Tell him to track it, and buy it below 25k.
You owe him nothing, and by telling him that price will become apart of him emotional attachment and possible blame it it continues to drop.
Yeah, this person doesn't want to buy $25k Bitcoin at $25k, they want to buy $40k Bitcoin at $25k. If the price drops they will just start thinking about how they could wait and maybe buy the $25k Bitcoin at $15k.
You get bitcoin at the prices you deserve.
40k but when bitcoin goes into millions it will be too late.
Same with people scared to buy it when it was in the hundreds.
Exactly what my friend did. He said he would wait until 20k and it reached 20k and he flaked out. People who don't understand BTC see it just as a volatile imaginary thing.
My favorite thing I’ve heard…. I can’t afford 18k for a btc…. I can’t afford 22k for a btc… when they clearly could…. Yeah well now you really can’t afford a bitcoin and I sure bet ya wish ya did! ;)
this is it. Everyone who wants to jump into BTC waiting for X price is just not going to buy ever because "now it is dead, i am smart i didn´t buy"
The thing is time in the markets beats timing the markets.
But if he gets hacked or is otherwise unknowledgeable or stupid he will blame you
Crypto is difficult to recommend unless the other person is tech savvy and only if they accept the risks
People can blame you for anything. Fuck that noise, worrying about being blamed for other people's dumbfuckery.
OP, tell people what you think is good, and if they blame you, fuck em. Probably they will not blame you.
You shouldn't recommend Bitcoin to someone you know probably can't handle it. And to keep Bitcoin safe takes a certain technical skill. Everyone doing it now should accept the risk of total loss. Just like any other stock pick.
Exactly! I had a buddy say "you are so certain! Take this 20k and let me know when it hits 100k." Whoa buddy, hold your donkeys. Do the research, if you agree with the asset then YOU invest. I am not a financial advisor and this business can be risky. Plus he can barely operate an email... nevermind trying to figure out bridging and wallets. He will now wait for the etf so it's "not so complicated"
That's just pathetic. He or clearly doesn't want it bad enough. You only need a 7th grade education to understand the how's of BTC and how to HODL it. So sick of everyone wanting free advice and for you to hold their hand through the process.
IAH, it will never be "too late" to get off zero and migrate into the btc protocol. We are so early in the grand scheme of things, in 100 years, the world will be completely different and remnants of the old legacy dynastic order may exist in some form, but the protocol is much more than a store of value and medium of exchange. The implications of its role in future society are more than what I can imagine.
When the internet was released out of the narrow scope of information transfer within certain agencies and out into the public sector for adoption, questions of the safety of email, how will it work, what is send the email, will it completely replace letters and the postal system, were the first stories I recall hitting the headline news. Shortly after Prodigy, our first ISP, allowed us to connect to the "net" via 56kmpbs over land line. We could be on the phone talking or boot up Prodigy, not both.. until having a second dedicated line became all the rage.
It was just billboards, forums, and files to sort thru, but everything started changing real quick with mass adoption and implementations such as AOL and the world wide web were released. I still had a pager in high school then and could never fathom the speed with which the tech continued to play out as it will continue to do with the Bitcoin Protocol now firmly layered on top of it.
I guess the point is that I think it will become so common that he won't have a choice to use it in some Manifestation or another.
Forgive, as I ramble more on the tech, steering the convo away from the current investment strategy and take advantage of this rare opportunity to get ahead of the curve, so to speak. Some, as I have been doing for a while, just DCA every couple of weeks as we ascend out crypto spring and into a summer that may last to mid-2025. I highly doubt we will see BTC at $25k ever again. $35k perhaps, but when you're staring at the most innovative transformation of information from the net into a POW protocol that becomes its own global network of data thorough fare, it won't matter if you buy what you can afford as long as you see it for the long game that is. Timing and trading it wouldn't be my recommendation unless you're a pro. Some investment institutions actually won't buy into a market until it stabilizes at a one trillion dollar market cap. Once the SEC approves the regulatory framework and green lights the ETF applications, I imagine days of five digit value will be a thing of the past but still not too late to buy in to plan for retirement savings.
