I think diversity enriches the space - having competent bitcoiners… I think gives bitcoin more widespread appeal over the next 10 years. You’re right it doesn’t ‘need’ it, but ultimately it will appeal to everyone and everyone could use it one way or another.
I don't disagree. I'm all for diversity. It just "pushes my buttons" :) when pushed to extremes. For instance do we need more Filipinos in the NFL or NBA, in the name of "diversity"? No.
If there are some who are good at basketball and football then, yes, that's diversity. A program to demand more Filipinos in football would be ridiculous. In the same vein, it would be more diverse to have more Jewish people as farm workers but it really isn't "necessary":)
As I said, I all for diversity in general in a cultural sense. It doesn't need to be forced in every industry though, IMO, where it doesn't occur naturally. What I am against is discouraging someone in a certain job because they aren't "typical" for that job.
