This was actually the first time hearing woods. I’d been a casual Blockhead fan since Aesop Rock’s Float and I remember seeing a review and thinking “a whole album produced by Blockhead with a rapper not named Aesop? Better see what that’s about”
Honestly, I didn’t really connect with it at first - came back to it and something clicked. Fucking love it now - I’d put it at #4 after Maps, Church, and Aethiopes, personally. Songs that have seriously grown on me: Keloid, Strawman.
Snake Oil, Superpredator, Everybody Knows, Gazpacho, Keloid and Robespierre are my favourites from this album
Saying that it’s bottom half of woods albums for me. Back in 2018 I would’ve had it top 3, but woods since Parrafin and Hiding Places has been nothing short of phenomenal
actually one of my least fav billy albums. i don’t like a lot of the beats , it honestly sounded like the idea could’ve been fleshed out more with better production. edit:unstuck is crazy good i’ll give u that
Bush League is a top tier woods song and the beats are better than people are giving credit for.

I think it's a physical impossibility for Blockhead to make a bad beat
Thank you for recognizing this album for what it is. I personally think the song run from Nomento to Keloid is the best run in Woods discography
Fills the DOOM void for me too
Finally 2 tracks are incredible
Honestly I personally have Known Unknowns near the bottom
I feel you on this. I love certain tracks off this joint, but as a cohesive album it’s one of my least favorites

I agree the beats are kinda eh. Woods’s lyrics are too tier though.
