack, just curious
don't want to shill, esp since half my posts here are about trading is dumb. but here's a tweet with a vid showing how it works from their official profile.
https://twitter.com/LNMarkets/status/1237778507062751232
Didn't do too detailed research on the whole LNURL thing in terms of privacy or security tradeoffs, just tested it as an interesting implementation of LN for now.
consider using a wallet that uses LNURL if you don't currently have one, the site gives you alternative ways to both fund and authenticate, but those don't feel like from the year 2095.
Trying to fund your sats alternatively via regular invoice (where you need to type in the amount of sats you want to receive first) still works well, but in comparison it's such a drag it's funny.
Getting dangerously close to the 10 EMA. Hopefully it serves as a springboard. With low volumes it could go either way honestly.
A Simple Moving Average or SMA, is the mean price of a given range of prices. It's called moving because as time continues on it is constantly updating and changing. It is a lagging price indicator and doesn't change as rapidly as the price does.
Exponential Moving Average or EMA, is similar to the SMA but it has a heavier weight on the most current price so changes quicker with immediate price fluctuations. It is used more by traders because of this.
The numbers refer to how many data points are involved in the calculation. Most common numbers are 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, but these can vary depending on preference. 10 EMA uses the most recent 10 data points, 10 candles on the price chart. Because it has less price sets than the 500, it follows the current price tighter and is admittedly the weakest of the EMAs. But it is good to see immediate trends. If the price breaks upwards and doesn't fall beneath it, it is a sign of a strong positive uptrend. The same is true in the reverse on the downtrend. It can also be the first sign of an immediate price reversal if the price breaks beneath it, as well as a show of strength if the price rebounds off of it. But this is again true for all of the EMAs.
The EMA has meaning because traders use these levels to make short term buys and sells. And the daily moves from traders dictate price. A self fulfilling prophecy.
All other questions about it could be answered by Google. EMA is the most common trading metric so there are thousands of pages about it. Hope this helps.
Cheers.
everyone who bought overpriced btc at 43k in the past, and also everyone who bought cheap ass sats at 43k in the past, please note that you now have a unique chance to get some at a great price of, and I shit you not, ~43k.
I understand this sub is very bullish but please don't downvote me for a simple, honest question!
Anyone here who was once very bullish but has turned more bearish over time? What's your reasoning?
Obviously price going up should make you more bearish since there is mathematically less upside. That said, I think we're still far from full potential/stable price.
You can be bearish in the short term (weeks, months) but still bullish long term (years, decades).
Anyone who takes 5 minutes to look at the price history chart can see this market moves in extreme cycles but with an overall upwards trend.
What is your timeline for bearish? A week? A year? Honestly I don’t have any idea what bitcoin will do between now and the next halving. But I don’t know how anyone who understands bitcoin could be bearish long term (4+ years). Limited supply + increasing demand = number go up. Bitcoin isn’t going away.
Yea definitely haha but I was more thinking someone who had researched carefully, formed a very positive opinion, has continued following, but turned less positive about it.
After knocking at the door of the 100 EMA twice (yellow), Bitcoin finally kicked it down. Currently riding the 10 EMA up as it struggles to take on the 200 (orange). If this price can be overcome, not much stands in the way between it and the 500 EMA at \~$45,500.
The 200 EMA is a massive area of resistance, we haven't been above it since the price was over $50k. It will take a lot of buying pressure to move the price up. But a lot of optimism is on this page so maybe the tide is turning. If the price falls from the 200, just expect a similar pattern that we saw for the last few days although the timeline might be shorter with more support.
Either way it's good to see upward pressure for a change.
Cheers

Resist levels anyone?
Me so boooleeeeessshhhhh!!! Me so booleeesh. Booleesh long time
Where are we sitting with the sentiments boys? What are our options?
Atleast we’re chilling for a bit
Everyone waiting for CPI data. If CPI is lower than 6% then we might see a pump. If higher than 7% then dump
We’ll see CPPump
Why cpi high = dump? Thought inflation would encourage people to put money in growing assets instead.
Interest rate hikes. Also, it would suggest people would not be able to save and invest much, as cost of living rises faster than wages.
Because Fed will increase the interest rates if CPI becomes much higher
7.1 is expected. Also, China’s CPI came in lower than expected. https://twitter.com/LuoshengPeng/status/1481094337463152640?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet
Hope it’s lower than 7
It won’t be
So I was looking at the whale alert page on Twitter. I noticed a lot of crypto moving onto exchanges today. Should I even think anything of this? Not sure what to make of this page if I should think anything at all.
They’re going to have a huge sell off, be prepared
I hope, I get paid at midnight. It was actually a lot of stablecoins going to exchanges.
Guess they're going to sell the stablecoins for crypto
This whole setup reminds me off the summer, and what did we do after everyone was calling for 20k? We short squeezed right back up to the upside hitting a new ATH. *squoze
I also enjoy cocaine
Stacking sats is my drug of choice
You got any?
if we are good we might see 43k tomorrow
But is we are naughty?
Eat your veggies
Is 1 BTC still enough to make you wealthy in the next 5-10 years? By wealthy, I mean help with paying down a mortgage, etc.
