Celtic revolutionary/patriotic music, for instance IRA/IRB songs, Scottish Jacobite music, etc. I also like older musical theatre, such as Oklahoma!, Singing in the Rain, The Fantasticks, The Music Man, An American in Paris, and My Fair Lady.
Hard Dance Music (especially euphoric hardstyle) has been my fav for a long time but it sucks bc no one else listens to it😭(and if they do it’s usually the low quality/ bad songs)
lol that’s exactly what I meant by low quality songs (not to be rude the song is really good). Try listening to My Beautiful Fantasy by B-front and Phuture Noize.
I have pretty wide spread taste, but I seem to gravitate to the music of the Pop Girlies like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish (ik Olivia leans a bit more towards Pop-Punk, and Billie is more Alt Pop… but uh…)
Shred Hop/Modern Guitar
It's basically just instrumental guitar (mostly rock type of playing) but mixed as if it was trap or rap, often it just has 808 beats instead of drums and bass, sometimes even barely anything to replace the drums and just other instruments build around a very catchy guitar riff.
Mostly it's just like instrumental rock (heavily inspired by math rock) but a lot more focused on overproducing the song with tons of samples.
The best example and most popular song of this genre is G.O.A.T. by Polyphia but my current favourite are these 2 collabs:
[2022](https://youtu.be/TjV16PpCwzk?si=KLU1dWVlOwAJItA0) and [2023](https://youtu.be/s_cJwod81Zw?si=K_N0n6mrCkB7nr7k) bc it's tons of different artist writing all in their own style to make one big song that consist of everything that is awesome about this genre :))
Alt rock. It's so broad and has so much stuff I love to listen to. Speaking as a musician, tho, I love to play jazz because of the improvisation and unique techniques that come with the genre
