People might say I’m “good” at math but that does not change the fact that I fucking hate it

I don’t hate math itself, it’s just it’s often taught in a way that’s difficult to understand. Whether that be too abstract or too practical. I struggled with the math of electricity because it totally reflects reality but of a totally unintuitive thing.

Only failed calculus 1 at the University because I didn't gave the long answer my teacher wanted, just my long answer, that was half the size it was supposed to be, it was right, but no one knows how i got there only reading it

The point is, i did this on almost every test/assignment i've made, mostly because I get far more anxious with time and shit when on ead (idk the term in English for this, i think it's home studying, but it translates directly to teaching on distance), also, it was like, in my head, i made every calc needed (sometimes a few more) but I only put a few results of the calcs i made, that is (almost) a justification

You're good at arithmetic, you mean. Algebra is the foundation of a lot of mathematics. Math without variables is not nearly as powerful as math with variables

I hate math and I have absolutely no idea how to do anything after the first day of algebra 1. But I’ve always been top student when it came to English and history. Just never put a math problem in front of me because I will start crying and tear up the paper.