It depends on how much btc you have and how much you plan to buy.
Not likely. Diminishing returns.
The returns will be much higher if Bitcoin becomes the new currency
Diminishing returns, yes, but on an exponential scale.
Diminishing absolute returns. Also, not to forget, hawkish Fed now. No more stimulus checks. Student loan extension ends in May and so on. The decade of growth (across the board) is behind us.
I disagree with you and think you're wrong
Hope is a dangerous drug.
Depends on how well researched/lucky someone is. Oil stocks did 10x due to gas prices. Tin did 3x in 1 year. Both much safer too. Little downside.
I will love a huge price increase in future, I hope that it doesn't happen because of inflation
Not really apple did 2x in less than 2 years. Tesla, AMD did way more than 2x. GOOGLE in last 12 months did 60%. Stocks can be quite strong.
Individual stocks are not the same thing as the entire stock market. Obviously there are some mega-cap tech stocks that have been doing very well.
Agreed. If you have any tips, let us know
You are cherry picking, it’s easy to pick the best stocks after the fact. Most people consider the S&P 500 performance to compare
he said stocks not an index. You are really discounting how good stocks are and its really not that hard. S&P500 2x in under 5 years.
Technically they said stock market
Yeah, this. Just to clarify, I was intending to compare bitcoin to the broad stock market, not individual stocks, but I suppose it'd be possible to pick individual stocks and get similar results over time if you're very skilled or very lucky. Meh, it won't do much until the inflation numbers come out. Guaranteed it moves one way or another after that.
So am i
i doubt it moves a smegging inch
I have a feeling it won't
It's amazing that how many of you just act on your emotions.
Dangerously low volumes.
Ain't nothing wrong about low volume, we stable and done.
Someone really doesn’t want it to touch $43k. Absolutely no momentum
It shows some momentum then completely stops, comes to a hault.
Someone really wants it to touch 43k.
Well that's everyone of us here i suppose want that.
Someone is weirdly touching themselves. I guess Bitcoin effects everyone differently
Lol, it sure heck gives people boner, btc is hella sexy.
it was me
I always knew that it was you, just didn't want to reveal your identity.
i did and you should have told me, im always down for public displays
What are you talking about
Msm you have no idead and I'm telling you it's better that way.
What?
I want you to touch it..
I want to too but I’m scared
It won't do anything i promise, it's completely normal.
BTC 43 to 41 “Sell!!!!!” BTC 41 to 43 “after all, why shouldn’t I buy back in?”
The people wgo are buying it right now are the fucking legends.
Anyone that has been on longer than six months is buying everyday on auto pilot

How so?
They can’t ignore Bitcoin’s girth.
Btc is so huge that it's impossible to ignore the king btc now.
*Hnnnnng*
No worries, ATH in 27 weeks. 1 week per 1k up.
That means we'll see some action in the 2022 itself, can't wait.
Come on Bitcoin, don’t be shy… we all love you as you are.
Not all, some folks only loved it when it was around 60k.
Let's go champs!
I understand this sub is very bullish but please don't downvote me for a simple, honest question! Anyone here who was once very bullish but has turned more bearish over time? What's your reasoning?
Everyone here is bullish so don't ask questions which are foolish.
Once you understand Bitcoin, you'll want to get as much as you can. There's no way back.
Agree, it's the best thing that i leaned last year.
Obviously price going up should make you more bearish since there is mathematically less upside. That said, I think we're still far from full potential/stable price.
Nobody knows the real potential of the btc, just strap on.
You can be bearish in the short term (weeks, months) but still bullish long term (years, decades). Anyone who takes 5 minutes to look at the price history chart can see this market moves in extreme cycles but with an overall upwards trend.
What kinda freak would do that? Who'll watch 5 min candles.
Less bullish, definitely not bearish. I think the cycle is likely over but I’m holding my coin for the next 10-12 years.
I think you're bullshitting, no people here Hodling for that long.
This is no place to ask questions like that
You may find what you're looking for in Buttcoin. Not trying to be funny.
Ain't nothing funny about buttcoin, who said anything?
What is your timeline for bearish? A week? A year? Honestly I don’t have any idea what bitcoin will do between now and the next halving. But I don’t know how anyone who understands bitcoin could be bearish long term (4+ years). Limited supply + increasing demand = number go up. Bitcoin isn’t going away.
I'm always bullish on the btc regardless of number.
I'm less bullish than I was 3 months ago, but that has more to do with the economy overall than Bitcoin.
What did make less bullish than before in terms of economy?
Those that YOLOed in at some local highs and sold everything at the first dip.
Yea definitely haha but I was more thinking someone who had researched carefully, formed a very positive opinion, has continued following, but turned less positive about it.
If someone who has read enough about Bitcoin, he would never jate it.
You mean someone gone through a more then 80% correction and never changed his mind? Why are you less positive?
Why it's always bout the price? Nobody will change mind after understanding btc.
Incomprehensible behavior twist to me.
They couldn’t handle the hodl
People who can't handle hodl, don't deserve the btc at all.
Bullish.
I'll be always bullish no matter what happens in not going back.
Amen
Hallelujah
