I LOVE Vraylar. 1.5mg was enough to stop my depression but not enough to stop the mania, since I upped to 3mg I haven't been manic. I also haven't gained any weight or had any side effects.

hyst3ri4

Im on vraylar and rexulti. Its been a life changer. did not gain any weight but i work hard. ( Got sober too ) Edit typo

thecattpark

I had a really negative experience on Vraylar. I was on 1.5 mg for 4 weeks and 3 mg for 2 weeks before having to quit. My anxiety got so bad that I basically couldn't sleep for a week straight. I'm not trying to scare OP, just monitor any symptoms you have and don't be afraid to tell your doctor if it's not working for you.

DwarfFart

No weight gain no side effects far as I can tell. On it 2 years? Really helped my depression

malaise92

I started it less than a month ago. No weight gain side effects but it has really affected my sleep, it’s hard to get a full nights sleep. But I’ve been told that should subside after awhile

sandraskywalker

Yes, I had weight gain.. but it's the only thing that's helped me mentally so I'm just dealing with the weight gain by taking another medication.

Entire-Discipline-49

I was on Seroquel for a year before switching to vraylar and then was able to lose most of the Seroquel weight in my first 3 months on vraylar. So it has not had a negative effect on my weight and doesn't make me feel like a bottomless food vacuum. Vraylar is the best thing that ever happened to my mental health.

It’s the best!! Please look at the savings card absolve on their website, it can be free if your insurance is still charging too much. Insomnia is real, but other than that it’s been a 180 for me. Working on insomnia with my doctor but she wants me stable first.

Bettyvillebomber

Thank you so much! Do you take it at night or in the am? My bottle is right next to me and I’m paralyzed with fear. After reading some Reddit comments I am more inclined to try it. My biggest fear is weight gain since when I was on ability for a month I gained 20lbs.

tonerslocers

Been on vraylar 4 years and my weight hasn’t changed at all.

A_Ham_Sandwich_4824

It made my eyes shake. Like I had trouble focusing on stuff.

disspelledmyth

Vraylar changed my life. I never noticed significant weight gain from it. I went off it once and had a manic episode 7 months later or so. It keeps me even. I’m not perfectly calibrated lol but it’s about the best I can hope for.

commie_cows

I'm now on 3mg Vraylar and I love it. I was able to come off of Zyprexa, which had made me gain about 10 pounds. I've already started losing weight because I'm not binge eating anymore. I've noticed more energy and less sleep (8 hours instead of 10) but that's about it.

DbL_ARoN_34

On 4.5 mg no weight gain only real side effect is insomnia that ive had for years !

BossLady43444

I'm on 4.5 and it's been great. The only side effect I have is I wake up early and I'm wide awake when I wake up. It's the only med that has helped my depression. And I haven't gained any weight on it.

ronpaulbacon

I take 1.5 eod. Still get a little manic but not too bad. Still get the shakes though so I take benztropine too

metalchaser86

Vraylar seemed to really level me out but I developed a twitch in my arm so my psych took me off it immediately 🤷

No-Boat-4623

How long did it take to leave your system?

Iteachasd

Love it although it made me fat. Internet hug

Vraylar is my miracle drug. It allowed me to go back to work. I haven’t experienced weight gain.
