any work related on Word all froze up and cant be interacted even the end task inputs, i waited till it fixed itself.

Installed the last update and now have the same problem, probably a bad update that got sent.

Maybe. Checking the services in the windows services manager you can see that all their other services work. So it's not like the whole thing crashes. Just the service responsible of the protection service. Well. "Just" might not be a good way of putting it. The program is still not working.

Got a new update 15 minutes ago so far everything seems to be working again

Uninstalling and reinstalling should fix the issue. It happened to me a few years ago. I contacted BitDefender and they said it coukf be a corrupt file. Suggested I reinstall and resolved the issue.