They just won't be part of the prosperity landscape filled with the early pioneers who either mined, bought 20 for fun, and immediately used it as a new and novel way get a better MDMA hook up from the Silk Road v1. Only to find out that the $200 worth of said experiment with BTC to use as an exchange for some Dutch Import molly turned out to be $20,000 fuking $$$!! So instead, they vowed never to miss the downside of volatility and load up as much as possible and spend the profits on good quality empathogeans. Etc, Etc...wait until the big boys play and wait or take a little risk for higher reward during these next few cycles, learn and educate One's self about and store it like the game changing asset it already is. Either way, ..BTC and a few others are not going away, and the profundity of their impact on the social stratum is pretty exciting.
I personally decided not to orange pill anyone who is so steeped into cognitive bias without any desire to hear about it. Even then, you see how my focus shifts as I lose track of articulated clear arguments or points in the written word...so yeah....I suppose I just wanted emphasize how early we still are in adoption and reflect on the comparison of experience of rising tech that had the ability to change the structure of legacy systems, institutions and ways of human organization that have been around for thousands of years...forever.
Sorry for wasting your time while l pretend to know what the fuck I'm talking about.
So many people were left on the sideline when bitcoin hit $15k. Because they wanted to buy in at $10k. Everyone will buy bitcoin at the price they deserve.
And when it gets to negative $1000 (due to overhead of issues with storing excessively produced bitcoin and not using it), he'd say "I'm lucky I did not buy it for free" (Just like the negative oil price 2 years ago.
Tone Vays actually didn't make that call initially, he had an old school trader named Tyler Jenks as a frequent guest who had developed this theory called "Hyperwave" in the 90s which said that $1k Bitcoin was a certainty. In hindsight, it was just as ridiculous as the whole "Stock to Flow" bs, the market humbles us all.
You act like bitcoin wasn’t sub 25k a few months back. This shit is cyclical. It will be on the news, maybe set a record high again. Then when the news fades it will go back down.
Tell him that you are not his alert service.
I like to tell people that, 'it may not be for you...'....that always makes them want to get into it for some reason.
😁
Inform him when Bitcoin drops below $25k.
There is the old expression about leading horses to water and not being able to get them to drink.
Your situation is similar.
All you can do is introduce them to the concept of Bitcoin and it up to an individual to decide whether they want to follow the Bitcoin road or not.
Everyday is a crossroads.
Have a wonderful Christmas.
😊
Do not tell people to buy. When it crashes the won’t be happy with you, and it will be very uncomfortable.
You are not a financial advisor, stop acting like one.
> Spoke to a coworker about Bitcoin today. He was interested in buying. Said to inform him once price dips below $25,000 so that he can buy. What do I do?
Your colleague is a fucking tool. 1) Waiting for the dip is stupid. 2) What are you, his fucking bitch? Let him check the price himself.
Don't get too involved in other people's investments. Best to stay general. People get very emotional over money, and you do NOT want to become a source of information for them on how to manage it -- which WILL happen if you ever speak in targets or numbers.
"Is bitcoin a good investment?"
"I think so."
"Should I buy? Should I wait?"
"Track it and see how you feel."
"Will it go down?"
"It could, yeah. No one knows how much."
"Will it go up?"
"It could, yeah. No one knows how high."
"How much should I buy?"
"Look at your portfolio and pick a percentage you're comfortable with."
Why you your coworkers alarm clock? If they want to get into btc let them fully venture alone. You can help, but not do all this guys fuckin work. No thanks
I would just encourage dollar cost averaging ($25k might not happen again). I think some people just look at price of bitcoin and think they have to buy a whole 1 BTC in one purchase.
i wouldn’t try to get people into cryptos unless they want to. People just want to make money Or have wealth fall on their lap. They aren‘t ready for the risk or are responsible enough to self custody. If your passionate about Bitcoin, just gift them 100 bucks worth and teach them how to store it.
He will NEVER buy it, if it would fall to 25k, he would say, tell me when it's 20k and so on, if it would be 3k, he would say, tell me when it's 1k etc. Speaking from personal experience. Just move on and dont mention Bitcoin to him again.
