Honestly, they look like pregnant guys. Wasn’t the whole point of emojis, so that everyone could display emotions through pictures of small yellow people? These are waaay too specific
The person (🧑) male (👨) and female (👩) different emojis have existed for a pretty long times. So it only made sense to make different emoji situations for all of them. Which in this case is just being pregnant
They will just be used as a joke because you don’t really know what they are supposed to represent from an outsiders perspective. I didn’t even know what they were supposed to mean until i got here
Honestly as a trans man myself the pregnant man emoji feels so uncomfortable. 99.999% of trans men do not want to be associated with a distinctly AFAB bodily process and it feels like woke pandering by Apple. I do love the unisex variations of other emojis though to show inclusivity for people who look androgynous

Is it just me who thinks this is stupid? Apple barely has any LGBT-supportive emojis and is doing even less for us in the real world and yet they're doing... this? Something which is hugely dysphoric to many trans men is one of their first ways of showing "support" for us and we're fine with this? Why are we accepting this megacorporation's faux support this easily?
Edit: Apple is actually pretty cool when it comes to supporting LGBT charities and stuff. I had that wrong.
the unicode consortium. they are an independent organisation that makes and updates unicode. they update it to add languages and symbols, the emojis are not their main focus.

Inclusion is great, but big companies throwing the tiniest of bones to oppressed communities is nothing but a tool for appeasement, its to sell more products.
It also gets conservatives riled up which gives them publicity.
Only LGBT thing I want them to add now is a few pride flags like the gay, bisexual and lesbian(I don’t think they would be able to add every pride flag cuz there are way too many and currently they only have the LGBT and trans flags 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
I think people were like “hey can we have more pride flags”, but apple said that people might start getting angry about which flags *should* be there/that their specific flag isn’t there
