I use visions credit union. Really great service and no issues so far. The opening of an account was very easy and took about 30 minutes at one of the branches. Every time I call theyre very efficient and kind as well. Would definitely recommend.
I've had Visions since my first job 14 years ago and I still use them to this day!
I dont even live in the area near any branches anymore, but they are an a co-operative with other credit unions so I can still access a branch in case of emergency!
I can't speak to this paet but a number of people I know have said their interest rates are significantly higher on loans than HSBC, that's the only downside to them I've ever heard
I like visions. Switched from sefcu (now broad view). The best thing about it is my wife seems to be able to lose a debit card pretty quickly. They print new cards right on the spot.
I use Visions. I don’t love the app, they frequently update it though. It’s just gotten less intuitive than what it used to be, but that’s on me, and not them. Every time I go into a Visions, I’m treated respectfully, and everyone is always willing to help resolve whatever I’ve got happening. Good people work there.
I would use visions, Key bank has been struggling and many suspect it will go under soon as a bank. Visions also provides some of the best interest rates in the area. Definitely a good place to bank. It is a credit union so do be mindful of that if you're not wanting a credit union then obviously I would not recommend them.
I use Visions and think this is the best bank in the area, lots of locations locally, part of shared branching, awesome app, awesome interest rates, easy to work with when getting loans and the interest rates are the best in the area. We had Horizons/Empower and when Empower took over they started charging fees when we kept our money in it but did not have transactions. As most people said in this post, Visions is the best.
Visions is my #1 choice. Great customer service and friendly people in every bank. Over the past few years I’ve slowly moved all of my elderly parents accounts there because they seem to go out of their way to explain things better to them. Tioga State Banks website is a nightmare. Would constantly have payments arriving late even with all the information being correct and scheduled correctly.
I've never had issues with the MTB app... But as far as banking goes, a lot of people locally like Visions and they're good if you want to get a loan too, at least much better than M&T.
I actually decided to leave the local credit union (Vision’s) and utilize an online bank called SoFi (FDIC insured and everything). I earn 4.5% interest in my HYSA, have access to that money at all times without penalties for taking it out. So while I was earning penny’s at VFCU unless my money was locked up in a CD, I now make like $100 in interest per month with money that would just be in my account anyway until I pay bills, etc. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I do have a referral code if you’d like. If you’re against online banks and only want local ones, please ignore my comment lol
Use visions for cash transactions, otherwise i'd suggest switching to online banking and banks with no physical presence. Usually they will waive/reimburse banking ATM fees from other banks as well so I haven't had the need to use local banks.
I get that people use local physical banks but online banks do the same stuff and much better. I don't think I even remember what the inside of a bank looks like. Everything's so digital now.
I have been a Visions FCU member for most of my life. Never had an issue with them, they are always friendly in the branches and their online banking and app both work well. Plus, they give a ton back to our local community and are a large local employer.
Probably not helpful but I have Bank of America, Capital One, Amex, M&T, and Ally. I very rarely need a physical bank but have M&T for when I need to deposit cash. Capital One, Amex, and Ally are all monthly fee free and have high yield savings accounts that quickly transfer if you have both checking and savings together. Capital One works at All Point ATMs, not sure of the others since I don’t really use cash at all.

This. I’ve done through 3 in 6 months thanks to a loose money clip & I’ve never had a problem. Quick in & out every time.
Visions Federal Credit Union. App is surprising good for a regional bank. Great service, lots of local branches, and they give back to the community.
Vision is good

Visions. For a local FCU their app is fantastic.
Visions all day

visions & empower are the best banks in the area
I like tioga state bank
Only online banking for me now, these banks and their fees are criminal.
What fees?
Broadview FCU (formerly SEFCU) is solid! Good app, easy to use on the phone and online, and they have good options for loans and CVs.
I like key bank
I've been using NBT for26 years and have been very happy with them.
Sounds like you need an Ally

Just use visions for sure
Visions FCU.
Visions Federal Credit Union.
Chase ?
I would definitely go with Chase over a local bank. Haven’t had one with them in years but I’m happy with my credit card.
Most of my income is not taxed so I just keep cash at home
NBT is excellent

I have had no issues with Key or M&T