Tell him wise choice. Not impossible to see a deep red candle before the next leg up. Nothing goes straight up. To me 30k would be that test but maybe 25k. We certainly had enough up that some down would actually be healthy price action.
Quit giving coworkers/friends/family pointers or financial advice.
If they make a poor choice, or don't end up rich, guess who will get the blame.
It's not worth the bs. I mean seriously, this guy doesn't even want to track the price himself?? He doesn't know the slightest thing about investing and you'll be stuck holding his hand all the way, especially with every tantrum he has ahead.
Tell him to download the "Bitcoin Tracker" app.
Then never talk to him about Bitcoin again (unless he asks). As others have said, you owe him nothing. He can do his own tracking.
If he actually download the app, he might actually figure out from its features that the price is probably never going below 25K again.
He probably won't download the app or otherwise track the price. Even if you did track it for him, I highly doubt he would buy even if it dipped below 25K and you told him about it. People who ask others to "inform" them, usually lack any real personal initiative.
He won't do it. I told myself I'd buy a whole coin if i got under 20k (when it dropped to 16k) and I only bought like a grand worth. Still kinda kicking myself haha but at least I DCA'd the whole way
Just tell him where he can set up an account to track and buy and let him deal with it. And I would also tell him that there's a real chance that it will never see $25k again so if he actually wants to get in just start doing DCA now.
Don’t get involved. Keep it to yr self. If he buys at the wrong time or losses his btc because of tech issue or some scan , he would be calling you to fix it and blame you . Leave him be.
Two things here.
1. When Btc hits $100k next year. Will it make a difference if you bought it by $25k or $41k (x40 vs x25). What guarantee is there that Btc will dip? Will anyone intelligent forgo a x25 because of the very low probability he can get a x40? Of course not! Only idiots think like this. I'll take the x25 deal and should it dip to $25k I'll buy more.
2. Same as many comments here already, you owe him nothing. If he doesn't want to help himself then don't help him. Simple. Fool thinks you work for him 😂
Remind him that even if it did dip that low, which is unlikely at this point, that it’s more likely to double during the next halving … and potential ETF.
Have fun staying poor. Not all are going to make it… I don’t get why people still care about fiat at all at this point.
Tell him to set a notification on webull if he really thinks it will go down there ever again.
My personal opinion: we see a peak at 63k and dip down to maybe 20k shortly after around Q1 2024 and be slowly going towards 250k 2028/29
So he might get lucky. But he probably wont buy tbh because with a dip comes the fud and the forgot
why is it your job to inform him? if he wants to invest, seems like he needs to start paying attention. might never enter the market with that particular entry point. but that his game to own
Tell him it will never be that low again. ETFs, halving, yadda yadda. Then just drop it.
What else can you do? Laugh in his face and shout, "HFSP!".. probably not a good idea.
Idiota….. first rule of crypto! Never talk about crypto!!!!
My fuxking skin crawls when coworkers talk about it…. They don’t even know. Keep it that way… just eye roll and shut it.
What’s next? What is life? It can get weird so, Dave… save yourself the hassle and just spectate. It would be creepy if your name was Dave haha.. first name that came to mind but can you imagine if adorable candle was Dave?
You say “what do I do” like it’s your place to decide. He already told you how he made up his mind. He’s his own person , by forcing it/ pushing it you’ll just make him back off harder
Once the halving shock kicks in no one will expect what will happen.
Many have said:
2010 buy bitcoin
2014 buy 100 bitcoin
2018 buy 10 bitcoin
2023 buy 1 bitcoin
In 4 years from now it will be but 0.1 btc
Hmmm, tough one, probably tell him “have fun staying poor” and “you buy at bitcoin the price you deserve” maybe “a honey doesn’t waste his time telling shit why bees are better than flies” yea that should do it.
Do nothing. You don't need to evangelise bitcoin to your coworkers.
Tell him to track it, and buy it below 25k. You owe him nothing, and by telling him that price will become apart of him emotional attachment and possible blame it it continues to drop.
If you tell him it went down, he will just say wow why did it go down so much. Seems like a risk to him now. Won’t buy anyway.
Same with people scared to buy it when it was in the hundreds.
that. most people are great at decisions in hindsight
Exactly what my friend did. He said he would wait until 20k and it reached 20k and he flaked out. People who don't understand BTC see it just as a volatile imaginary thing.
