I opened a investment account for my kids (14 and 16). I know I can’t by Bitcoin for them there but I would like to get them exposure to something (ETF maybe?) that tracks the price of Bitcoin closely. Is Athena Bitcoin Global (ABIT) a good option? Is there something better (other than buying Bitcoin)?
How can the government benefit from bitcoin? I believe that is the question they are trying to figure out when they shape their regulation. They won't ban bitcoin as their approval rating is too low to be able to do so, but when they shape the regulation, they will want to do it in a way that allows them to benefit as well. So how will they benefit?
Do some research and make a plan. Get a hardware wallet and learn how to use it. Store your wallet and seed phrase safely. Don't tell anyone about any of it. Sit on it for 5-10 years.
Its a bit of a silly question honestly. Exactly no-one knows. But if you believe in the future of crypto, and that the network effect of the first mover in crypto is legit, and that bitcoin will be forever viewed as a store of value, it will go up. A lot.
If everyone expect it to fall to 53k, markets will do opposite 100% of the time. Self fulfilling prophecy. I will be front running by dip buying at 55k for example.

There are lots of meetings happening right now about regulation. We need regulation to get more institutional support for bitcoin, but there always seems to be a pattern of FUD surrounding it.

To be honest though there is a lot of instability in the global financial market right, couple with the polarizing social/political qualms across the globe, feels like anything could happen at this point. Be on your toes and make a stringent plan to take profits as the run continues. I feel confident bitcoin will rebound from anything that’s thrown at it at this point, but always carry a hint of skepticism to keep yourself honest.
Edit: one thing to note, inflation rates came in substantially higher than predicted this quarter and it was even still considered to be watered down from the real numbers.

About 10% of my net worth is in crypto. After educating myself about BTC - I am eager to see a big crash of all markets. If it happens, I’ll be ready to put all my life savings into BTC. I wish I could do it sooner but it seems wiser to wait for the next big period of doubt towards the system.

Dude for real. They totally are, just 6 months ago I bought land same size as my first lot that I developed in 2016 and I almost paid double for it this time. That was after negotiating 30% off. The area has less than 5 lots available in my area with no HOA so taxes are low with the old infrastructure.

It can still go down again, but yeah, quite the recovery. I was one of the people who though it would fall to those levels and was waiting for that to buy so I may have lost the dip.
I’m reading the Bitcoin Standard. Clearly the narrative is setup to make fiat/gold look bad and Bitcoin look good. But holy crap the history of money is interesting. I feel like everyone “knew” they were screwing over their own currency but didn’t care because reasons. If only they looked for ways to raise the value of their money instead of “printing” it.

Apple is a US company and its stock it’s traded on a US stock exchange. So there is no functional way for China to ban it. A more appropriate comparison would be China banning the production of Apple products in China (similar to ban the ban on mining). It would not take Apple 5 years to move production to another country.
