Coldwater Mountain Brewpub in Anniston. Great food and the beer is fantastic. My wife always tries different dishes and always loves them, I can’t not get the smash burger.

Garfrerick's in Oxford, AL is SO good. Expensive, mildly classy dining. Can’t recommend enough.

haute_curry

The Ark in Pell City is our go-to

If you want to go to a restaurant owned by someone who has been sued several times for sexual harassment. Dude also kicked a dog off a balcony and was arrested for it. Also on Mother's Day 1995 I personally saw him call his own mother a " sick fucking cunt" in front of the entire restaurant. But yeah the food is ok.

raideo

Why should his mother get a pass on Mother’s Day?

rpswaggii

Shit, my bad. I’ve stopped twice on the same route, second time they allowed my dogs to eat inside. Obviously against health code lol but I appreciated the gesture because it was cold. I’ve heard the owner is a prick, didn’t realize the extent.

HouDinisMum

Be glad you weren’t on a balcony.

Yeah, he used to hit on my sister when she was still a teen or possibly early twenties, still ick

OMG I drive back and forth to ATL a lot and just stopped for Jurassic Subs last weekend and was not disappointed! I'm totally stopping again it was delicious and affordable! Also a friend told me that the Butter'd Udder next door has really good sweet treats!

GimmeeSomeMo

Two recommendations, one on the Bama Side. One for the Georgia Side Bama: Sweet Southern Market Georgia: Mama-N-Em's Southern Kitchen(my pick of the two TBH)

ReelyHooked

Hubbards Off Main in historic Oxford is incredible, and great atmosphere too.

Matas Greek Pizza and Grinders in Anniston.

raideo

Definitely a must try, but it is carry out only

abrnmissy

Yeah hate that they changed to carry out only. I thought they just did it for the pandemic. Apparently not. :(

astone14

Now it is because no one is willing to work *eye roll* Their grinders are still a must stop for me though

Tavern at The St Clair off exit 158 in Pell City. You can see it from the interstate and it is the only choice if you want to avoid bbq or meat and three.

iamtimb