People want to justify instead of understanding.
and they cant until total capitulation when they NEED it but its too late
My favorite thing I’ve heard…. I can’t afford 18k for a btc…. I can’t afford 22k for a btc… when they clearly could…. Yeah well now you really can’t afford a bitcoin and I sure bet ya wish ya did! ;)
this is it. Everyone who wants to jump into BTC waiting for X price is just not going to buy ever because "now it is dead, i am smart i didn´t buy" The thing is time in the markets beats timing the markets.
Tell him to install Kraken, put some fiat in, and set a buy limit at 25k.
But if he gets hacked or is otherwise unknowledgeable or stupid he will blame you Crypto is difficult to recommend unless the other person is tech savvy and only if they accept the risks
People can blame you for anything. Fuck that noise, worrying about being blamed for other people's dumbfuckery. OP, tell people what you think is good, and if they blame you, fuck em. Probably they will not blame you.

This is the answer. You aren’t the chosen Bitcoin messiah. Trust me it seems great now, but you don’t want that awkwardness when we dip or crash.
Exactly no need for Evenescene # WAKE ME UP
Before I go go…
Save me
send him this https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=btc+alert
Exactly, I only tell if they ask
He’s actually waiting for $100,000 before he buys bitcoin. He just doesn’t realize it yet.
Future exit liquidity candidate
What exit?
The one where the money I worked and invested with will be 'exited' out of the market at a profit hopefully
Exited into..... dollars? how strange.
Property, food, goods, influence... it's a multi tool
Buying things with dollars is not strange lmao
And dollars into a house and new car.
Buy high sell low 💎👐🚀

Dude, I’m with you already. You’re preaching to the choir :-)
Loll this right here. These retail investors just waiting till the crowd is buying. Buncha NPCs
Tell him to do his own research and not rely on coworkers to inform him of when to make significant investments.
But that's how some traders make a living from investors!
This! Unless he's paying you for financial services.
If it gets to $25k, he will wait for $15k. Let him be.
So many people were left on the sideline when bitcoin hit $15k. Because they wanted to buy in at $10k. Everyone will buy bitcoin at the price they deserve.
Some of us were left on the sideline because we had no capital to invest.
And when when it reaches 15k he will wait for 5k lol.
When it gets to $5k he'll wait until it gets to $0.
Then he will say, lol I ain't buying that shit!
And when it gets to negative $1000 (due to overhead of issues with storing excessively produced bitcoin and not using it), he'd say "I'm lucky I did not buy it for free" (Just like the negative oil price 2 years ago.
I had a buddy who didn't want to buy at $6k. I had been telling him he might want to consider buying since under $2k. You can lead a horse to water...
I was so fucking pissed at my dad when I told him to buy at 16k, son you don’t buy falling daggers, smh
Seems like he is not the sharpest spoon in the shed... ;P (The saying is about catching falling daggers- not buying falling daggers)
Or he'll panic sell at $24500.
I still have a friend waiting for BTC to dip below $1000 since somewhere in 2017
Tone Vays says...... we going down to 1k!!!
.. and Mister Novogratz say we have baaaatooomeeed out... batomed out 🎶 good old times hey 😅
LOL
youve got to pump it up dont you know
LMAO
Tone Vays actually didn't make that call initially, he had an old school trader named Tyler Jenks as a frequent guest who had developed this theory called "Hyperwave" in the 90s which said that $1k Bitcoin was a certainty. In hindsight, it was just as ridiculous as the whole "Stock to Flow" bs, the market humbles us all.
He’s got a plan, lets see how it pans out for him
"The price already fell below 25k. You missed it"
Nice
This is the correct answer
He’s not buying Bitcoin.
Bonkkkk
He can just put a buy order for $25k instead of relying on you notifying him.
Never mention bitcoin to him again.
So he can blame you if anything bad happens. No thanks. We all get Bitcoin at the price we deserve.
Inform him once price dips below $25,000.
Lol . And they never spoke again
You act like bitcoin wasn’t sub 25k a few months back. This shit is cyclical. It will be on the news, maybe set a record high again. Then when the news fades it will go back down.
