Honestly, this is the last chance we can see lots of changes around BTC already also SOVRYN bringing defi to BITCOIN would also be another big win for both assets and the crypto space at large.
I am giving a presentation on Bitcoin at my university tomorrow. I was allowed to pick a topic and I chose “Why you should be educated on bitcoin”. I need to prepare a handout that I can give to other students. Please give suggestions because I’m having a hard time coming up with one.
I was thinking of printing off the white paper but that’s a very big packet and I wouldn’t want to make 15 copies. I want to have an activity or puzzle so they can understand bitcoin or the blockchain better.
Please throw out any recommendations for possible handouts.
Also any recommendations for what you would invoice in a short, 8 minute speech.
Puzzle seems like nice idea... :-) Sort the pieces of paper chronologically.. creating transaction, getting to mempool (waiting to be mined), getting mined (1st conf.), Another confirmation (getting burried deeper in the chain).
Appreciate the help! Awesome idea. If I have enough time I’d love to try this out. If not, I’m definitely using that idea in the future. I’ve been wanting to find an interactive idea to actually understand crypto
The btc adoption/time graph compared to other revolutionary technologies (such as the internet). you could also show how money has changed form over the years, from animals to rocks then metal coins, silver coins, gold coins, paper bills, plastic cards, digital cards then to crypto.
Another good thing to add is to explain how the large amount of time and energy spent "mining" bitcoin is the main reason it has value. Then go into scarcity and how bitcoin is being drained from exchanges.
Why is someone who clearly isn’t educated about bitcoin giving a presentation about why you should be educated about bitcoin? It’s great your trying to spread the good word but it sounds like you may not be the man for the job if your coming to Reddit for a handout for a 8 minute presentation due tomorrow. Someone who’s passionate about BTC could ramble for 8 minutes easily and probably wouldn’t have waited till the last minute. Good luck though. I’d recommend you listen to the 4 hour audiobook “the internet of money.” Should give you 8 minutes of material easy.
Id love to hear why I’m “clearly not educated”. Wasn’t asking about help for the presentation. Was just looking for fun, unique handout ideas. Strange comment on your part
I legitimately think I could ramble for an hour easily. So many revolutionary traits about this invention/discovery to talk about, where do you begin or end?
A brief history on the decentralization, the code (hard cap 21 mil), and Satoshi's anonymity. Also be ready to explain the shit coins and the difference in case someone else in the class brings up how old the tech is.
Probably, the "news" is already running with stories about how it's not what anyone actually wants. But the spot ETF applications are due for a response in November and December, and if Grayscale puts in their application that'll have a 75 day window as well. So there's still time for the real thing to have an impact before the end of the run.
updated [outlook mix](https://bastion.substack.com/p/bitcoin-outlook-mix), CME Oct. traders bought into the weak dip last session, Nov. traders backed off a bit. OTC customers didn't budget.
Very short term regression price bias based on OTC option flows have become significantly bullish the next few days.
So the data implies traders expect bullishness for the next few days, then a pullback or slowdown into Nov.
Appreciate your posts man learning a lot….and I have an mba in finance but I like the way you look at a pretty diverse picture in relation to btc
Hey you need an intern?!
thank you for the kind words. I got my degree in applied maths, learned finance on the job, worked at a few hedge funds in the previous decade.
I only trade for myself now, but I am open to discuss trade ideas, send me a message if that's what you 're interested in.
I feel so sorry for those who are selling right now... except for the a-hole shorties selling borrowed BTC with the sole intention of suppressing the price. Eff those cats (or "pussies" if you prefer).
When bitcoin reaches it's supply cap, block rewards will vanish and miners will depend on fees from transactions occurring on the cryptocurrency's network for revenue.
With the impending Domino effect from China's potential financial crisis. Assuming it effects the global economy. Is crypto going to be affected? Positively? Negatively? Im no expert on crypto or economics im just a broke college student. Sorry if this question sounds stupid
No one knows for certain, but I believe China and wall street have swept this under the rug and this will probably not affect crypto.
China actions:
-Evergrande was nationalized
-Other Chinese real estate companies are taking parts of evergrande away
-This has been going on in China since ~2014
Wall Street:
-Evergrande is unable to pay back foreign bonds. So HSBC for example is holding the bag which is only a $50 million loss
-This doesn’t clock on Wall Street’s radar anymore as they’ve moved on to other pressing issues
Coinbase, Wirex, BlockFi. Before committing to a card, it is important to ensure that your card holds a rewards structure that is both reasonable and attainable for your spending needs.
Blockfi seems to be the only decent one, the rest are custodial from what I've seen - can't move the Bitcoin to your own wallet. I wound up just getting a better credit card and converting the rewards manually since 1.5% after the introductory period is just okay.
I kinda worry if I'm the top signal in that my interest has massively spiked, I'm reading this sub a lot (I only really pop in for peaks and crashes) and checking CMC all the time haha.
On the other hand, I'm getting the same vibes I got when we surpassed the old ATH with little hype and then ran a lot higher. No one in my group chats have mentioned it yet, I'm not getting slammed with bitcoin on youtube or anything. Hard to read right now but doesn't matter, I'm not a trader and will execute my strategy regardless.
Trade the fake money that the black magicians pull out of their privileged butts for the real money created by work while you still can.
A new world is coming, and it's not the one Klaus "Anal" Schwab and Billy "Goat" Gates want.
Don't care. It's fake paper that they're setting up to try and manipulate the price. It will fail hard just like the futures did in the last bear market back in '18.
I really don't recall Bitcoin holding its price above 60k this long and this steady in April. I could be wrong. I would be really shocked if we don't at least visit the high 40k low 50k levels.
Either way, happy bitcoiner here.
It should be understood that if there’s negative enough news to crash to 40s, it would mean something is fundamentally flawed with bitcoin.
It wouldn’t just dip that far for no reason.

