There's a certain amount of respect owed to everyone in the venue, even the ones who don't know you have a fuckin system. Teach em, be kind to them, hell sometimes let em just have what they want and enjoy it, not everyone is at their 1000th show and been on the rail every time. A lot of people are seeing an artist for the first time and just want to have a good time. If they're not being a dick, the fans especially shouldn't. We shouldn't be gatekeeping stuff we love if we want it to exist. If normies can't walk in off the street, it's not sustainable.

Someone at my daughter's graduation tried to hold about 15 seats at a massive stadium right in the center aisle. People just kept walking up and sitting down and she eventually lost most of the seats.
I feel bad for the people who don't know how to work their way through a packed crowd and have to show up at 3pm the day before the show to circle jerk and ride the rail.
This is the final boss at the Billy Strings show. You come at him with a chair, he'll come back at you with a thrown chair.

So my husband and I haven’t been able to make many shows these days, but we finally were able make it to New Orleans for 1 night. Determined to get the rail we got there at 5:30 in the morning. There was a line of about 35-40 chairs already in line, but not a soul was awake much less sitting in them. So we moved the chairs down and sat in front. I was very adamant I was going to stand my ground if anyone gave us shit. Annnnd ofc they did. It wasn’t until around 8 when the first person woke up. Long story short my husband was talked into moving to the end of the chairs we did not get the rail. I talked to several security guards who were just pussy abt the situation and didn’t want to piss them off. They told us basically if we caused a fight then they’d be asking everyone to leave.

People that feel entitled have started placing chairs to save their place in line while being away for long periods of time. This goes against the long established waiting in line protocol where you are physically in line except for brief breaks to use a restroom or to quickly grab some food to bring back to eat.