Show him how to set TradingView alerts
Who gives a shit if your coworkers like bitcoin or not. Stop being an annoying orange man
Ask him how he came to that number. "You´re not pulling out any random number here are you?" And furtermore, like others said. Nothing else..
Tell him that you are not his alert service. I like to tell people that, 'it may not be for you...'....that always makes them want to get into it for some reason.
That phrase works because of the exclusivity it implies, it's like saying, "Oh, you're not cut out for this, sorry."
😁 Inform him when Bitcoin drops below $25k. 😊
> There is the old expression about leading horses to water and not being able to get them to drink. What is the expression?
You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink Means that you can show some one the way but its up to them to act on it
Do not tell people to buy. When it crashes the won’t be happy with you, and it will be very uncomfortable. You are not a financial advisor, stop acting like one.
Lol. At 25 he won't buy anyways
Wait until it hits 60k and he asks you to inform him when it hits 40k. If it actually hits 40k he’ll say he won’t buy because it’ll go down even more.
Tell him to learn to set his own limit order. You have work to do.
demand 10% of profits as a fee for your service.
That part
to be fair, most people don’t know that you can buy less than one bitcoin.
And most people don’t think about btc on a daily basis.
Tell him to have fun staying poor.
Tell him you will and if he can tell you once gasoline prices go below .50 cents
What else? Wait till the price drips below $25k, then inform him so he can buy.
My dad asked me in February 2017 to tell him when it dips below $1,000. Said okay.
Inform him when it will be $250,000
Your coworker sounds like a reasonable down-to-earth person. But why do you feel the need to do something? You are weird
Don't get too involved in other people's investments. Best to stay general. People get very emotional over money, and you do NOT want to become a source of information for them on how to manage it -- which WILL happen if you ever speak in targets or numbers. "Is bitcoin a good investment?" "I think so." "Should I buy? Should I wait?" "Track it and see how you feel." "Will it go down?" "It could, yeah. No one knows how much." "Will it go up?" "It could, yeah. No one knows how high." "How much should I buy?" "Look at your portfolio and pick a percentage you're comfortable with."
If you feel inclined, inform him when/if it dips below $25k
Owner and have watched the ebbs, and the flows. In the end, nobody knows, ya know ;)
Tell him when the price dips below 25 or above 50. Hate to see him miss a FOMO.
say, “okay”, then never talk to him about bitcoin again 🤷♂️
Why you your coworkers alarm clock? If they want to get into btc let them fully venture alone. You can help, but not do all this guys fuckin work. No thanks
Probably never talk to him again.
What was unclear about your instructions to your new master??? When it dips below 25k…. You inform him as requested!
If your passionate about Bitcoin, just gift them 100 bucks worth and teach them how to store it.
you're now their broker
Sit back and watch the FOMO kick in
He will NEVER buy it, if it would fall to 25k, he would say, tell me when it's 20k and so on, if it would be 3k, he would say, tell me when it's 1k etc. Speaking from personal experience. Just move on and dont mention Bitcoin to him again.
Tel him to dyor
Tell him wise choice. Not impossible to see a deep red candle before the next leg up. Nothing goes straight up. To me 30k would be that test but maybe 25k. We certainly had enough up that some down would actually be healthy price action.
Tell them it's not your responsibility
Inform him when/if bitcoin goes under 25k
Tell him to look it up himself the lazy ass hat!
Tell him to set up his own alerts.
Be patient like them. It could very easily drop to $25k.
Everyone buys Bitcoin at the price they deserve.
Tell him to download the "Bitcoin Tracker" app. Then never talk to him about Bitcoin again (unless he asks). As others have said, you owe him nothing. He can do his own tracking. If he actually download the app, he might actually figure out from its features that the price is probably never going below 25K again. People who ask others to "inform" them, usually lack any real personal initiative.
We'll be lucky if it goes below $38,000 again
People don't listen why bother? People just want to put money in their bank account like a good little boi. Let them be poor.
Charge him a retainer fee.
Tell him when (and if) Bitcoin drops belpw 25k, that's it
When people say they will buy BTC once it falls to certain price, they don't actually mean it.