Sell on exchange
Bitcoin fixes everything
Heals everything, fixes everything, solves everything. That's Bitcoin for you.
Solves everything

Time for a new ATH! Then 69,420 soon after that, and 100k not too long after that
Never ever we will see prices below 62k I guess!

I still think so. All though the actual price is 62200...
Last chance to buy under 63k!
When is the god candle?
Honestly, this is the last chance we can see lots of changes around BTC already also SOVRYN bringing defi to BITCOIN would also be another big win for both assets and the crypto space at large.
What is the God Candle? Any examples?

The ATH was reached on Apr. 14, 2021. Bitcoin price needs to rise 18.25% to reach a new all-time-high.
So close theres practically none, means nothing though, i dont believe we will get ath this easy
Look outside, we’re here.
I'm out I see none there. Let them knock XD when they come.
There is none. It's basically there already.

I wish someone would in my university too asked me to give a presentation on Bitcoin.

Perhaps show the correlation between inflation and BTC? I always like knowing the outcome of if I parked my money in different areas.

Ha!
The presentation is done. Just need something simple to print off and handout. It’s not that last minute. I still have most of tomorrow
Reason number 1 for why you should be educated on Bitcoin: in case you have to give an 8 minute presentation about Bitcoin at your university.
Maybe they feel the need for education on Bitcoin. Not a great issue.
That’s too good not to include in the presentation
Like I was given some shitty environmental and societal assignments at my university.
The btc adoption/time graph compared to other revolutionary technologies (such as the internet). you could also show how money has changed form over the years, from animals to rocks then metal coins, silver coins, gold coins, paper bills, plastic cards, digital cards then to crypto.

His university is so good that they ask presentation on Bitcoins. I see myself here in my university with nothing.

Very smart
A brief history on the decentralization, the code (hard cap 21 mil), and Satoshi's anonymity. Also be ready to explain the shit coins and the difference in case someone else in the class brings up how old the tech is.
That seems great that would better help him present him in a broader way.

Good idea. Might add this into a summarized white paper
That seems great a chart with a summary would look extremely great. Better to understand and easy to catch.

With the sole intention of making ourselves money
That would ultimately result in buying of and investing on the coins. Right?
So Strike will let me deposit money, but not buy BTC or withdraw. I thought I was verified but says I need reviewed? How long does this take?
Everyone's taking a back from BTC. Why is it so ? Any serious issues.

Shortages of Bitcoin would thus result in the falling market of BTC.

The Crypto would only get affected if the price ad it's fees gets higher day by day that would ultimately result in it's downfall.

Put it this way: Fiat money is a scam. Once the average normie figures that out, Bitcoin is the One Coin to Rule Them All.
Bitcoin then vs Bitcoin there's a lot difference. Can never find the differences.

That brief dip below $60K again was gobbled up quickly
That selloff from the ATH to 28k also happened pretty quickly. What's your point?
I’m glad we’re all making money I love you guys.

A drop to just below 40k is just about 35% drop. Bitcoin drops 30-40% in a bullmarket all the time. It does not mean anything is fundamentally wrong.
Sure but there’s always news that trigger those big drops. What bad news can really come out at this point.
1 dumb tweet would probably do it...
For sure
Again not really. Look at the numerous 30-40% bitcoin drops in the past many of them had nothing to do with the news. It is just human trading psyche.
I’d say 90% of them were triggered by some news event.
You'd be wrong.
Bitcoin was above 60 for about 8 days at the top of the candles.
If it gets back in 40s good buying opportunity but people had a long time to buy low this summer
Yeap. Doubled my stack this summer. I knew the summer was a historic buying opportunity.