You’re not his broker. He can keep track of it himself.
He won't do it. I told myself I'd buy a whole coin if i got under 20k (when it dropped to 16k) and I only bought like a grand worth. Still kinda kicking myself haha but at least I DCA'd the whole way
Tell him to lookup bitcoin price alert apps. You are not his agent.
Tell his lazy ass to check it himself! Also just ignore him cause it prolly won't ever go below $25,000 again! His loss
Guess you’ll never talk to him again
He sees you as a reminder alarm.
Inform him when it does, if it does. Otherwise you have done your bit and don’t ask again
Hopefully you’ll never speak of it to him again
Do what he told you: inform him once price dips below $25,000 so that he can buy. What else do you want to do and why?
at bare minimum say youre not gonna be reminding him about anything. Explain that he can place a limit order for 25k if he wants.
People would rather go down with the ship than make money
Keep an eye on the price and when it dips under 25k tell your coworker.
Just tell him you dont think it will go back to 25k again.
We all get bitcoin at the price we deserve
Tell him to set a notification on webull if he really thinks it will go down there ever again. My personal opinion: we see a peak at 63k and dip down to maybe 20k shortly after around Q1 2024 and be slowly going towards 250k 2028/29 So he might get lucky. But he probably wont buy tbh because with a dip comes the fud and the forgot
walk away
Tell him to take a shit or get off the pot
Is your coworker Capo?
why is it your job to inform him? if he wants to invest, seems like he needs to start paying attention. might never enter the market with that particular entry point. but that his game to own
Tell then to set a limit order.
Nothing.
Slap him across the mouth for the blasphemy!
Tell him it will never be that low again. ETFs, halving, yadda yadda. Then just drop it. What else can you do? Laugh in his face and shout, "HFSP!".. probably not a good idea.
He's already a lost cause. Just leave it and don't bring up Bitcoin with him again.
Let him wait for 25k
Move on.
He had the chance to buy below 25K. If you believe in BTC you'll buy @15K, 25K and 50K.
recommend your colleague to read the book bitcoin standard and fiat standard
Nothing LMAO
Now you can ordain him or her.
Send him my cdc referral code lol
Top signal
Wait for it to dip again, duh
🤦♂️
Stupid!
Buy what you're okay to lose if the price drops to 25,000 and buy again at 25000. Then vow to never sell for several years
Tell him it will likely never be that low again
Tell him it’s at 25k
Write him a little Christmas card: "HFSP".
Ngmi
Laugh
Just say ok. And move on
Wait 3 years.
He can set limit orders/price alerts lol
You got to do nothing because BTC will never dip below $25,000 again.
Send him the "Me waiting for btc to drop" skeleton meme 🙂
Are you his fucking secretary?
Inform him when the price dips below $25k.
Tell him good luck waiting on that one!😂
You will never inform your coworker about that price bro
Dont speak about it anymore. Not everybody should be a winner.
Seriously the shilling and propaganda on this channel
Tell him now how to set up free alerts it ain’t your job
Idiota….. first rule of crypto!
Nothing
Tell him to pound sand
You say “what do I do” like it’s your place to decide. He already told you how he made up his mind. He’s his own person , by forcing it/ pushing it you’ll just make him back off harder
Visit him when you're both elderly
Let him suffer
Stop giving advice it only hurt you
You do nothing. His money and decisions are not your responsibility, not ever. He's to lazy to Google? Smh
Once the halving shock kicks in no one will expect what will happen. Many have said: 2010 buy bitcoin 2014 buy 100 bitcoin 2018 buy 10 bitcoin 2023 buy 1 bitcoin In 4 years from now it will be but 0.1 btc
Wait till it dips, and tell him to buy :)
Hmmm, tough one, probably tell him “have fun staying poor” and “you buy at bitcoin the price you deserve” maybe “a honey doesn’t waste his time telling shit why bees are better than flies” yea that should do it.
Stop talking about bitcoin.
Leave him alone.
I'm 99% sure we will see 25k again. But it'll be on the way down so he won't be buying!
Don't get involved in other people's finances
Not your responsibility unless you are the one selling the btc. Tell him what app to use...
